Peace Begins at Home. International Conflict: A Domestic Responsibility
In: International journal of peace studies, Band 6, Heft 1, S. 3-9
Abstract
Engages the subject of international conflict, examining power politics & international relations in pursuit of a theory that explains the power of human needs. To approach such a theory, Burton examines the nature of conflict as opposed to disagreement & concludes that some human need will be pursued regardless of cost or consequence. If something is to be done about conflict, there has to be decision-making processes leading to problem-solving policy. It is concluded that domestic policies must cater to human developmental need to achieve domestic harmony. 5 References. J. Backman
