The purpose of the article is to outline the current problems in modern museum studies regarding the negative impact on the public perception of museum activities of the manipulation of the term 'museum' in the names of consumer infrastructure and periodicals. Research methodology. General scientific research methods were used, in particular historical, method of analysis, typological, method of analogies, method of generalization. Scientific novelty. The state and degree of speculation research with the term 'museum' in the names of elements of consumer infrastructure are determined. It is revealed that such a phenomenon did not originate in the 21st century but has existed since pre-Soviet times. It is determined why the speculation process with the term 'museum' is so popular in Ukraine and abroad. Conclusions. The article reflects the position of the authors on the use of the term 'museum' in the names of consumer infrastructure institutions – cafes, restaurants; usually carried out in order to use the authority of museums to attract new customers and consumers. Today it is popular to decorate catering establishments and cafes using antiques without investing in a special concept or design. A proposal was made to amend the legislation on the names of legal entities. ; Цель статьи – определить существующие в современном музееведении актуальные проблемы негативного влияния на общественное представление о музейной деятельности манипуляции термином «музей» в названиях субъектов потребительской инфраструктуры и на страницах периодической прессы. Методология исследования. Использованы общенаучные методы исследования, в частности исторический, метод анализа, типологический, метод аналогий, метод обобщения. Научная новизна. Определены состояние и степень исследования спекуляции термином «музей» в названиях элементов потребительской инфраструктуры. Выявлено, что подобное явление не зародилось в XXI веке, а имеется еще с досоветских времен. Определено, почему процесс спекуляции термином «музей» так популярен в Украине и за рубежом. Выводы. В статье отражена позиция авторов по использованию термина «музей» в названиях учреждений потребительской инфраструктуры – кафе, ресторанов; обычно осуществляется с целью применения авторитета музеев для привлечения новых клиентов и потребителей. Сегодня популярно украшать заведения общественного питания и кафе, используя предметы старины и не вкладывая в это специальную концепцию или замысел. Высказано предложение внести изменения в законодательство о наименованиях юридических лиц. ; Мета статті – окреслити наявні в сучасному музеєзнавстві актуальні проблеми щодо негативного впливу на суспільне уявлення про музейну діяльність маніпуляції терміном «музей» у назвах суб'єктів споживчої інфраструктури та на сторінках періодичної преси. Методологія дослідження. Використано загальнонаукові методи дослідження, зокрема історичний, метод аналізу, типологічний, метод аналогій, метод узагальнення. Наукова новизна. Визначено стан і ступінь дослідження спекуляції терміном «музей» у назвах елементів споживчої інфраструктури. Виявлено, що подібне явище не зародилося у ХХІ ст., а наявне ще з дорадянських часів. Визначено, чому процес спекуляції терміном «музей» такий популярний в Україні та за кордоном. Висновки. У статті висвітлено позицію авторів щодо використання терміна «музей» у назвах установ споживчої інфраструктури – кафе, ресторанів, що зазвичай здійснюється з метою застосування авторитету музеїв для приваблення нових клієнтів і споживачів. На сьогодні популярно декорувати заклади громадського харчування та кафе, використовуючи предмети старовини та не вкладаючи в це спеціальну концепцію чи задум. Висловлено пропозицію внести зміни до законодавства про назви юридичних осіб.

