This paper discusses the project Writreadings: a way of "reading--writing" amidst life, with financial support by the CAPES/INEP Education Observatory, effective from January 2011 through December 2014. Articulating basic education teachers, undergraduate and graduate students and participant researchers, it takes place at four centers in the following universities: UFRGS, UFPel, UFMT, and UNIOESTE/PR. Including research, teaching and cultural extension, worked on in the perspective of thinking the difference in education, the Project develops various Writreadings workshops, which produce reading and writing skills, in co-authorship between reader and writer. Operating with the Translation Didactics, it articulates the philosophical, scientific and artistic dimensions to perform vital trans-creation processes that are trans-disciplinary, trans-lingual and trans-cultural. Writreadings is always a political act, which does not assimilate the other to oneself, but overcomes distances and transposes foreign cultures ones to the others. By using the artistic didactics of translation and the cartographic method, what modifies the original is trans-creation, rather than copies, as a heterophilia, undoing sedentary identities. Operating under the fascination of inter-influences introduced by contemporary languages, it involves the invention of a critical-selective corpus that accurately links the concepts of poetic translation, intertextuality, and relations between different sign systems.
In this paper, I intend to show the writing process performed from a research in a primary school from an educational municipal network in the interior of São Paulo' state. To write the research I assumed the narrative from a Benjamin's perspective. In the first place, that choice shows a researcher who chooses to incorporate itself in its own discourse, and secondly, that this speech has a mark of being tied to the life and its experiences. I believe that the writing process of the research is complex and in that process other understandings can appear that were not previously observed or thought. In this sense, it is important to value the writing process of the research process in its formative dimension.
Beginning from the reading of the Foucault studies on the self care and of Deleuze and Guattari on the body without organs, we had for purpose to trace the possible approximations between the self writing and the body without organs diary. This exercise of self writing is an exercise of constitution of bodies that, besides turning back over oneself, provides a self care in order to care for the others. We conceived the body without organs diary as an ethopoietic movement towards an ethical and esthetic dimension, but also political of life.
This article presents an investigation of narratives by deaf authors intended to an audience of young people and adults, which circulate in Brazil through books written in Portuguese. Considering the study of ten books (MÜLLER, 2012) of different genres, which have in common the constitution of a biographical space, our aim is to develop a discursive and documental analysis, in order to answer how and what cultural deaf marks are produced by these authors in their narratives. The investigation of the empirical material, which deals with difficulties experienced which are also expressed in writing, allows making evident the main deaf cultural marks: the narrative of experience of the self, and deaf identity as difference. It is worth stressing that narrating in a second language, in this case, Portuguese, used by deaf users of Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS - Brazilian Sign Language), allows translating the narratives into other cultures, legitimating the deaf discourse and increasing the potential of the deaf culture through the visibility and cultural diffusion allowed by these works. The books, here understood also as cultural artifacts, are a resource in a territory of political-pedagogical claims and negotiations. In connection with Cultural Studies in Education and with Deaf Studies, the present work continues and consolidates studies in deaf culture and education; it also problematizes power relations involved in the construction of meanings, particularly in the field of education, here understood as a process of conduction of subjects' social and individual life. This investigation is part of the studies conducted within the project Produção, Circulação e Consumo da Cultura Surda Brasileira Production, Circulation, and Consumption of Brazilan Deaf Culture.
Josep Maria Puig is one of the leading international scholars in Moral Education. Throughout his academic and personal trajectory, moral education occupied a central place in his researches, reflections, concerns, teaching and way of living. His writings and investigations in Catalan, Spanish and Portuguese, converted him in one of the main theoretical references in Latin America for the studies of the human morality. Cited in more than 800 theses and articles in Brazil, his work has exerted and still exerts great influence in a whole generation of Brazilian researchers. In the interview that follows, beyond the academic trajectory of Professor Puig, we present in this text his reflections on moral education in different dimensions: theoretical, practical, political, social and personal. As it could not fail to be, in times of people talking about "no-party schools", Puig also discusses the legacy of Paulo Freire and the influence that exerted in his work. These are themes that mobilize current concerns, and it is of great relevance for the ethical and moral development of the future generations. Since Plato, death has been a recurring theme in the history of philosophy and the Hellenistic schools of thought. The "death" subject became a daily reflection particularly in Epicureanism and in Stoicism, from which not only the term meditatio mortis comes from, but an entire literature, including the writings made in the medieval times that had the final moment of life as their central point. Thus, in the 16th century, the period when Michel de Montaigne (1533-1592) lived his life, meditation on death was a rhetorical topos. Nevertheless, his Essays approach the theme of death not only from a literary standpoint, but as a daily meditation, as a spiritual exercise. In this perspective, this article suggests that Montaigne, far beyond a rhetorical approach, attempts to recover the most original meaning that the Hellenistic schools of thought gave to meditatio mortis, taking this concept as a preparation for life itself, as a constant way of observing the present, faced with an imminent scenario of various deaths, such as the Black Death epidemic and the civil war in Montaigne troubled times.
The following text is a fragment of a doctoral work and will cover a specific period of the young Nietzsche's life, when he served as a nurse-soldier in the Franco-Prussian war. It was the moment of writing his first book The birth of tragedy. The struggle for culture figured as the weapon used to prevail in favor of its elevation. It was intended that she return to the classics of Antiquity and Germany as horizons to guide a thought as an "instrument of combat". In addition to this direct experience in the war, these missives refer to art, especially the musical, which, in our understanding, figured as an educational medium. It is worth noting that several moments in Nietzsche's daily experience, his occupations, creations, fights, doubts, suffering, work; all were springs that propelled his thinking and the constitution of a personality that learned and created ways to educate himself and also generated an instrument for thinking and confronting the dominant way of life in his time.
