Se analiza el conocimiento, uso, valoración e impacto de las redes sociales Facebook y Twitter y los buscadores bibliográficos por parte del Personal Docente e Investigador (PDI) de las tres universidades gallegas. Metodología: Se realizó una encuesta sobre el universo de los 5.498 docentes e investigadores, obteniendo una muestra de 463 respuestas, con un margen de error inferior al 5% y un intervalo de confianza del 95%. Resultados: El 50,2% del PDI considera la idoneidad de Facebook y Twitter para la docencia y la investigación frente al 49,8% que no. Scopus y Google Scholar son los buscadores más conocidos, con porcentajes superiores al 80% y una utilización superior al 60%, y EBSCO y EMBASE los menos. Discusión y conclusiones: Existe un estimable conocimiento y utilización de buscadores y opiniones enfrentadas entre quienes consideran la idoneidad de Facebook y Twitter para la docencia y la investigación y quienes no, lo cual sugiere un debate.
The Covid-19 vaccination has meant a huge challenge for crisis communication. After months of lockdowns, mass vaccination was a silver lining moment, but it was under threat from disinformation boosted by misinformation on social media. This research explores how opinion leaders among political leaders and health experts used Twitter to create and manage messages about the vaccination process. Specifically, we show the issues (issue frame) and strategies (game frame) applied by these actors. This study employs a corpus on the words "Covid-19" and "vaccines" used on Twitter by the heads of government and 10 recognized health experts (two for each country) in the US, the UK, France, Portugal, and Spain. We also analyze the accounts of fact-checking projects on those countries (@PolitiFact, @FullFact, @decodeurs, @JornalPoligrafo, and @maldita). The sample allows the comparison of countries with different political cultures that participated differently in the production of vaccines. The data were captured from the beginning of the vaccination drive (December 14th, 2020) until most of the population above 60 were vaccinated (May 14th, 2021). A manual content analysis was performed on the tweets (n = 2,607). The results illustrate that the politicians mostly disagreed with experts regarding issues and strategies. This finding can foster distrust in the elites and, therefore, threatens the long-term success of a public health campaign. Our study contributes to discussions on the role of networks for social cohesion, arguing that the public conversation on Twitter about the vaccination has revealed high levels of controversy. ; Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación | Ref. Presentamos una reflexión sobre los estudios universitarios españoles que combinan los conceptos de marketing y relaciones públicas. Compartiendo orígenes y a menudo funciones y especialistas, ambos conceptos han recorrido caminos paralelos que se han fusionado en múltiples ocasiones. Esta evolución ha sido estudiada desde diferentes puntos de vista. Inicialmente, los expertos en marketing incluyeron las técnicas de relaciones públicas como una herramienta propia, pero éstas fueron alcanzando una mayor relevancia a lo largo del tiempo. Por otro lado, los estudiosos de las relaciones públicas han tratado de disociarse del marketing para adquirir una posición independiente dentro del campo de la comunicación. En España, estas diferencias conceptuales están actualmente desdibujadas debido a la creación de nuevos títulos universitarios y dobles títulos que combinan ambas disciplinas. Esta tendencia se evidencia en el mercado universitario español que, a lo largo de este artículo, se comparará con otros mercados: el americano y el británico, como referencia científica para ambos conceptos, y con el portugués, dada su proximidad geográfica. Reflexionaremos sobre las razones que han llevado al mercado universitario español a conjugar ambos conceptos y a ofrecer estudios oficiales que los incluyan en su nomenclatura, lejos de la tradición histórica de este país, donde los estudios de relaciones públicas han estado relacionados con el campo de la comunicación, mientras que los de marketing han estado relacionados con el campo de la economía. La identificación de esta tendencia en el mercado laboral de los profesionales de la comunicación organizativa plantea nuevos retos a las instituciones de formación, especialmente a las universidades. Palabras clave: Marketing, Relaciones Públicas, España, Portugal, UK, USAAbstract The following is a reflection on Spanish undergraduate studies that combine the concepts of marketing and public relations. Sharing origins and often functions and specialists, both concepts have run parallel paths that have merged on multiple occasions. This evolution has been studied from different points of view. Initially, marketing experts included PR techniques as an additional tool to grant it a greater specific instrumental relevance over time. On the other hand, PR scholars have tried to dissociate themselves from marketing in order acquire an independent position within the field of communication. In Spain, these conceptual differences are currently blurred due to the creation of new university degrees and double degrees combining both disciplines. This trend is evidenced within the Spanish university market which, throughout this article, will be compared to other markets, namely the American and the British ones, as a scientific reference for both concepts, and to the Portuguese one, given its geographical proximity. We will reflect on the reasons that have led the Spanish university market to combine both concepts and to offer official studies that include them in their nomenclature, far from the historical tradition in this country, where studies in public relations have been related to the field of communication, while those in marketing have been related to the field of economics. The identification of this trend in the job market of organisational communication professionals poses new challenges to training institutions, especially to universities. This is a reflection about the use of the Galician language as a language between the Portuguese and the Spanish. Based on several institutional actions, we propose a comparative study on the use of the Galician language in business abroad in countries of lusophony, taking as a reference different promotional campaigns of the government of the Xunta de Galicia. The research will work with the data of several interviews with embassy officials from five Portuguese-speaking countries and Galician businessmen who negotiate there. ; Planteamos una reflexión sobre el uso del idioma gallego como lengua vehicular entre el portugués y el español. A partir de varias acciones institucionales, proponemos un estudio comparativo sobre el uso de la lengua gallega en los negocios en el ámbito de la lusofonía, tomando como referencia varias campañas promocionales del gobierno de la Xunta de Galicia. La investigación recopila datos mediante entrevistas en profundidad a responsables de las embajadas de cinco países lusófonos y a empresarios gallegos que negocian en los mismos. La hipótesis manejada es que la utilización del gallego contribuye al entendimiento dentro del ámbito de la lusofonía, pero hace falta una mayor inmersión en el idioma a la hora de afrontar una negociación internacional; este proceso de inmersión lingüística también debe incluir conocimientos culturales como el uso del protocolo y el ceremonial, el valor de la gastronomía o el sentido del tiempo, entre otros.