The urgency of the publication is conditioned by the need to adapt the existing accounting and reporting principles to the needs of construction enterprises accounting, so as there is the low level of coverage of this issue in scientific publications.The purpose of the study is to adapt the principles of accounting and reporting to the needs of financial results accounting of construction enterprises. General scientific and special methods of knowledge of economic phenomena and processes are applied.The application of the principles and methods of accounting has a significant impact on the pricing process in construction, the calculation of financial results of the main activities of construction enterprises, providing relevant information for the adoption of sound management decisions.The study identifies the main principles of accounting and reporting. It is found that it is expedient to make changes to National accounting standard 1, in particular to remove three principles (caution, historical (actual) cost and periodicity). It is proposed to clarify the names of the principles of autonomy and continuity, to combine the notion of "accounting principle", "the principle of compiling financial statements" into a single terminological structure - the principle of accounting and financial reporting.In the international accounting and financial reporting standards, accounting principles are set out in international accounting standard 1 and the Conceptual Framework for Financial Statements, namely: accrual and continuity. At the same time, on the Conceptual basis of financial statements, there is no section devoted to the principles of accounting, their mention is fragmentary.The principles of accounting in different countries of the world are investigated, their adaptation to the accounting of construction enterprises activity in the context of the process approach in construction is carried out.We consider it expedient to adapt the accrual principle to take into account the provisions of international accounting standard 1, which refers not only to income and expenses but also to assets, liabilities, and equity.It should also be taken into account that some construction companies may form non-financial statements, since information should not be limited to digital expressions. In accordance with the provisions of Directive 2014/95 of European Union of 22.10.2014, large enterprises should prepare a non-financial report (a component of the management report) containing information on policies, environmental protection, employment issues, social issues, respect for human rights, combating corruption and bribery, etc. Consequently, large enterprises engaged in construction (the average number of employees during the reporting period is 500 with any amount of annual income), non-financial information present in non-financial statements.A grouping of the principles of accounting and financial reporting is carried out. The proposals of scientists concerning the principles of accounting are covered. It is determined that under present conditions the ongoing globalization processes necessitate additional informative filling of the reporting of business entities. Therefore, information on economic, social and environmental aspects of the activity is provided in non-financial reporting. Further research will be associated with the adaptation of the accounting principles to other accounting objects. ; Актуальність публікації зумовлюється необхідністю проведення адаптації існуючих принципів обліку та звітності до потреб обліку будівельних підприємств, зважаючи на низький рівень висвітлення цього питання в наукових публікаціях. Метою виконання дослідження є пристосування принципів бухгалтерського обліку та звітності до потреб обліку фінансових результатів будівельних підприємств. Застосовано загальнонаукові і спеціальні методи пізнання економічних явищ і процесів. У дослідженні ідентифіковано основні принципи бухгалтерського обліку та звітності. Встановлено, що доцільно в НПСБО 1 внести зміни, зокрема вилучити три принципи (обачності, історичної (фактичної) собівартості та періодичності). Запропоновано уточнити назви принципів автономності і безперервності, об'єднати поняття «принцип бухгалтерського обліку», «принцип складання фінансової звітності» в єдину термінологічну конструкцію – принцип бухгалтерського обліку та фінансової звітності. Проведено адаптацію принципів ведення обліку до обліку діяльності будівельних підприємств у розрізі процесного підходу у будівництві. Виконано групування принципів бухгалтерського обліку і фінансової звітності. Висвітлено пропозиції науковців щодо принципів бухгалтерського обліку. З'ясовано, шо в умовах сьогодення глобалізаційні процеси, які відбуваються, зумовлюють необхідність у додатковому інформаційному наповненні звітності суб'єктів господарювання. Відтак інформація про економічні, соціальні та екологічні аспекти діяльності наводиться у нефінансовій звітності.

Legal aspects of tourist tax сollection under the conditions of the contract, which is initiatedby local governments The procedure for concluding andare developed and approved by local governments, were analyzed. The contracts were divided into three groups. The first group includes the contracts with legal entities authorized to collect tourist tax. The second group includes the contracts with legal entities and individual entrepreneurs whose main or secondary activity is related to the provision of temporary accommodation services (with tax agents). The third group includes the contracts with individuals who are not registered as business entity and rent their housing for temporary residence.The following types of contracts were identified: 1) the bilateral contract which contains the featuresof the service contract; 2) the unilateral / bilateral contract which contains the features of the contract of the assignment; 3) the unilateral contract with sequential numbering of its structural elements, with an unspecified subject of the contract and without textual designation of the name of its semantic parts.The inconsistency of certain terms of contracts, the inconsistency of the name and content of