An urgent task for each museum institution is to bring the exhibition space in line with modern challenges. Based on the conceptual schemes, the research and exposition practices produced by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, the article aims to show what should be / become an expositional model of the Ukrainian vector of the largest military conflict of the twenti eth century. The sustainable concept of the expositional model of the history of the war depends exclusively on the peculiarities of the historiographical situation, the theoretical postulates of scientists and the level of effective implementation of these works in museum practice. The modern conceptual model of Ukraine's history in the Second World War is based on a kind of "interweaving / mixing" of the components of the "old" (modified and deconstructed Soviet) and "new" (national) historiographical discourses. The answer to this should be a balanced, "comparative" approach, which should synthesize these two historiographical versions of the Ukrainian dimension of the Second World War. Creating its own theoretical vision, the Museum (after all, like any other museum institution that exhibits a particular theme of the past war) should be a combination of different elements of reproduction of narratives of different worldviews, allowing comparison of different approaches to wartime history. The expositional formation of the history of Ukraine in the Second World War should take into account first of all the anthropological and then the eventual dimensions of the war era. The exhibition space should "immerse" in the atmosphere of wartime, to transfer its internal tension and existentialism. The proposed conceptual and narrative-representational approaches to the interpretation of the Ukrainian dimension of the Second World War can serve as a convincing example and be used as an effective option for potential museum-exhibition transformations. Keywords: World War II, Ukrainian dimension of the Second World War, National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War. Memorial Complex, exposition model, conceptualization, museum narration, museum representation. Statement of the problem. Despite the attempts of historians to objectively present the events of the prehistory and history of the war, the opening of new archives and the desire to get rid of ideological stereotypes, are driving the need to once again explore the role of Ukraine in world war II to prevent its recurrence. On the other hand, the deep understanding of the history of the previous generations will provide an opportunity to properly understand the events of today. The analysis of the research. During the years of independence in the national historiography it was a new understanding of the conceptual foundations of the study of war. Over the past decade it was written a large number of scientific studies in which the main direction of new concepts there was an increased attention to the person, separate social groups and society as a whole in situations of conflict and crises. The article aims to analyze the role and place of Ukraine in the events of the Second world war; identify "Ukrainian dimension" of war and its implications for the modern generation, especially the youth.Conclusion. The effects of war for decades identified the complex and contradictory political, economic and social processes in Ukrainian society, affected the moral and psychological qualities of post-war generations. The memory of war – spiritual-historical heritage of our nation, which lays the foundations for self-sufficiency and identity and integrates it seamlessly into a civilizational flow. The modern level of researches of the events of world war II pays special attention to humanitarian problems of the war.
The article is based on the author's processing of the archives of Ukrainian emigration during his research internship in Great Britain. His task was to find out and clarify the means and ways used by the Ukrainian diaspora in its struggle against Moscow's information and propaganda offensive against the Western community's positive resolution of the "Ukrainian question" after World War II.That was the time when the Russian governmental machine intensified its counter-propaganda work in the Western direction. Under those conditions, the world continued to perceive Ukrainians as part of the "great Soviet people" who unanimously built communism, and Ukraine itself as only a formal state declaratively writing its name in UN documents as a country with a significant contribution to the victory over fascism.Under the conditions of statelessness, Ukrainian public institutions abroad replaced state embassies and official representations and took on the responsible task to constantly plant the Ukrainian information field. The Ukrainian diaspora used the following means in its struggle against Moscow's information and propaganda offensive against the Western community's positive solution of the "Ukrainian question".In particular, it was a matter of checking the presence of materials on Ukrainian studies in the main libraries of the countries where Ukrainian emigrants lived compactly. Foreign authors' interpretation of mentions was said about Ukraine and Ukrainians in those few texts was analyzed.Representatives of Ukrainian public organizations established personal contacts with directors of libraries in cities with a compact residence of Ukrainians. The goal was to create Ukrainian book and press departments there. In 1948, a centralized network was established in Munich to provide major foreign libraries with Ukrainian publications. The successful breakthrough of the Moscow information blockade on the issue of the Holodomor of 1933 happened due to publication of a series of English-language brochures on this issue at the expense of the Ukrainian Youth Association abroad.

