The purpose of this article is to research the role imagination plays in making of justice judgments. It is argued that by taking into account the activities, enabled by imagination, we are in a better position to explain the factors influencing judgments of distributive justice. The empirical research of distributive justice has shown that context is important in deciding which norm of distribution has to be applied. Still, to explain what it means to understand the context of distribution we need to study imagination. Imagination is an innate mental capacity of making the images of absent, not directly perceived images. Three activities enabled by imagination are discussed in connection with the justice judgments, namely, moral imagination, empathy & compassion. Moral imagination is understood as a capacity to perceive the situation in terms of what is morally relevant & irrelevant. It relies on the symbolic resources such as moral vocabulary & metaphor, among others. Analysis of which particular resources are employed in perceiving particular situation may shed a light on the process of justice judgment. Another activity, discussed in this paper, is empathy. Empathy is the capacity to imagine the feelings & emotions of the other, by imagining self in the situation of the other. The role of empathy is significant, as it is the main activity by which people can know at all of what the perspectives of others are, & thereby to encompass these in their own understanding of the context. The strength of empathy depends upon the similarity & blame attribution of the person with whom we empathize. These, in turn, are encoded in the signs & narratives we use to describe who the other is. Finally, some theorists argue that in order to understand judgments of distributive justice we need to take into account the play of compassion. Compassion is a disposition to seek well-being for those who suffer. Still, compassion is an ambiguous disposition, as it is very close to the aversion. The article discusses the manifestations of the ideology of political correctness in the current Lithuanian and Latvian languages. It features a more detailed analysis of the usage of words referring to persons by health, race and nationality (invalidas – neįgalusis, invalīds – nespējnieks [invalid – disabled]; negras – juodaodis, nēģeris – melnais [negro – black]; čigonas – romas, čigāns – roms [gipsy – Romany], etc.). At first glance, the intentions of the supporters of that ideology seem honorable: their substitution for ordinary words can be seen as a euphemism of a language, which is promoted by tolerance of otherness, empathy, and the pursuit of non-offending communication. However, the implementation of that ideology introduces a new language and is often accessible to extremes, absurdity. The authors of the article agree with linguists and other cultural figures who believe that imposing political correctness for a language is essentially harmful. One characteristic consequence of this interference with language is that a certain, usually negative, connotation of the word, naturally or fancifully conceived by ideology enthusiasts in English-speaking society, is transferred to other languages irrespective of their established meanings and shades. Thus, neutral words unreasonably attribute to a negative evaluation of the subject matter. Investigations of Lithuanian air balloons sporting organizations have shown the need for improved air pilot training model that meets the requirements of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) and European Union standarts and directives and the need to improve pilots (starting with students and ending with elderly people) training system and increase Lithuania ballooning Society by enlarging it's geography. The aim – to create the model of an unrestricted aerostat pilots training in Lithuania. The object - model of licensed unrestricted aerostat pilots training in Lithuania The goals: 1) Review the professional competence of specialists and licensed unrestricted aerostat pilot in theoretical aspects. 2) Create theoretical model of unrestrictedaerostat pilot's competencies. 3) To prepare research methodology for empirical investigation and create questionnairy for Lithuanian hor air balloon sport organizations. 4) Substantiate the training model of licensed unrestricted aerostat pilots. Research methods: scientific literature analysis, questionnaire survey and statistical data analysis. The work consists of three parts. First is comparative analysis of theoretical aspects about the competencies and their models published in the literature and the theoretical model of the competencies of licensed pilots of unrestricted aerostats. Contemporary world and art emphasise a high-quality result produced within a short period of time. Manual weaving (e.g. by handloom machine or on a vertical loom) is a time-consuming process which is broadly becoming an obsolete practice amongst contemporary textile artists. Although text is a popular form of art, woven text is very rare. This study intends to analyse the syncretic association between weaving and text. The following questions are raised: what are the meanings of this association and what purpose can be derived from it. Woven text, as the study object, has become an assisting instrument in the discussion of a textile artist in contemporary art. A textile artist, who decides to create art by means of weaving, finds himself standing at the crossroads of tradition and contemporary environment. The following study sources were used: interviews with Lithuanian woven text creators, as well as literature, art journalism, articles in periodic publications, and other data which allow finding new meanings of woven text. The objective of the study is to assemble the possible meanings which define the relationship between weaving