individual itemsof the contracts and the incorrect use of economic terminology in the text were installed. The recommendations for amendments to the contract, in particular the formulation of its subject, were created.The inexpediency of concluding the contracts on the collection of tourist tax by local governmentswith subordinate communal enterprises and business entities, which have the status of a taxagent in accordance with paragraph «a» of subparagraph 268.5.2 of paragraph 268.5 of article 268 of the Tax Code of Ukraine, was substantiated. The attention was focused on the compliance with the purposeof activity, the subject of activity, responsibilities which are set out in the charter, information about the types of economic activity of utility companies and the subject of contract on the collection of tourist tax, concluded with them by the local government.The procedure for appointing a legal entity for collection the tourist tax by local government was substantiated. The implementation of this procedure allows to reduce the paperwork and prevents theunproductive use of working time of employees involved in this process. The paragraph «a» ofsubparagraph 268.5.2 of paragraph 268.5 of article 268 of the Tax Code of Ukraine was offered to state in such edition: «to collect the tourist by legal entities andindividual entrepreneurs, which are appointed by the decision of village, settlement, city council or the council of the united territorial community, and in case of providing temporary residence services by individuals who are not registered as business entity». the text of standard forms of contractson the collection of tourist tax, which ; У статті проаналізовано процедуру укладання і текст типових форм договорів про справляння туристичного збору, що розроблені та затверджені органами місцевого самоврядування. Договори поділено на три групи: з юридичними особами, уповноваженими справляти туристичний збір,з юридичними особами, фізичними особами – підприємцями, основна або другорядна діяльність яких пов'язана з наданням послуг із тимчасового розміщення (з податковими агентами), з фізичними особами, які не зареєстровані як суб'єкт підприємницької діяльності і здають належне їм житло для тимчасового проживання. Виявлено такі види договорів: 1) двосторонній, містить ознаки договору про надання послуги; 2) односторонній/двосторонній, містить ознаки договору доручення; 3) односторонній, із крізною нумерацією структурних елементів без текстового позначення назви його смислових частин з не сформульованим предметом договору. Установлено неузгодженість окремих умов договорів, невідповідність назви і змісту окремих пунктів, неправильне використання в тексті економічної термінології. Розроблено рекомендації щодо правок договору, зокрема формулювання його предмету. Обґрунтовано недоцільність укладання органами місцевого самоврядування договорів про справляння туристичного збору з підпорядкованими їм комунальними підприємствами та суб'єктами господарювання, які згідно з п. «а» пп. 268.5.2 п. 268.5 ст. 268 Податкового кодексу України мають статус податкового агента. Акцентовано увагу на відповідності мети, предмету діяльності, обов'язків, визначених у статуті, відомостей про види економічної діяльності комунальних підприємств предмету укладеного з ними органом місцевого самоврядування договору про справляння туристичного збору. Аргументовано процедуру призначення органом місцевого самоврядування юридичної особи для справляння туристичного збору,впровадження якої дозволяє скоротити документообіг та унеможлилює непродуктивне використання робочого часу службовців, зайнятих у цьому процесі. Запропоновано п. «в» пп. 268.5.2 п. 268.5 ст. 268 Податкового кодексу України викласти в такій редакції: «юридичними особами і фізичними особами-підприємцями, які призначено рішенням сільської, селищної, міської ради або ради об'єднаної територіальної громади справляти туристичний збір у випадку надання послуг тимчасового проживання фізичними особами, які не зареєстровані як суб'єкти підприємницької діяльності».

The article considers the scientific and methodological principles of geographical study of the regional identity of the population, analyzes and assesses the current state of the language situation in the region and creates recommendations for the Ukrainianization of public life in the region. The main attention is paid to the study of the language situation in Sumy region by conducting questionnaires, analysis of markers of territorial identity and information flows. The relevance of this approach is explained by the role of language as one of the most important and stable ethnic characteristics. Gender and age of respondents, as well as place of residence (type of settlement) were taken into account. The key element of the article is the results of the study, which cover the spread of Ukrainian, Russian and surzhik (pidgin) in everyday life of the region, their level of awareness about Ukrainian language being a civic value, the desire to learn foreign languages as an indicator of geopolitical orientation. According to the results of the research, a series of maps and diagrams was created. An important manifestation of regional identity is toponymy, the names of local media, businesses and brands, catering establishments, hotels, sports teams and others. Ukrainian language as a mother tongue predominates in most administrative units of Sumy region. At the same time, the real bilingualism of the region's residents has formed the phenomenon of the most widespread so-called surzhik (pidgin) in Ukraine. Sumy region is not an integral historical and geographical region, perhaps that is why it does not have a high level of regional identity. The absence of obvious manifestations of separatism ensures a certain political stability in the region. The process of creating a Ukrainian political nation continues, so the recommendations for the Ukrainianization of public life are based on the analysis of existing practices, existing multimedia content in the actual "information war" and take into account the ethnogeographical specifics of the region, its border position and current socio-political situation. ; В