Chinese political culture is education in the character of Chinese civilization. Education in Chinese civilization is the cultivation of those Chinese characteristics unique to Chinese political life. Chinese education is therefore cultivation in the uniqueness of Chinese culture. The unity of Chinese political culture and the education characteristic of the Chinese cultivation of political life is its character. Chinese education in political life aims at the preservation of the unity of its character throughout its life, and it achieves the preservation of this unity through an education that cultivates political change that aims to preserve its life as the highest good. Here, Williams steps outside the West itself to look at Chinese political culture. Adapted from the source document.

ALTHOUGH CULTURE IS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL CONCEPTS IN THE SOCIAL SCIENCES, THE DISCIPLINE OF POLITICAL SCIENCE WAS SLOW TO EXPLOIT IT IN SPITE OF ITS OBVIOUS RELEVANCE FOR MANY BASIC CONCERNS IN THE DISCIPLINE, SUCH AS LEGITIMACY, TRADITION, CONSTITUTIONAL NORMS, AND BASIC NATIONAL VALUES. HOWEVER, ONCE THE CONCEPT WAS ACCEPTED IN THE 1950S THERE WAS A DECADE OF INTENSE INTEREST IN CULTURAL ANALYSIS DURING WHICH LEADING FIGURES IN ALL THE SOCIAL SCIENCES ENGAGED IN BOLD THEORY-BUILDING. FOR VARIOUS REASONS INTEREST IN POLITICAL CULTURE DECLINED IN THE 1970S, BUT RECENTLY THERE HAS BEEN A REVIVAL OF WORK ON POLITICAL CULTURE. THIS ARTICLE PRESENTS A REVIEW OF THE EARLY HISTORY IN HOPES OF HELPING THE REVIVAL TO PROCEED ON A SOLID BASIS.

POLITICAL SCIENCE HAS IGNORED MANY CRITICAL ASPECTS OF THE 'LEISURE CULTURE'. TO REMEDY THIS, A NEW PERSPECTIVE IN POLITICAL STUDIES SHOULD BE DEVELOPED. THE LEISURE CULTURE HAS A POWERFUL EFFECT ON THE POLITICAL CULTURE THROUGH THE SUPPORT OFFERED FOR POLITICAL AIMS, WHILE GOVERNMENT POLICIES GREATLY AFFECT THE LEISURE CULTURE. THE MAJOR CHARACTERISTICS OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN POLITICS & CULTURE INCLUDE: (1) RECIPROCAL INTERACTION BETWEEN POLITICS & CULTURE, (2) CULTURAL POLICY, CLASS, & DISSENT, & (3) AN INTERNATIONAL CONTEXT. TO DEVELOP A POLITICAL SCIENCE THAT ENCOMPASSES BOTH POLITICS & CULTURE, THE DISCIPLINE SHOULD BE STUDIED LESS & THE CULTURE MORE. 1 FIGURE. MODIFIED AUTHOR'S SUMMARY.

Our class of models aims at explaining the dynamics of political attitude change by means of the dynamic changes in values, beliefs, norms and knowledge with which it is associated. The model constructs a political culture perspective over the relationship between macro and micro levels of a society and polity. The model defines the bonding mechanism as a basic mechanism of the political culture change by taking inspiration from the valence bonding theory in Chemistry, which has inspired the elaboration of the mechanisms and processes underlying the political culture emergence and the political culture control over the relationship between macro-level political entities and the micro-level individual agents. The model introduces operational definitions of the individual agent in political culture terms. The simulation model is used for the study of emergent political culture change phenomena based on individual interactions (emergent or upward causation) as well as the ways in which the macro entities and emergent phenomena influence in turn the behaviors of individual agents (downward causation). The model is used in the ongoing research concerning the quality of democracy and political participation of the citizens in the Eastern European societies after the Fall of Berlin Wall. It is particularly aimed at explaining the long-term effect of the communist legacy and of the communist polity concept and organization onto the political mentalities and behaviors of the citizens with respect to democratic institutions and political power. The model has major implications in political socialization, political involvement, political behavior, corruption and polity modeling.

The 'Euromaidan' protests in Ukraine (2013-2014) were motivated by people's great expectations of profound change through implementation of reforms and genuine democratization of the society. The realization of these expectations depends on many preconditions, among them the pattern of political culture, which reflects the readiness of people to contribute actively to the establishment of a new democratic regime in their country. An analysis of the political orientations of citizens over the past two decades shows that only a small part of the population can be called strong democrats, whereas the majority of the population avoids active political participation and holds a rather output-oriented position, which may facilitate the persistence of an authoritarian political regime. On the other hand, a new social movement represented by recently emerged numerous volunteer organizations and initiatives points to a substantial positive change in people's political orientations.

IT IS NOT OBVIOUS THAT CONSTITUTIONAL VARIATIONS IN TYPE OF EXECUTIVE ARE CLOSELY LINKED TO DEMOCRATIC OR AUTHORITARIAN. PRIME MINISTERS AND THEIR CABINETS ARE MORE POWERFUL (THAN PRESIDENTS AND LEGISLATURES) AND MAY PAY LESS ATTENTION TO THE IMPORTUNINGS OF SPECIFIC GROUPS WHILE THE SITUATION IS QUITE DIFFERENT IN A PRESIDENTIAL SYSTEM WHERE THE TERMS OF A PRESIDENT AND CABINET ARE NOT AFFECTED BY VOTES IN THE LEGISLATURE. THIS ARTICLE ADDRESSES THE QUESTION, WHY HAVE MOST LATIN AMERICAN POLITIES NOT FUNCTIONED LIKE THE U.S. POLITICAL SYSTEM? IT CONCLUDES THAT THE ANSWER LIES IN ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL FACTORS WHICH IT EXPLORES.

"In addition to Romania's economic backwardness, the experiences of repressive political culture have contributed to restricting society's ability to act by impairing the development of its own identity for centuries. The background to the emergence of totalitarian regimes can be derived from the context of the European modernization processes, which have gripped the whole of Europe through the industrialization and consequently secularization and rationalization process. By reproducing these processes, political situations and the experiences of Romanian society on which they are based, reveals the significance of their political culture. The aim is to put together the political culture of modern Romanian society in order to ultimately understand what the problems are for their current political consciousness. Keywords: Political Culture, Romania, Religion, Orthodox Church, Post-socialism, Modernity, Tradition, Democracy, Civil Society "
