The conflict opposing Georgia & Russia has a direct impact in the Ukraine. But the President, the Prime Minister & the opposition leader have all chosen different sides & do not agree on what should be Ukraine's position. The President sided with Georgia while the leader of the opposition supported Russia's intervention. Those divergences show an acute internal political competition & the fundamental instability of the Ukraine's relationship with Russia. Adapted from the source document.
Relations with Russia are a strategic priority for the European Union in terms of geopolitics, economics & energy supplies. To understand their evolution, it is important to see them first through the Post Cold War paradigm & then through the new paradigm built upon the ideological confrontation of the EU's & Russia's views of Europe. The Post Cold War paradigm came to an end with the conflict in Georgia when Russia showed its willingness to change the European regional order & thus made clear how much the views of the EU & Russia have come apart. This paper analyses the United States-Russia relationship in a changing context of growing challenges that have marked the mandates of Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev. The text starts by tracing the context where Obama and Medvedev come to power, and the dwindling of tensions that were very much present in this relationship, particularly in 2007 and 2008, leading to the Georgia war and the reset policy. The reset policy allowed the revision of procedures and the consolidation of trust, though the paper argues that effective coordination of policies and practices between Russia and the United States is still far from an objective reality.

This text is the result of bibliographical research, of a philosophical nature, supported by the records of the philosophy of difference and/or multiplicity developed by French philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. Our intention is to situate how philosophy, as well as art and science, are defined by the creative power, or by the demand to create a new thought, as opposed to representational thinking and recognition. We will highlight the specificity of philosophical activity and its primary task as the creation of concepts and we will point out elements of a pedagogy of the concept. Through it and territorialization and deterritorialization movements, we carried out a thought exercise addressing issues related to the contemporary university, opposing two images of knowledge, namely, the arboreal and the rhizomatic; we also propose the concept of a smaller university as a bulwark of resistance.
Alternative means of dispute resolution are sought a long time as an access to justice more humane. Without the imposition of an intervening power, the parties have gain more autonomy in their decisions. The extension project of the Federal University of Paraíba "Citizenship in Extension: Access to Justice and Conflict Mediation", linked to the Reference Center for Human Rights (CRDH) aims to address the theme "Access to Justice", using one of the extrajudicial dispute resolution methods, namely: Mediation. The Mandacaru and Jardim Veneza's Reference Center for Citizenship in João Pessoa/PB, were the spaces chosen in the first year of the project, where residents discussed their problems in these localities, in order to build possible plans of action. The following year, the Guardian Council has become the chosen space, working directly with the Mediation. Building a sense of unity among residents of a community is one of the goals of this project with respect to collective issues. And mediation, with respect to individual issues. With the prospect of working together, this project follows its activity, achieving its main goals: empowering individuals and fostering active citizenship.
