Le carnet de recherche Hypothèses (en construction) reprend le mémoire d'HDR : https://depuislestalag11a.hypotheses.org/ ; This Habilitation to Conduct Research is divided into two main parts.L'hétérotopie du topinambour. Confidences d'un faux baby-boomer, coming from ego-history, goes back over the career of the author, a "fourth generation" sports historian, connected to a school of meaning and experience and enamelled with artistic experiences. This essay proposes to decipher the successive processes, punctuated by encounters, woven from readings and epistemological research, allowing us to characterize his place as a historian in a field that is largely constituted. In so doing, this first part, resolutely epistemological, takes an interest in subjectivity, if only to apprehend, understand and shed light on the personal involvement of researchers in theirobjects of study, the focal points they favor, or the life experiences that interfere with their way of making history.Pour une biographie que nous n'avons pas écrite, Roger Lemonnier : jardinier, militaire et prisonnier de guerre (1911-1995), is part of the biographical narrative. This unpublished work lays the foundations of a project that will go beyond the few chapters presented in this dissertation. While the biographer, grandson of the biographer, tries to keep the right distance essential to the historical process, he is at the same time confronted with incomplete primary sources: a captivity notebook, a 26-minute film documentary and some administrative documents. So, isit possible to write this biography? This is the question at the heart of the three constituent parts of this novel. Each of them is part of the overall research project. The narrative itself is only the result of a reflection on the writing of history with the intention of immersing the reader jointly in the life story and the mysteries of a historical investigation. This project, inspired by the work of François Dosse and Alain Corbin, considers, in the tradition of I. Jablonka, history as a "contemporary literature" whose mission is to share the sensible. In order to ensure the reader's immersion, the narrative summons up writing inducers to serve as a demonstration of some aspect of the biographer's life, his feelings or the emotions of a prisoner who writes to escape imprisonment but re-actualizes the social, political and professional constraints and frustrations that his body has experienced.

The constituent act of contemporary cultural history was a blurring with the epistemological and methodological presuppositions of economic and social history. The new field of historiography, breaking with 'historical tradition', was based on the new 'materialism' and the theory of representation. An alarming and alarming issue is needed: to what extent are the conceptualisations and methodologies of contemporary history only new costumes for old history commitments? Does new materialism not disguise historians' old practice of gathering 'facts'? Does the representation theory not disguise the idea of mentalities? If the answer is affirmative, a new question should be asked: Are the great struggles in history not forgotten strategies that try to erase the memory of recent historiography and its cognitive effects?

In Egypt from the end of the thirties to the post-war period, a group of young intellectuals led the collective "Art et Liberté / Al-Fann w-al-Hurryiah". From an artistic, literary and political point of view it conveyed libertarian, revolutionary and egalitarian messages that were almost unique in the Middle East. The collective was inspired by the principles of the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Révolutionnaire et Indépendant, created in 1938 by André Breton and Léon Trotski, it gathered around the French-speaking polemicist Georges Henein and the artist and theorist Ramses Younane. The group was the cultural center that led to the introduction of the surrealism in Egypt, through five art exhibitions during the Second World War, cultural magazines, also in Arabic and publishers publishing authors that at the time were little known to the general public.Through the analysis of the cultural and artistic context of the period preceding the activities of "Art and Liberty / Al-Fann w-al-Hurryiah", we retraced the circumstances of its emergence and the presence of the futuristic avant-garde and surrealists in Egypt, a territory of welcome and cultural animation which gave birth to autonomous artistic centers. The debate accompanying the nascent Egyptian art torn between calls for an ideal "Egyptianity" and a limitless admiration of everything coming from Europe is symptomatic of the recent artistic practices of the first country of Muslim tradition to have "imported" the European Beaux-Arts.It is in this context that "the surrealist group of Egypt" inscribes its manifestos and its struggles against the state monopoly of culture and art. Proclaiming the freedom of art and its rightful place in an Egypt with set and backward cultural conceptions, the manifestos, conferences, debates, editorial companies and exhibitions that the group animates are all milestones of a cultural revolution to which a part of the Egyptian youth aspires, in a period where one lives the imminent danger of the war and a great intellectual ...

In Egypt from the end of the thirties to the post-war period, a group of young intellectuals led the collective "Art et Liberté / Al-Fann w-al-Hurryiah". Proclaiming the freedom of art and its rightful place in an Egypt with set and backward cultural conceptions, the manifestos, conferences, debates, editorial companies and exhibitions that the group animates are all milestones of a cultural revolution to which a part of the Egyptian youth aspires, in a period where one lives the imminent danger of the war and a great intellectual effervescence.

Today, the demand for transparency is omnipresent. In particular, transparency is considered a prerequisite for good governance, for political participation and democracy. On closer inspection, however, transparency proves to be ambivalent. For complete transparency has not yet been achieved anywhere. Moreover, measures to increase transparency can have the opposite effect and stir up mistrust. Historians are just beginning to discover this topic. The volume assembles contributions covering European history since the 19th century. The contributors focus on political and cultural history, but include also economic and media history as well as the history of ideas. They analyse publicly debated demands and efforts for transparency, conceived as the access to information or ist disclosure.
