Radicalization is a major challenge of contemporary global security. It conjures up images of violent ideologies, "homegrown" terrorists and jihad in both the academic sphere and among security and defense experts. While the first instances of religious radicalization were initially limited to second-generation Muslim immigrants, significant changes are currently impacting this phenomenon. Technology is said to amplify the dissemination of radicalism, though there remains uncertainty as to the exact weight of technology on radical behaviors. Moreover, far from being restricted to young men of Muslim heritage suffering from a feeling of social relegation, radicalism concerns a significant number of converted Muslims, women and more heterogeneous profiles (social, academic and geographic), as well as individuals that give the appearance of being fully integrated in the host society. These new and striking dynamics require innovative conceptual lenses.
Abstract: Islamist Movement in the Post-New Order Era West Sumatra. Islamist movement or radicalism emerges not only due to the literal understanding of verses of the Qur'an nor is it political, social and economic factors but it rather due to inappropriate reading of Islamic history combined with an excessive idealization of Islam in a given time. This writing tries to unveil how historical factor of local movement had contributed to the emergence of radicalism. This study uses a historical approach, by understanding the chronology and the process of the emergence of Islamic radicalism in the post-New Order West Sumatra. The writer argues that the emergence of Islamic radicalism is open even wider when it generated with the desire to repeat the period of Islamic glory without a comprehensive assessment of Islam and Muslim society. He also argues that Islamic radicalism movement in West Sumatra has a close historical bond with that of the 19th century Paderi.Kata Kunci: Islamisme, pergerakan Islam, radikal, Sumatera Barat

; The paper deals with some aspects of the activity of religiously nationalistic organisations in the political process of Russia. The study of activity of religiously nationalistic organisations allows to say that there are two trends in the contemporary right radicalism: orthodox and pagan. Inspite of the limited possibilities for the participation in the political process, religiously nationalistic radicalism is potentially dangerous for the society kind of right radical ideologies combining religious intolerance and aggressive nationalism.

Discusses cultural and economic consequences of declining birthrates, drawing on the ideas from four disparate books that together suggest a shift toward a period of substantial social change with tantalizing ideological implications. This article confirms that popular Islam is an emerging Islamic phenomenon in Indonesia. The rise of popular Islam is due to the symbolic understanding of Islam. This kind of Islam leads to formalism Islam, rather than substantial ones that lead to humanity and justice. Popular Islam has been influenced a lot because of the presence of celebrity preachers and their large-scale campaigns from social media such as Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and Whatshap. The biggest challenge of Indonesian Islam, in addition to the rise of popular Islam, is the growth of an Islamic spirit that uses identity in politics so as to arouse Islamic radicalism and extremism. Islamic radicalism-extremism is not actually a culture of Indonesian Islam, but later developed in Indonesia.

IN THIS ARTICLE, THE AUTHOR ATTEMPTS TO PROVIDE A HISTORICAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE, CHARACTER AND CONTRADICTIONS OF THE NIGERIAN LABOR MOVEMENT IN THE STRUGGLE FOR DEMOCRACY. THE ARTICLE SHOWS THE CAPACITY OF LABOR MOVEMENTS' RADICALISM TO INFLUENCE PROCESSES OF POLITICAL TRANSITION EVEN IN THE ABSENCE OF A MEANINGFUL IMPACT ON THE PART OF LABOR ORGANIZATIONS THEMSELVES. THE ARTICLE ALSO CONTENDS, HOWEVER, THAT ONLY A MULTI-FACETED ANALYSIS OF LABOR, CONCERNED WITH SHIFTING BOUNDARIES BETWEEN INSTITUTIONS AND MILITANCY, WILL PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE SPACE FOR THE STUDY OF RADICALISM AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIVE VISIONS AS COMPONENTS IN BUILDING ORGANIZED LABOR AS AN EFFECTIVE ACTOR IN DEMOCRATIZATION. THE ABSENCE OF SOCIALLY AND STRATEGICALLY DIVERSIFIED ORGANIZED LABOR IN NIGERIA TODAY IS WHAT MOSTLY MAKES THE PERPETUATION OF MILITARY POWER VIABLE.

US political behavior has revolved around radicalism, conservatism, & apathy. Post-WWII research on Ur-Ru differences reveals little support either for contemporary Ru radicalism or greater political apathy in Ru areas. However, Ru citizens, particularly farmers, exhibit more conservative political orientations than metropolitan populations. The reapportionment revolution of the 1960's has not noticeably altered social policy outputs of state legislatures or the Congress in a more liberal, Ur-oriented direction. The Electoral College currently underrepresents Ru influence in electing the president, although various alternatives tend to discriminate in reverse. Trends suggest a diminishing.
This article aims to describe the dynamics and contestation of Egyptian Islamic politics. The Islamic political movement carried out by a group of people in Egypt has changed the streets of existing democracy with the emergence of coups and assassinations that occurred in the Anwar Sadat era. It was a form of turmoil that occurred. This condition continued until the emergence of the Arab Spring in 2011. From all the dimensions that exist in Egypt, the root of all the turmoil is the unresolved religious and political problems that have made Egypt transform into a stagnant country until now. This study also shows that there is a transformation of Egyptian radicalism that has penetrated in all lines which hinders the progress of Egyptian democracy in which the mosques and campuses are used as the basis of radicalism so that they can influence the public's interest. This research is also supported by literature sources from books, journals, and comprehensive research. As for the results obtained from this article, namely the emergence of identity politics that occurred in Egypt due to the emergence of radical Islam, which had a major influence on Egyptian society, then the emergence of an authoritarian military system gave dissatisfaction to the Egyptian people in living as a state, resulting in destabilization between the democratic system and society globally
