Indonesia: highway maintenance and betterment project

Abstract

The Indonesian transport sector is overviewed. The project would provide for: periodic maintenance of some 6,600 km of national and provincial roads and repairs of some 2,200 m of bridges; betterment of some 1,900 km of national and provincial roads; and replacement of some 7,000 m of bridges. Equipment would be provided to improve the efficiency of road maintenance in 26 provinces and for design and quality control of road construction and maintenance works. The project also includes components for technical assistance services and overseas training. Project costs and financing.