Europe's military theorists analyzed the course and results of the war, the causes of victories and defeats. One of them was German infantry general Erich Friedrich Wilhelm Ludendorf, in the past commander-in-chief of the Western Front during the First World War.His basic theoretical views on the preparation and conduct of an aggressive war were outlined in the book "Total War", which was published in 1935. The essence of the theory was to preserve and consolidate the domination of the German people in the world solely through wars against other peoples. One of the main components of the concept of such a war is the theory of "lightning war". It is a misconception among the public that this theory was developed by Nazi Ger- many's military experts, that is, Hitler's entourage. The plan for the "lightning war" belongs to the chief of operations of the General Staff of the Prussian Army, General Field Marshal Alfred von Schliffen, which he de- veloped in 1905. To secure the military industry. That is, a country cannot wage a long and simultaneous war on two fronts against the historic allies of France and Russia, whose banking system was entirely dependent on French money. Therefore, in order to successfully wage war, it is necessary to accumulate forces and means, while simulta- neously using all their mass, to conduct a fleeting ("lightning") war, first with France, and after the victory over it – with Russia, in order to further capture the human and natural resources of these countries. The plan for the "lightning war" was first refined in 1906 by Helmut von Moltke Jr., who succeeded Schliffen, and then General E. Ludendorff, who closely linked the plan to his theory of "total war".Hitler relied on this theory. This made it possible to succeed in a lightning-fast military campaign, where the primary purpose was to put an end to the enemy's vigilance, to stun abruptness, to invade quickly and, thanks to large tank formations that would destroy the enemy's defense, to advance deep into the country, to use mercilessness and intimidation to succeed. to the population, to paralyze his will and make him capitulate. With these methods, the Nazis calculated to defeat their opponents individually, pre- venting their efforts to join forces in supporting the aggressor. German military leaders hoped to win the war mainly through tanks and aircraft. The decisive role was planned to be achieved by encircling and destroying the enemy with the help of tank ticks and wedges. The purpose of the article is to understand how the principles of tank building in NaziGermany and the USSR differed and how it affected the course of the war.The main role of the strike force in this case, was assigned to the tank group. Thus, throughout the Second World War, engineers of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union developed a "rivalry" in the design and manufacture of the best in their combat capabilities of the tank.

; The article deals with the known cases of application geographical and operative space of the Zmiinyi Island in military events of the First and Second World Wars, their interpretation and analysis is provided in the article. The major features of the island development which were inherent in that period of time and formed an appropriate use of island space are identified. Established the fact of the use of the island to make, as far as possible, the boundary detection of the enemy fleet and single vessels. In addition to this fact, the island was still an important natural landmark, which enjoyed most of the sea commanders, due to primitive navigation and communications systems of the time. Finally, it wasn't without diplomatic color which, in today's world, accompanied by any military conflict. On the base of a wide range of written sources of various origin, the course of events is reconstructed and their vision by our compatriots as well as by other rulers of the island is provided.
An epidemic of any infectious disease is an invisible ruthless enemy that cannot be defeated by military, political, economic or ideological means. Humanity always reacts to such threats quite nervously and subconsciously tries to mythologize them, at least a little, in order to somehow psychologically protect itself from the real fear of imminent death. Since there is no rational defense against such a threat, people for the most part react in an irrational manner. The 19th century, almost the same as the previous centuries, «started» in epidemiological terms almost from the very beginning of its calendar. Only in contrast to the previous 18th century, the main and dominant danger was posed by another infectious pathology — cholera. In the history of medicine, over the 19th century, as many as six outbreaks of cholera epidemics were recorded since 1817. The first of them began in East Bengal and lasted 8 years (1817—1824), gradually, covering almost all India and big regions of the Middle East. It was worsened by the traditional travels of both Hindu and Muslim pilgrims to «holy places» who spread Vibrio cholerae on foot and through active communication with local residents. One of the significant reasons why cholera epidemic continued with minimal interruptions for almost the entire nineteenth century was an insufficient level of scientific knowledge in microbiology and the resulting ignorance of the causative agent of cholera — vibrio and its properties.Another factor was a complete lack of understanding by society of the need to observe at least the simplest sanitary standards in everyday life. And there was also misunderstanding among the leadership which tried to limit the next outbreak of cholera mainly by administrative measures without adequate explanations of their essence and necessity to the population.
