Scholars recognize that legitimacy is central to countries' use of drones, and political officials often characterize strikes as legitimate to sustain their use abroad. This book introduces and tests an original middle-range theory that allows scholars, policy-makers, and practitioners to understand how evolving patterns of drone warfare globally shape the public's perceptions of legitimacy that can moderate countries' drone policies and the global governance of drones. A sample study was made in 1954 of 98 Japanese who were part of the pop of 10,000 in an internment camp in which riots had occurred in 1942. Of those interviewed, 26 reported having attended one or more of the demonstrations. The size of the sample is small & the results are presented with diffidence, though it is considered that they present reasonably accurate findings in an unusually difficult area of res. The precipitate cause of the disturbances was resentment at the jailing of people accused of assaulting Japanese collaborators with the camp admin. The analysis indicates that rioters differ from nonrioters mainly in their marginality between the 2 cultures of America & Japan: though, statistically, more often native American than non-rioters, they were nevertheless more selfconsciously Japanese. Other important characteristics of rioters as compared with non-rioters were their tendency to be socially active (an aspect of their search for stronger cultural ties), their relative lack of an econ stake in society, their relative youth & their relative freedom from family ties. Compared with the non-rioters, the rioters were a restless, dissatisfied category of people, reacting more strongly to the conditions of society, to which both groups alike were subject. The analysis suggests that, though it may be supported by a majority of the society, rebellion is the work of a minority whose individual circumstances make it possible for them not to tolerate the intolerable. The purpose of the work is to establish the historical context of the formation of the concept of communication as a scientific discipline, to analyse modern theoretical approaches to the study of communication, to study the relationship between culture and communication in terms of moral and ethical norms. The research methodology is based on the use of methods of collecting and analysing information from available open sources, in particular, from reports of all-Ukrainian sociological surveys and studies of intercultural experience in the world. The conceptual methodological basis of the research is a systematic analysis of communication as an integral part of human life and culture, which is constantly evolving under the influence of changes in the modern world. The scientific novelty lies in the study of modern trends in the development of communication processes and the formation of new forms of intercultural communication. In addition, the study reveals the impact of modern technologies on communication processes and their interaction with cultural, social, and political aspects of society. This study is particularly important for the field of musical culture, as it shows the role of intercultural communication in the development of this field. Conclusions. The study found that communication as a process of information transfer is an integral part of the concept of culture. Interaction between cultural groups in the modern world depends on communication, which makes it possible to reduce the distance between cultures and increase understanding between them. Intercultural communication helps Ukrainian culture to preserve its uniqueness, as well as to develop and interact with other cultures to gain new knowledge and views, new experience, in particular in the field of music. Research in the field of intercultural communication is important for the development of social sciences, as it allows for a better understanding of the cultural and social processes that occur in different cultural communities.

Purpose
This paper aims to find out what attitudes Economics and Business students have towards sustainability and what they expect from their education in relation to the achievement of economic, social and environmental sustainability. The objective is to find out if the studies of Economics and Business favour the development of pro-sustainability attitudes, taking into account factors such as the gender of the students, the course in which they are enrolled and the economic training received before entering university.


Design/methodology/approach
A survey was designed covering ecological, social, cultural, economic and political aspects. The survey was conducted among students of the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management and the Bachelor's Degree in Economics. The authors used discriminant analysis and analysis of variance to test the research hypothesis.


Findings
Students are concerned about environmental problems and are aware of the need for action, but there is little consensus on the actions needed to overcome them. Some negationist traits are detected: those who rely more on technology give less importance to environmental problems and to the possibility of a major ecological catastrophe. Girls are more in favour of sustainability than boys, and students who have previously studied economics consider that their training has enabled them to evaluate the resources available and necessary to perform any job more than those who have not studied economics, regardless of their sex and year.


Originality/value
Many articles have focused on the importance of sustainability in higher education, but hardly any have analysed the role of economic education in achieving sustainability. Given the importance and the proven inter-relationship between economics and sustainability, with this article, the authors contribute to fill the gap in the literature. It is necessary that current students and future professionals receive adequate economic education.

