This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the role that interpreters and translators of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge [Bamf]) played during the 2015–2016 migration crisis in Germany along with the improvements made by the German Ministry of the Interior. To this end, we first investigated all the occasions when a refugee needs interpreting and translation services. We then present the requirements to be a Bamf interpreter/translator as well as their working conditions. In addition, we offer research into all the working tools that the German Government has made available to these interpreters/translators, so they can get a comprehensive training in the profession of community interpreter, one of the most demanding branches of interpreting and translation services. After 35 years of authorised gaming in Spain, May 2011 saw the enactment of Spain's Gambling Regulation Act. In an explanatory study of the transformations focusing on the emergence of this new legislative framework, after examining the historical background of the regulation of gambling and analysing the complexity of the current scenario, the author takes the view that public policy on gambling over the years has been fearful and inadequate because while pretending to defend moral values, in reality these policies aspired to preserve the interests of revenue collection. In addition, governments have failed to foresee the impact of the Internet. The articles examines the consequences of this failure: the entry into Spain of unregulated operators, the emergence of new and strong collateral interests and unfair competition with licensed operating companies of physical gaming establishments. This has ultimately prevented the Treasury from collecting the taxes and charges that this new activity should have accrued. ; Tras 35 años de juego autorizado en España, en mayo de 2011 ha entrado en vigor la Ley de Regulación de Juego. En un estudio explicativo de las transformaciones que han abocado a la aparición de este nuevo marco legislativo, el autor, tras examinar la trayectoria histórica de la regulación del juego de azar y analizar la complejidad del escenario actual, sostiene la tesis de que las políticas públicas en la materia han sido temerosas e insuficientes porque, pretendiendo defender valores morales, en realidad aspiraban a preservar los intereses recaudatorios. Además, las administraciones públicas no han sabido prever el impacto de internet. Se analizan en este texto las consecuencias de ello: la entrada en España de operadores no controlados, la aparición de nuevos y fortísimos intereses colaterales y la competencia desleal con las empresas operadoras autorizadas para el juego presencial. Esto ha llevado, en definitiva, a que la Hacienda Pública dejara de recaudar los impuestos y tasas que esta nueva actividad debería haber devengado.
In this paper we talk about the honorific pedestals of the Provincial Priesthood from Segobriga. This is the second city of Hispania citerior with more testimonies, since only Tarraco has a greater number. We consider economic, social, political and cultural conditions of Segobriga, as well as his close relationship with Imperial power and his juridical promotion connected with emperor Augustus. Moreover, the analysis of the geographical and social origin of the set of flamines allow us to think of this priesthood as a way of social promotion and visibility in the province. ; En este artículo estudiamos los pedestales honoríficos de los flamines provinciales con origen en Segobriga, puesto que se trata de la segunda ciudad con un mayor número de personajes que alcanzaron este sacerdocio, solo por detrás de la propia capital provincial, Tarraco. La consideración de las condiciones económicas, sociales, políticas y culturales de la ciudad, así como su estrecha relación con el poder imperial y su promoción jurídica, ligada de forma directa al emperador Augusto, junto con el análisis de la tendencia en la procedencia geográfica y social del resto de flamines provinciales, nos permiten acercarnos a su consideración como una herramienta de promoción social y visibilidad en el marco provincial.

This paper offers an interpretation of the symbolic construction of the power of women in Alicante during Primo de Rivera's dictatorship. In the 1920s gender discourses were changing. The female archetype of the «angel in the house» was changed for the «new modern woman». This transformation, the regenerationist project of Primo de Rivera's government and the extension of a female type of citizenship based on the complementarity of the sexes let the women access to political power. Three women took part in Alicante's Council. Our objective is to analyze the public representation of the power of these women by means of the study of three elements: conditions of their access to political power, their work in the council and discourses that were generated around both fields. ; Este artículo realiza una interpretación de la construcción simbólica del poder de las mujeres en Alicante durante la dictadura de Primo de Rivera. En los años veinte se da un cambio en los discursos de género y se pasa del arquetipo femenino del «ángel del hogar» al de la «nueva mujer moderna». Durante el conflicto sucesorio español (1702-1715) fueron millares los soldados que se encontraron en los campos de batallas o en los sitios a plazas y fortalezas. Estos hombres vivían el desarrollo de la guerra con grandes carencias, situación que les condenaba a demandar cierta asistencia sanitaria. En este trabajo analizamos la respuesta que dio la estructura militar borbónica en el frente catalán. Básicamente, sacaremos a la luz los modelos de organización hospitalarios e intentaremos estudiar la atención que recibieron dichos militares. También abordaremos las distintas etapas de la contienda, factor absolutamente clave para conocer los procesos anteriormente mencionados. ; During the War of the Spanish Succession (1702-1715) thousands of soldiers were involved not only in the battlefields but also in the besiegements that took place in different cities and fortresses. These men lived their daily routine in the battlefield through all kinds of shortages towards their basic needs which made them demand a sanitary assistance. In this research study we will analyse how the Borbonic Military Commandment operated in the Catalan front regarding this matter. Basically, our aim is to shed a light on the hospital structure at the time and how they were organized. Also, we aim to know which kind of attention these soldiers ended up having. We will also go through the different stages of the conflict which is a key factor to get to know all the processes mentioned before.
This paper reviews the war of Tacfarinas in the North of Africa during the government of the emperor Tiberius (17-24 AC), in order to understand his causes and consequences for Roman policy. Although a lot of papers have been done about the testimony of Tacitus in Annales, new theories and methods can allow us to argue about new ideas. In addition, we consider the fact that Tacitus is the only author that pays attention to the conflict between Rome and Tacfarinas. ; Este artículo plantea una revisión historiográfica de la guerra de Tacfarinas en el norte de África durante el gobierno del emperador Tiberio (17-24 d. C.), con el objetivo de comprender sus causas y consecuencias para la política romana. A pesar de la gran cantidad de trabajos realizados en torno al testimonio de Tácito en los Annales, la aplicación de bases teóricas novedosas y la revisión de otros materiales nos permiten proponer nuevas ideas al respecto. Asimismo, reflexionamos sobre el hecho de que Tácito sea el único autor que presta atención al conflicto.