and text. Meanings found in the study were the following: opposition; time, transience, longevity; escape, isolation, salvation, halt; meditation, empathy; history, tradition; tactility/touch; durability, strength, genuineness; communication, intimacy, reminiscence; sacredness, religion; politics, economics; suffering, complexity, hard work, mastery; identity; luxury. All these meanings can be taken into account when analysing the use of weaving technology in art textile. Discovery of these meanings can also help to adopt a different point of view towards woven text, understand it better, and apply its characteristics in other contexts by taking advantage of the opportunities provided by it. The periodical press by partisans, which was published during the year of the second Soviet occupation, was one of the most reliable sources of information in Lithuania. This press first appeared and was published for the longest time in the Western Lithuania's Sea region, including the areas of Mažeikiai, Telšiai, Kretinga, Tauragė, Jurbarkas, Šiauliai, Joniškis, partially Kėdainiai, Panevėžys and Raseiniai. There were around 40 different underground periodicals, 4 of them were of a cultural nature from 1944 to 1959 in the Western Lithuania. The publishers of the underground press accepted a challenge not only to convey the facts to the readers about the guerrilla war and deportations but also to reveal the morale of the time-period and to infuse empathy of the readers. A narrative in journalism enables us to discover various attitudes, values and feelings but it also raises a question with respect to the difference between factual and fictional narrative. The most complicated part of exploring the partisan press was authorship of publications and fictional literature. In early newspapers, articles and proclamations were often unsigned, whereas in later publications they were signed with pseudonyms. There are not enough information about co-workers in the underground press who did not have military positions. In the partisan press of Western Lithuania, themes of a political nature, foreign and domestic news, disclosure of crimes of occupation regime generally dominated. Partisans especially sought to cultivate patriotism, foster culture and religious life. In cultural publications, harm of anti-moral Soviet art to a human being is emphasised and the idea is developed that the purpose of art is to reflect the spirit of the time-period. It is suggested that only through creative work by partisans Lithuanians' experience during the post-war period is disclosed and significance is attached to songs and poesy as means of fostering nationality. In the analysis of particular fictional and non-fictional texts about the guerrilla war, the basic elements of a war narrative in partisan press are exhibited. In fictional narratives by Aušrė, prt. Rimas and Linksmutė, the theme of betrayal is researched in different ways and various attitudes are revealed through the change of focus. In factual narratives, the events of the guerrilla war are recorded, diversity of attitudes is restricted and the narratives are created by using the first person.

The changes in political, economic and social life, affects the changes in social work and the requirements for social workers skills. Social work organizing reveals in coordinating the actions of social support system participants and services recipients. It is very important to have practical skills, theoretical knowledge and managerial competences. The development of social work organizers managerial competences, continuous change and improvement is very important adjusting to the changing social environment. The main goal of the work is to reveal the need for development of social work organizers managerial competences in the context of the social work changes. The objectives of the research are: to describe the peculiarities of the social work organizing in Lithuania in the context of social work changing; to define the conception of the competence and it's structured and to discern the common competences of the social workers; to discuss the expression of the managerial competences in social work and possibilities of their development; to analyse the practical aspects of the social work organizers managerial competences development. Trying to reveal the need for development of social work organizers managerial competences in the context of social work changing, the qualitative research was taken. The unstructured interview was used to pick data for the research. The research was guided by the constructive point of view. The participants of the research – eight social work organizers from X municipality rural parishes. The data was analysed according the method of topics analysis. The results of the research revealed that the technical skills are the least used in social work practice. In the planning, organizing, management and control of the social work process reveals these managerial competences: knowledge about the client, help planning, strategic thinking, the generating of ideas, creative point of view, ability to define the area of interest, business ethic, oral communication, resource organization, client activation, motivation, empowerment, initiation of change, coaching, leadership, empathy, teamwork, time management, objectives achievement, strategic skills, risk assessment, decision making, responsibility for the decisions, negotiation skills, flexibility, loyalty, the ability to listen, oral communication, conflicts management, achievements, focus to the client, valuable approach. There is insufficiently developed skills coaching, empowerment, vision-making, interinstitutional teamwork, negotiation. The project for development of the managerial competences of the social work organizers in rural areas was developed according the study results.