статті розглянуто науково-методичні засади географічного дослідження регіональної ідентичності населення, проведено аналіз і оцінку сучасного стану мовної ситуації в регіоні та сформульовано рекомендації щодо українізації суспільного життя регіону. Головна увага приділена вивченню мовної ситуації в Сумській області шляхом проведення анкетування, аналізу маркерів територіальної ідентичності та інформаційних потоків. Актуальність такого підходу пояснюється роллю мови як однієї з найважливіших та найстійкіших етнічних ознак. До уваги бралися стать і вік респондентів, а також місце проживання (тип населеного пункту). Ключовим елементом статті є результати дослідження, які охоплюють поширення української, російської мов та суржику у повсякденному житті жителів регіону, рівень усвідомлення ними української мови як громадянської цінності, бажання вивчати іноземні мови як показник геополітичної орієнтації населення області. За результатами дослідження створено серію картосхем і діаграм. Важливим проявом регіональної ідентичності є топоніміка, назви місцевих засобів масової інформації, підприємств і торгових марок, закладів громадського харчування, готелів, спортивних команд тощо. Українська мова як рідна переважає в абсолютній більшості адміністративних одиниць Сумщини. Водночас реальна двомовність жителів області сформувала феномен найбільшого поширення на теренах України так званого суржику. Сумська область не являє собою цілісного історико-географічного регіону, можливо, саме тому не відрізняється високим рівнем регіональної ідентичності населення. Відсутність явних проявів сепаратизму забезпечує певну політичну стабільність в регіоні. Процес творення української політичної нації триває, тому рекомендації щодо українізації суспільного життя базуються на аналізі існуючих практик, наявного мультимедійного контенту в умовах фактичної «інформаційної війни» та враховують етногеографічну специфіку регіону, його прикордонне положення і сучасну суспільно-політичну ситуацію.

The paper analyzes the project of creation of "New Kharkiv" – a "socialist town" for workers of Kharkiv Tractor Plant (KhTZ) at the level of its development, implementation and memory. Today, the space of "the town" is the heart of the Industrialnyi (1934–2016 Ordzhonikidzevskyi) district of Kharkiv, located on the northeast outskirts of the city. The article analyzes the project of "the town", everyday practices of its inhabitants in the 1930s, the image of the district in city guides, the symbolic changes that took place in the toponymics of the district during decommunization. It has been established that the authors and developers of the project were a team of young architects led by P. Alyoshin. The designers tried to realize the social ideals of the era through specific architectural solutions. It was assumed that all the residents of the town would be workers whose way of life would be in socialized to the limit. For this purpose, no kitchens were designed in the apartments, which was intended to provide public eating facilities. Some odious ideas (connecting the houses with corridor-bridges at the second floor level) were rejected in the early stages of implementation. The authors of city guides during the second half of the XX century. advised guests and residents of the city to visit the area of the "social town". Although its description is devoid of the pathos of the first five-year plan, it is labeled "model", "cozy", "green". The positive image of the area was marginalized in the early 1990s. With the decline of the economy, the collapse of the social sphere of enterprises, the working districts and towns in Ukraine lose their metaphorical meaning. The KhTZ area was no exception. The analysis of changes in the toponymics of the district shows that during the decommunization its space was deprived of the most odious Soviet political figures (S. Ordzhonikidze, S. Kosior, etc.). More than half of the streets were named after Soviet figures who are directly related to the development of the area and/or worked/were born in Kharkiv. New toponymic names reflect the historical context of origin and the essence of the working outskirts. ; У роботі здійснено аналіз проєкту створення «Нового Харкова» – «соціалістичного містечка» для робітників Харківського тракторного заводу (ХТЗ) на рівні розробки, реалізації та пам'яті про нього. Сьогодні простір «містечка» є серцевиною Індустріального (1934–2016рр. Орджонікідзевського) району Харкова, розташованого на північно-східній околиці міста. У статті аналізується проєкт «містечка», повсякденні практики його мешканців у 1930-ті, образ району в путівниках по місту, символічні зміни, що відбулись у топоніміці району під час декомунізації. Встановлено, що авторами-розробниками проєкту був колектив молодих архітекторів на чолі з П.Альошиним. Проєктувальники намагалися реалізувати суспільні ідеали епохи завдяки специфічним архітектурним рішенням. Передбачалося, що всі мешканці містечка будуть робітниками, побут яких буде максимально усуспільнено. Для цієї мети у квартирах не було запроєктовано кухонь, що мало забезпечити відвідування закладів громадського харчування. Окремі неприйнятні ідеї (з'єднання будинків коридорами-мостами на рівні другого поверху) були відкинуті на перших стадіях реалізації. Автори путівників по місту протягом другої половини ХХ ст. радили гостям та мешканцям міста відвідати район «соцмістечка». Його опис, хоч і позбавлений пафосу років першої п'ятирічки, втім, маркується як «зразковий», «затишний», «зелений». Позитивний образ району маргіналізується на початку 1990-х років. Із занепадом економіки, розвалом соціальної сфери підприємств робітничі райони та містечка в Україні втрачають метафоричний сенс свого існування. Район ХТЗ не був винятком. Аналіз змін у топоніміці району свідчить, що під час декомунізації його простір був позбавлений найбільш одіозних радянських політичних діячів (С.Орджонікідзе, С. Косіор та ін.). Більша половина вулиць була названа на честь радянський діячів, життя чи діяльність яких безпосередньо стосуються розвитку району та/чи Харкова. Нові топонімічні назви відображають історичний контекст виникнення та сутність робітничої околиці.

