Abstract

Erwachsenenbildung wird mit hohen Erwartungen bedacht, um die Herausforderungen der Zeit wie Migration oder Veränderungen am Arbeitsmarkt in den Griff zu bekommen. Aber was macht die Erwachsenenbildung in Österreich tatsächlich aus? Was kann, soll und möchte sie künftig für welche Zielgruppen anbieten? Die Online-Redaktion des Magazin erwachsenenbildung.at befragte Regina Barth, seit 2012 Leiterin der Abteilung Erwachsenenbildung des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Frauen, zum Selbstverständnis ihrer Abteilung, zu vergangenen und absehbaren Entwicklungen und Veränderungen der Erwachsenenbildung in Österreich, zur Bildungspolitik der EU u.dgl.m. Gemeinsame Vision der Abteilung Erwachsenenbildung ist: Es soll in der Gesellschaft keine Rolle spielen, woher jemand kommt – sozial und regional. Jeder und jede soll Zugang zu Bildung haben. Und die vielfältige Gesellschaft sollte sich auch in den Institutionen, die Erwachsenenbildung anbieten, widerspiegeln. But what really constitutes adult education in Austria? What can it, should it and would it like to offer for which target audiences in the future? The online editorial staff of the Austrian Open Access Journal on Adult Education (Magazin erwachsenenbildung.at) asked Regina Barth, head of the adult education administrative unit at the Federal Ministry of Education and Women's Affairs since 2012, about how her unit sees itself, past and foreseeable developments and changes in adult education in Austria, the educational policy of the EU and more. The shared vision of the adult education administrative unit is: Where you come from – your class and your place of origin – should not play a role in society. Education should be accessible to everyone, and this diverse society should be reflected in the institutions that provide adult education. (DIPF/Orig.)
