; As it was in the past century, also in 21st century, the most crucial issue that the world countries put emphasize is the energy. The reason is that the technology is developing incredibly fast and as a result is making the humanity more dependent to energy. Energy is one of the most basic needs of social and economic development of the country. Particularly, the states struggle to find the energy, which has become an indispensable input for sustainable economic development by using uninterrupted, safe, clean and cheap methods and also in order to ensure the supply security, they work hard to diversify their sources. In this study security and energy issues are discussed within the scope of interdependence approach of Keohane and Nye. We concentrate on Turkey's energy relations with countries that have energy sources. It is elaborated that these countries have potential to influence and determine energy strategy of Turkey. In this study is discussed Turkey's energy dependence and national security in the context of economic relations between countries which have energy resources. It is especially focused on energy resources, diplomatic, political and socio-cultural relationship between Turkey and those countries. In the study, Turkey's energy dependency and economic relationships with the countries which have energy sources in respect of national security are reviewed. Turkey imports three out of four of its energy consuming and has the possibility of getting influenced from negative developments in energy area. In the study, an analysis focused on the subjects of Turkey's energy actor role being strengthened against these negative situations for protecting its national security and providing and strengthening interdependence with regional energy actors.

Contemporary organisations in any industry are increasingly dependent on information systems. Today most organisations are online all the time, and their internal systems are used in environments that are already or easily connected to the internet. The paper analyses cyber threats and their potential effect on the operations of different organisations with the use of scenario analysis. The scenarios are built based on a literature review. One outcome of the analysis is that to an organisation it is irrelevant where a cyber threat originates from and who it is targeted for. If the threat is specifically targeted to the organisation or if the threat is collateral in nature is not important; preparing for the threat is important in both cases. The paper discusses the pressures that the cyber threats pose to information security policies, and what the role of the information security policy could be in preparing for the threats.

The contribution of the U.S. intelligence community (IC) to counterinsurgency operations past and present has gone largely underappreciated, in part because of the pervasive secrecy surrounding most of the IC's activities. A review of two recently declassified histories of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA) involvement in Vietnam in the 1960s provides insight into the historical contributions of these agencies to counterinsurgency efforts. This analysis provides a context for understanding available evidence relating to the two agencies' contributions to current counterinsurgency operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. The review concludes with intelligence policy recommendations. Adapted from the source document.