Peculiarities of life, military, the diplomatic activity of Doctor of Sciences in Geography, O. I. Stepaniv, as well as her scientific achievements as a Ukrainian geographer and geologist, are revealed. Olena Stepanov was the first woman in Ukraine and the world – a military officer in the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen (Ukrainski Sichovi Striltsi, USS) and the Ukrainian Galician Army (Ukrainska Halytska Armiia, UHA) during the First World War and the Ukrainian Liberation War of 1917–1921, a diplomatic official of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic and the Ukrainian People's Republic. Having a doctorate in geography and history, she made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian geographical science, including economic and social geography, as well as transport geography and modern understanding of geologistics. The last two areas of geographical science are most fully disclosed in her work "Modern Lviv", which provides a comprehensive description of the transport infrastructure of Lviv and Lviv region and its importance in the transport system of Ukraine, in particular, emphasizes the central position of Lviv as a transport and logistics hub on the trans-European way connecting the Baltic and Black Seas; identified the main transport routes of Lviv region, important on a national scale; in addition to the main roads, regional and local ones were identified and characterized. The characteristics of transport routes were combined with the indication of the most significant industrial enterprises of Lviv region; tourist and recreational areas and centres which were located on the ways of transport routes were indicated, as well as the tourist specialization of these centres (in textbooks on the geography of transport of the Soviet era, it was not mentioned at all); such transport and logistics indicators as road congestion, traffic intensity on them were used, as well as their historical names were given and their significance in the past was revealed. O. I. Stepaniv's scientific works remain relevant today. This applies not only to the problems of the geography of transport communication in modern Lviv but also to current issues of international logistics, in particular, Ukraine's participation in the Baltic-Black Sea transport and logistics integration system. O.I. Stepaniv's scientific works on transport geography are of direct importance to the most modern EU project in the field of transport and logistics – the Three Seas Initiative (TSI). The recent TSI Summit in Tallinn (October 19–20, 2020) highlighted the impact of the TSI on the entire Baltic-Adriatic Black Sea region. TSI is open to countries – strategic partners of the EU, including Ukraine. Although the latter is not a member of the EU, it was invited to the first TSI summit in 2016 andis currently an active participant in many projects under this Initiative, without having formal membership in the TSI. Ukraine should continue to cooperate with TSI, especially with Poland, in such important infrastructure projects as the Gdansk-Odesa highway, the railway Viking project, the development of gas infrastructure within the North-South corridor (involving Ukrainian underground storage facilities of "blue fuel"), etc. ; Розкрито особливості життя, військової, дипломатичної діяльності доктора географії О. І. Степанів, а також її науковий доробок як українського географа та геологіста. Олена Степанів була першою в Україні та світі жінкою – військовим офіцером в Українському січовому стрілецтві та Українській галицькій армії під час Першої світової війни й Українських визвольних змагань 1917–1921 рр., дипломатичним працівником ЗУНР та УНР. Маючи докторський ступінь з географії та історії, вона відзначилася значним внеском у розвиток української географічної науки, зокрема економічної та соціальної географії, а також транспортної географії та в сучасному розумінні геологістики. Останні два напрями географічної науки найбільш повно розкриті у її праці «Сучасний Львів», де подано комплексну характеристику транспортної інфраструктури Львова та Львівщини і її значення в транспортній системі України, зокрема підкреслено центральне положення Львова як транспортно-логістичного хабу на транс'європейському магістральному шляху, що з'єднує Балтійське і Чорне моря; визначено головні транспортні маршрути Львівщини, важливі у всеукраїнському масштабі; крім головних шляхів, виділено та схарактеризовано регіональні й локальні. Характеристику транспортних маршрутів поєднано із зазначенням найбільш істотних промислових підприємств