This research analyses the history, evolution, audiences and thematic agenda of the televised electoral debates in Spain, comparing them with those held in France, Germany and UK. It aims to observe the possible similarities and differences within the audio-visual, political and legal European context. A quantitative and qualitative study of the audiences has been conducted, comparing the national and regional results with those of the most viewed shows in the year of celebration of every debate. Moreover, their thematic blocks and public agenda. To conclude, in the case of Spain the relative audience of the televised debates is remarkable. In the case European context, it is necessary to highlight the lack of evenness and harmonization in the formats, due to both the diversity of the political and party systems in each country and the lack of specific electoral laws in the national states and the own European Union. ; Esta investigación hace un análisis de la historia, evolución, audiencias y agenda temática de los debates electorales televisados celebrados en España, comparándolos con los celebrados en Francia, Alemania y Reino Unido, con la intención de observar las posibles semejanzas y diferencias dentro del contexto audiovisual, político y normativo europeo. Se realiza un estudio cuantitativo y cualitativo de las audiencias, comparando los resultados a nivel nacional y autonómico con los programas más vistos de la televisión en los años de celebración de cada debate, además de analizar los bloques temáticos y agenda pública. Como conclusión, en el caso de España, la audiencia relativa de los debates televisados y, en el contexto europeo, la falta de uniformidad y armonización de formatos, debido tanto a la diversidad de los sistemas políticos y partidistas de cada país, como a la ausencia de normativas electorales específicas de los estados nacionales y de la propia Unión Europea.

El presente trabajo desarrolla y propone 29 indicadores de transparencia aplicables a las televisiones públicas, para posteriormente ensayarlos de forma experimental con la Televisión Nacional de Chile (TVN) y Televisión Española (TVE). Metodología: Siguiendo el método analítico, se aplican esos indicadores a la información disponible en las páginas web de TVN y TVE, para finalmente puntuar su nivel de transparencia dentro de una escala de 0 a 100. Resultados: La mayor transparencia se observa en relación con la producción de información y acceso a contenidos, seguido de la información económica. La mayor opacidad tiene que ver con la información institucional y la referida al personal directivo. Discusión y conclusiones: El nivel de transparencia de TVN y TVE es el mismo, ambas obtienen una puntuación de 62,069 sobre 100. Además, se demuestra la validez de los indicadores propuestos para valorar el nivel de transparencia de diferentes televisiones y establecer comparaciones equitativas y objetivas entre ellas, aunque deberán ser ampliados en el futuro
En el contexto del enfrentamiento político y mediático de las últimas elecciones presidenciales de los Estados Unidos de América, esta investigación compara el impacto y alcance de la opinión política de los medios tradicionales de referencia (The New York Times y The Washington Post), frente a dos medios nativos digitales (The Huffington Post y Politico.com), a través del análisis de un total de 162 editoriales y artículos de opinión publicados en sus respectivos espacios digitales y en las redes sociales. El resultado muestra que los medios nativos digitales analizados no amenazan el liderazgo de los medios tradicionales en la red, aunque el impacto y alcance de los editoriales de ambos es bajo y se observa la ausencia de una estrategia y criterio a la hora de posicionarse en la red, donde no consiguen ganar espacio, además de un escaso interés de los lectores online por la opinión política ; In the context of the political and media confrontation of the last presidential elections of the United States of America, this research compares the impact and scope of the traditional media's political opinion (The New York Times and The Washington Post) against two digital native media (The Huffington Post and Politico.com), through the analysis of a total of 162 publishers and opinion pieces published in their respective digital spaces and social networks. The result shows that the digital native media analyzed do not threaten the leadership of the traditional media on the net, although the impact and scope of the publishers of both are low and it is observed the absence of a strategy and criterion when it is positioned on the net, where they do not manage to gain space, and also it is proved a little interest of the online readers in the political opinion ; SI
Esta investigación hace un análisis de la historia, evolución, audiencias y agenda temática de los debates electorales televisados celebrados en España, comparándolos con los celebrados en Francia, Alemania y Reino Unido, con la intención de observar las posibles semejanzas y diferencias dentro del contexto audiovisual, político y normativo europeo. Se realiza un estudio cuantitativo y cualitativo de las audiencias, comparando los resultados a nivel nacional y autonómico con los programas más vistos de la televisión en los años de celebración de cada debate, además de analizar los bloques temáticos y agenda pública.