The article analyzes US-UK voting cohesion in the United Nations General Assembly in 2001 – 2019 based on the annual lists of important votes drawn up by the US Department of State. Voting cohesion in the UNGA demonstrates the level of support for US policies in this representative international forum. Since most UNGA resolutions are not binding, countries have more room for maneuver compared to voting in the UN Security Council. Washington pays close attention to other countries' voting behavior in the UNGA, especially when it comes to Israel-related issues. Whereas the Anglo-American Special Relationship has been extensively studied with the focus on the military and political aspects, US-UK interaction in international organizations, especially in the UN, deserves greater attention. Both countries use their permanent membership of the Security Council to promote their interests. Nevertheless, US-UK voting cohesion in the UNGA has not attracted much attention yet, although it can help to objectively assess the interaction of these powers in the world arena. Four groups of important resolutions were identified for comparison: human rights, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, nuclear non-proliferation and international security, as well as sanctions and development. In 2001 – 2019 U.S.-UK voting cohesion on important resolutions was relatively high. Nevertheless, under Republicans George W. Bush and Donald Trump it was lower than during Barack Obama's presidency. Despite the special relationship, the UK often aligns itself with the EU countries when voting in the UNGA. We paid special attention to resolutions on which the countries diverged, although Washington did not vote in complete isolation. U.S.-UK cohesion was higher on non-proliferation and human rights. At the same time, there were differences regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and development, especially in those cases when the US and the EU disagreed. Divergences were apparent when the US was prone to act unilaterally.

Alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) offer opportunities to lower fuel costs as well as to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and, therefore, they are a feasible option for customers in the market. Due to technological advancements, decisions about suitable alternative fuel vehicles are a challenging problem for fleet operators. This paper aims to introduce a multi-attribute decision-analysis framework to rank and select the "alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs)" for a private home healthcare service provider in Chandigarh, India. The selection of AFVs can be treated as a decision-making problem, because of the presence of various qualitative and quantitative attributes. Thus, the current work introduces an integrated decision-making framework based on intuitionistic fuzzy-"method based on the removal effects of criteria (MEREC)", "ranking sum (RS)", and the "double normalization-based multi-aggregation (DNMA)" framework for assessing the AFVs. The combination of MEREC and RS is applied to assess the objective and subjective weighting values of various parameters for AFV assessment. The DNMA approach is utilized to prioritize the different AFVs over various significant parameters. According to the outcomes, the most significant parameters for AFV assessment are social benefits, fueling/charging infrastructure, and financial incentives, respectively. In this context, globally existing AFVs for the sustainable transportation sector are identified, and then prioritized against fifteen different criteria relevant to the environmental, economic, technological, social, and political aspects of sustainability. It is distinguished that electric vehicles (G2), hybrid electric vehicles (G1), and hydrogen vehicles (G3) achieve higher overall performance compared to the other technologies available in India. The assessment outcomes prove that electric vehicles can serve as a valuable alternative for decreasing carbon emissions and negative effects on the environment. This technology contributes to transportation sector development and job creation in less developed areas of the country. Moreover, a comparison with existing studies and a sensitivity investigation are conferred to reveal the robustness and stability of the developed framework.

International audience ; Regional integration (RI) is a global phenomenon that has existed for a long time, its ultimate goal is the development of member countries. Several authors have tried to precisely develop this concept but have not been able to produce a universal definition of it. Indeed, its multidimensional character can take several forms, going from a simple creation of economic links between nations and even between individual units within a national economy, to a complex social phenomenon whose economic content is closely related to the political aspect. The same observation can be made with regard to the phases that this regional integration can take, which, according to economic theory, go from a free-trade zone characterized by the abolition of customs tariffs towards mutual trade to total economic integration determined by a common economic policy. The objective of this work is to analyze the theoretical framework of the regional integration through the enumeration of this phenomenon's different types and various conceptions.
