Texte écrit en 2004, aujourd'hui largement dépassé par les événements politiques au Liban. Un post-script accompagne donc le texte. A post-script therefore acompagnies the text ; The chapter is based on the analysis of the reconstructions' projects in Beirut and their implementation between 1977 and 2004. A special attention is given to plans that were never implemented but, we contend, left imprints both at the legal level and in the memories of the various actors. The analysis of reconstructions thus must include a retrospective analysis of previous projects in order to be fully understood.
