Once considered a marginal or even irrelevant issue, in recent years, the environment has come to occupy an increasingly important place on the political, social and economic agenda. Environmental conflicts are often due to conflicting political and economic interests and can have major social repercussions. Until recently, little economic value was attached to drinking water; the same was true of arable land, energy generation and most natural resources. Pollution was regarded as a minor problem. Today, the economic and social value and costs of the environment are seen as incalculable and growing. Soil, food, water and air pollution have led to a significant increase in disease, and the cost of the ensuing environmental clean–up can be exponential. Having consolidated his power in the late 1920s, Joseph Stalin long focused on internal affairs: the Five Year Plans, collectivization of agriculture, rapid industrialization, and modernization of the Red Army. Despite his penchant for domestic policy, from the summer of 1936 Stalin's Soviet Union was increasingly drawn into foreign affairs. This article explores Stalin's foreign policy on the eve of the Second World War. The Soviet Union's multiple failures in forging an anti-Fascist alliance with Britain and France, most notably in the Spanish Civil War, will be explored as the prelude to Stalin's eventual decision, in August 1939, to authorize the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

This work raises the study of creativity and creative processes as a relevant field for the sociological Social Psychology. In this way, the main goal of this work is to consider the creativity and the creative process as social processes. Considering therefore the need to analyse them in the social-cultural-historical context in which they occur, thus opening a new scenario to think about creativity and the creative process in the present time. In this new scenario, the dominant forms of knowledge circulation based on an individualizing 'ontology of creative works' are no longer unique. And their pertinence and legitimacy can be re-raised in the present time. In this way, this work also argues that different forms of knowledge circulation mean different socio-political implications. Thus, to specify and to consider them as a choice in terms of knowledge production, allows us to problematize them from the standpoint of creator/ producer and from the creative process' standpoint.

The objective of this thesis is to explore in greater depth the process of creating a public health observatory and the processing of the information needed to take territorial decisions in the county of Alt Empordà. The outcome is the creation of Indika, the Health and Social Pole of the Alt Empordà. Indika is a public health agency that acts as the territory's health and well-being agent. The objective of Indika is to generate knowledge about the impact of social determinants of health in Alt Empordà. To do so, it uses a working framework based on three points: to inform, to discuss, and to act. This working framework served to produce the visual information solutions, including infographics, collections of indicators, and a web application whose purpose is to portray the existing problems in the territory to start debate with the different political and social agents to take decisions on improvement initiatives. Apart from creating a public health observatory, two parallel lines of action have also been developed in this thesis: the creation of public structures to store information based on events as a way of structuring medical information. These two lines of investigation have resulted in the creation of the "Indika Data Repository", an information repository about the county of Alt Empordà, using the collaborative platform GitHub and the implementation of the eventr package in R programming language, and currently published in the Comprehensive R Archive Network. Anti-fascism makes working or fighting against fscism the top priority, and two basic types of anti-fascism emerged in Europe and North America from 1936 to 1945. The first was revolutionary; the second was conservative and even counterrevolutionary. From the Munich Agreement to the fall of France, and in the face of strong isolationist opposition, US counterrevolutionary anti-fascists—who are usually labeled "interventionists" in the historiography—articulated to an increasingly sympathetic public how fascist regimes jeopardized the United States' national security and way of life.

En aquest article ubiquem la mobilització per una renda bàsica en el context de la ruptura del pacte social de postguerra, amb especial atenció a les particulars circumstàncies que defineixen aquest cicle de mobilitzacions al Regne d'Espanya. Mostrarem, en primer lloc, per què en repetides ocasions s'ha presentat la renda bàsica com a part d'un procés constituent que permeti conformar noves relacions polítiques, econòmiques i socials que afavoreixin el desplegament d'una democràcia plena en tots els àmbits de la vida social. En segon lloc, analitzarem la naturalesa dels actors que han optat per aquesta mena d'estratègies "constituents", i assenyalarem les freqüents confluències d'aquestes formes de mobilització amb el que anomenarem "estratègies de contenció i resistència". Conclourem amb un breu exercici de prospectiva social i política en què presentarem l'emergència de l'anomenat "precariat" a escala global com a factor explicatiu de la reproducció, present i futura, de formes de lluita per la renda bàsica com les analitzades. ; In this paper we locate the mobilizations for a basic income in the context of the breakdown of the post-World War II social consensus, with particular reference to the particular circumstances defining this cycle of mobilizations inSpain. We set out to show, first, why basic incomehas repeatedly presented itself as part of a constituentprocess that makes it possible to configure new political, economic and social relations that favour the deployment of full democracy in everysphere of social life. Second, we will analyse thenature of those actors who have opted for this kind of 'constituent' strategy, we will mark the frequent confluences of those forms of mobilization with what we will call 'strategies of containment and resistance'. Third, we will conclude with a brief exercise of social and political projection in which we present the global emergence of the so-called 'precariat' as a factor which explains the present and future reproduction of the forms of struggle for basic income such as those studied. ; En este artículo ubicamos la movilización por una renta básica en el contexto de la ruptura del pacto social de posguerra, con especial atención a las particulares circunstancias que definen dicho ciclo de movilizaciones en el Reino de España. Mostraremos, en primer lugar, por qué en repetidas ocasiones se ha presentado la renta básica como parte de un proceso constituyente que permita conformar nuevas relaciones políticas, económicas y sociales que favorezcan el despliegue de una democracia plena en todos los ámbitos de la vida social. En segundo lugar, analizaremos la naturaleza de los actores que han optado por este tipo de estrategias "constituyentes", y señalaremos las frecuentes confluencias de tales formas de movilización con lo que llamaremos "estrategias de contención y resistencia". Concluiremos con un breve ejercicio de prospectiva social y política en el que presentaremos la emergencia del llamado "precariado" a escala global como factor explicativo de la reproducción, presente y futura, de formas de lucha por la renta básica como las analizadas.