The nineties of the nineteenth century represented an important moment for education in Mexico, driven by a group of teachers, hygienists, doctors, architects and educators who considered and promoted changes for primary education. One of these changes occurred in the field of school space, that is, in the construction of school buildings. The objective of this article is framed in a context of modernization promoted by the Porfirio Díaz government, and seeks to study the transformation that the school space underwent, focusing the analysis in the classrooms, where the child spent an important time in his life and where the ordering of children's behavior was given. The school building was conceived as a space for protection and training for the child's body, which was accompanied by furniture, school supplies and textbooks. The writing of this work has the support of sources from the Historical Archives of Mexico City, Branch, Public Instruction, School plans; Hemeroteca of the National Pedagogical University, Mexico; Digital Newspaper Library (UNAM). This month marks a milestone in my career as a freelance translator specialized in scientific and academic studies: 2 years as a collaborator and more than 24 consecutive editions being available to hundreds of authors published by REUOL, since we also have special numbers. However, instead of listing quantitative aspects, I regard as fundamental focusing, in this editorial, qualitative aspects of publishing Nursing studies. In the current Brazilian scenario, besides being autonomous with regard to the other health sciences, Nursing shows to be eclectic. Boundaries between theory and practice don't apply to the multiple approaches of caring for developed and described by the researchers, who aim to understand the social life of people while developing situated solutions to deal with their most varied health problems. In this sense, our country has proved to be a field of research second to none, an extremely rich source of original scientific formulations. Because of this, the many faces of health education stand out, since the dialogue and testimony overlap the formulation of generalist knowledge guided by "rules" and "scientific neutrality", so that the caregiver doesn't distance her/himself from the person being cared for and doesn't prevent her/himself from learning both with this person and for this person. Research involving human beings doesn't imply an alleged separation between "researcher" and "object" ‒ and the pages of REUOL are extremely representative of this ethics. Bridging language gaps from this broad perspective involves understanding that REUOL constitutes a medium for disseminating and preserving the construction of knowledge by the Nursing science not only within the reach of Ibero-American countries, but worldwide. Its target public will only grow and become more demanding with the increasing global digital inclusion. One may say that the priority of collaboration by experts in the trilingual publishing process of REUOL consists in assisting the authors to cross the finish line with a full awareness that "those who know, do; those who understand, teach". Nursing professionals are the multidisciplinary health team's members who spend more time along with the patient ‒ and the refusal to regard the know-how as an end in itself stands out in their writings. It's essential to have this idea in mind to translate them properly: more than rewritten in a foreign language, the papers should be critically read and reread. Saying "know thyself" in this context involves a number of parameters. Many of them are technical in nature, aimed at the systematization of REUOL's publishing standards, something which enables its inclusion in databases along with top-quality journals and a continued evolution of its target public, both as readers and authors. The Nursing experience has been expressed in a unique way in the democratic space constituted by this journal and, thus, more than scientific, its translation of the Brazilian Nursing has proved to be increasingly humanized. It's with a great pleasure that I wish you all good readings!
DOI:10.1590/2179-8966/2022/65135 ApresentaçãoMarço 2022 Nossas saudações a todas e todos! Boa Leitura! Equipe Direito e Práxis***EditorialMarch 2022 Our greetings to all of you! Despite the new conflict in the Ukraine, we stand firm in the hope that 2022 will be a year of changes and improvements in the world situation, and particularly in Brazil! Here we would like to announce the first issue of 2022 of the Journal Law and Praxis (v. 13)! As usual, we bring new manuscripts in all our sections: unpublished articles, dossier, reviews, and translations! The theme of Covid 19, as it could not be otherwise, is still present, with papers that analyze the pandemic in its different connections: democratic recession, digital platforms, and emergency measures. Political-legal issues and dilemmas appear in articles that analyze processes of struggles for rights and, ultimately, democracy itself. In a broader context we have a critical review of constitutionalism of 1988, already in more specific contexts the articles bring consistent studies, also of critical nature, on the issue of race, violence against women, the "right to disconnection" in the world of work, the recognition of transgender people, the parliamentary struggle for rights of the Roma. The issue of transitional justice appears in approaches within the Brazilian and Ecuadorian scenarios. Gender issues and policies are also present both in an approach from legal pluralism and decolonial thinking and in an institutional approach to the Judiciary. Finally, the issue of otherness in its political dimension and pragmatic uses. Undoubtedly, the reader will be confronted with provocative and stimulating works from different perspectives. In the first Dossier of the year 2022, carefully organized by the guest editors Carina Calabria and Flavianne Nóbrega, both from the Federal University of Pernambuco, we bring a discussion as important as it is urgent regarding the indigenous issue, whether through studies that report and denounce the disrespect and violation of rights, or through studies that seek mechanisms to guarantee the rights of these original peoples. Important connections are made not only with law, but also with anthropology, sociology, and politics. Questions of good life and of a different anthropological referential help us to think outside the parameters of colonial and Eurocentric modernity. In this same perspective follow the translation of the article "Writing Beyond Distinctions" and the review of the book Xukuru: Memories and History of the Indians of the Serra de Ororubá.As always, we warmly thank everyone who contributed to this issue of the Journal: authors, translators, and guest editors. It is from this collaborative work that our journal is made!