Львівщини; вказано, які туристично-рекреаційні місцевості та центри розміщувалися по трасах транспортних шляхів, а також зазначено туристичну спеціалізацію цих центрів (у підручниках з географії транспорту радянської доби таке не зазначали взагалі); застосовано такі транспортно-логістичні показники, як завантаженість шляхів, інтенсивність руху на них, а також наведено їхні історичні назви та розкрито значення в минулому. Наукові праці О. І. Степанів зберігають свою актуальність і нині. Це стосується не тільки проблем географії транспортної комунікації сучасного Львова, а й актуальних питань міжнародної логістики, зокрема участі України в системі Балто-Чорноморської транспортно-логістичної інтеграції. Науковий доробок О. І. Степанів з географії транспорту має безпосереднє значення і для сучасного проєкту ЄС у транспортно-логістичній сфері – «Ініціативи Тримор'я» (ІТМ). Нещодавній саміт ІТМ у Таллінні (19–20 жовтня 2020 р.) підкреслив вплив ІТМ на весь балтійсько-адріатично-чорноморський регіон. ІТМ відкрита для країн – стратегічних партнерів ЄС, у т. ч. для України. Хоча остання не є членом ЄС, але вона булла запрошена на перший саміт ІТМ у 2016 р., і нині, не маючи офіційного членства в Тримор'ї, є активним учасником багатьох проєктів, що реалізуються в межах цієї ініціативи. Україні варто і надалі співпрацювати з ІТМ, передусім із Польщею, у таких важливих інфраструктурних проєктах, як автомагістраль Гданськ–Одеса, залізничне сполучення в межах проєкту «Вікінг», розвиток газової інфраструктури в межах коридору «Північ–Південь» (із залученням українських підземних сховищ блакитного палива) тощо.

Peculiarities of life, military, the diplomatic activity of Doctor of Sciences in Geography, O. I. Stepaniv, as well as her scientific achievements as a Ukrainian geographer and geologist, are revealed. The last two areas of geographical science are most fully disclosed in her work "Modern Lviv", which provides a comprehensive description of the transport infrastructure of Lviv and Lviv region and its importance in the transport system of Ukraine, in particular, emphasizes the central position of Lviv as a transport and logistics hub on the trans-European way connecting the Baltic and Black Seas; identified the main transport routes of Lviv region, important on a national scale; in addition to the main roads, regional and local ones were identified and characterized. The characteristics of transport routes were combined with the indication of the most significant industrial enterprises of Lviv region; tourist and recreational areas and centres which were located on the ways of transport routes were indicated, as well as the tourist specialization of these centres (in textbooks on the geography of transport of the Soviet era, it was not mentioned at all); such transport and logistics indicators as road congestion, traffic intensity on them were used, as well as their historical names were given and their significance in the past was revealed. O. I. Stepaniv's scientific works remain relevant today. This applies not only to the problems of the geography of transport communication in modern Lviv but also to current issues of international logistics, in particular, Ukraine's participation in the Baltic-Black Sea transport and logistics integration system. O.I. Stepaniv's scientific works on transport geography are of direct importance to the most modern EU project in the field of transport and logistics – the Three Seas Initiative (TSI). The recent TSI Summit in Tallinn (October 19–20, 2020) highlighted the impact of the TSI on the entire Baltic-Adriatic Black Sea region. TSI is open to countries – strategic partners of the EU, including Ukraine. Although the latter is not a member of the EU, it was invited to the first TSI summit in 2016 andis currently an active participant in many projects under this Initiative, without having formal membership in the TSI. Ukraine should continue to cooperate with TSI, especially with Poland, in such important infrastructure projects as the Gdansk-Odesa highway, the railway Viking project, the development of gas infrastructure within the North-South corridor (involving Ukrainian underground storage facilities of "blue fuel"), etc. ; Розкрито особливості життя, військової, дипломатичної діяльності доктора географії О. І. Степанів, а також її науковий доробок як українського географа та геологіста. Олена Степанів була першою в Україні та світі жінкою – військовим офіцером в Українському січовому стрілецтві та Українській галицькій армії під час Першої світової війни й Українських визвольних змагань 