In the article is shown, basing on the data of the January and May 1995 population polls, with involvement of; comparative indicators for 1989 and 1991, that:1) Among the young people (16-^30 years), there are more supporters of market reformation in :Russia's economic system, less pessimists predicting worse times and a further aggravation of the "economicand political situation, and morethose who see real positive changes. j2) At the,same;time, these positive, prerequisites in the,general mood have not yet led to formation, of a new, qualitatively more, progressive, labour motivation.,The young people's labour motivation.has endured sufficient changes at the beginning of the 1990s. The significance of, instrumental motives characteristic of working people of. older age categories has drastically increased.