1917–1921 рр., дипломатичним працівником ЗУНР та УНР. Маючи докторський ступінь з географії та історії, вона відзначилася значним внеском у розвиток української географічної науки, зокрема економічної та соціальної географії, а також транспортної географії та в сучасному розумінні геологістики. Останні два напрями географічної науки найбільш повно розкриті у її праці «Сучасний Львів», де подано комплексну характеристику транспортної інфраструктури Львова та Львівщини і її значення в транспортній системі України, зокрема підкреслено центральне положення Львова як транспортно-логістичного хабу на транс'європейському магістральному шляху, що з'єднує Балтійське і Чорне моря; визначено головні транспортні маршрути Львівщини, важливі у всеукраїнському масштабі; крім головних шляхів, виділено та схарактеризовано регіональні й локальні. Характеристику транспортних маршрутів поєднано із зазначенням найбільш істотних промислових підприємств Львівщини; вказано, які туристично-рекреаційні місцевості та центри розміщувалися по трасах транспортних шляхів, а також зазначено туристичну спеціалізацію цих центрів (у підручниках з географії транспорту радянської доби таке не зазначали взагалі); застосовано такі транспортно-логістичні показники, як завантаженість шляхів, інтенсивність руху на них, а також наведено їхні історичні назви та розкрито значення в минулому. Наукові праці О. І. Степанів зберігають свою актуальність і нині. Це стосується не тільки проблем географії транспортної комунікації сучасного Львова, а й актуальних питань міжнародної логістики, зокрема участі України в системі Балто-Чорноморської транспортно-логістичної інтеграції. Науковий доробок О. І. Степанів з географії транспорту має безпосереднє значення і для сучасного проєкту ЄС у транспортно-логістичній сфері – «Ініціативи Тримор'я» (ІТМ). Нещодавній саміт ІТМ у Таллінні (19–20 жовтня 2020 р.) підкреслив вплив ІТМ на весь балтійсько-адріатично-чорноморський регіон. ІТМ відкрита для країн – стратегічних партнерів ЄС, у т. ч. для України. Хоча остання не є членом ЄС, але вона булла запрошена на перший саміт ІТМ у 2016 р., і нині, не маючи офіційного членства в Тримор'ї, є активним учасником багатьох проєктів, що реалізуються в межах цієї ініціативи. Україні варто і надалі співпрацювати з ІТМ, передусім із Польщею, у таких важливих інфраструктурних проєктах, як автомагістраль Гданськ–Одеса, залізничне сполучення в межах проєкту «Вікінг», розвиток газової інфраструктури в межах коридору «Північ–Південь» (із залученням українських підземних сховищ блакитного палива) тощо.

Peculiarities of life, military, the diplomatic activity of Doctor of Sciences in Geography, O. I. Stepaniv, as well as her scientific achievements as a Ukrainian geographer and geologist, are revealed. Olena Stepanov was the first woman in Ukraine and the world – a military officer in the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen (Ukrainski Sichovi Striltsi, USS) and the Ukrainian Galician Army (Ukrainska Halytska Armiia, UHA) during the First World War and the Ukrainian Liberation War of 1917–1921, a diplomatic official of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic and the Ukrainian People's Republic. Having a doctorate in geography and history, she made a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian geographical science, including economic and social geography, as well as transport geography and modern understanding of geologistics. The last two areas of geographical science are most fully disclosed in her work "Modern Lviv", which provides a comprehensive description of the transport infrastructure of Lviv and Lviv region and its importance in the transport system of Ukraine, in particular, emphasizes the central position of Lviv as a transport and logistics hub on the trans-European way connecting the Baltic and Black Seas; identified the main transport routes of Lviv region, important on a national scale; in addition to the main roads, regional and local ones were identified and characterized. The characteristics of transport routes were combined with the indication of the most significant industrial enterprises of Lviv region; tourist and recreational areas and centres which were located on the ways of transport routes were indicated, as well as the tourist specialization of these centres (in textbooks on the geography of transport of the Soviet era, it was not mentioned at all); such transport and logistics indicators as road congestion, traffic intensity on them were used, as well as their historical names were given and their significance in the past was revealed.
