"This chapter traces the development of sexology since its foundation in the second part of the 19th century through today. It also gives an overview of social scientific and historical research on sexology. It stresses the transnational character of sexology and draws on examples from multiple cultural contexts, taking into consideration various aspects of the development of sexology. Firstly, in examining the relation between sexology and the state, it asks if sexology is a tool in the hands of power to manage its subjects, or if it could serve as a space of resistance against the state. Secondly, it traces the connection between sexology and the process of constructing the other, especially the racial other in the colonial context. Thirdly, it looks at the production of sexological knowledge and points to the agency of sexological patients in this process. Next, in showing ambivalence around sexology and progress, it asks if sexology brings sexual liberation, or if it is rather a conservative force. The chapter concludes with a discussion about new developments in sexology, namely the invention of Viagra and its consequences"--

<p>本研究目的在於發展原住民少女的性別平等教育方案,以探究對提升性別平等意識及性教育生活技能的成效。採反省取向行動研究法,發展方案依據十二年國民基本教育相關性別平等教育議題的學習主題及素養,並將原文化融入KVP模式。以花蓮秀林鄉部落小學的12位四、五年級太魯閣族原少女進行混齡教學,接受共18節課、720分鐘的方案教學。研究者蒐集課室錄影、學習單、問卷及訪談等資料,使用描述性統計及質性分析。</p>
<p>研究結果為原少女學習到理解傳統織女文化對形成性/別認同的影響、青春期的性/別平等知識以及愛己尊人才是真愛。原少女對方案教學有極高的滿意度,顯示喜歡的教學介入為多元教學活動、小組討論和分享、以自我提問為基礎,教師再給予正確的性知識以及練習溝通技巧。</p>
<p> </p><p>The purpose of this study was to develop a gender equality education program for indigenous girls to explore the effectiveness of improving gender equality awareness and sex knowledge. Action study was applied in the study. Based on the learning thematic and literacy of gender equality education, the indigenous culture was integrated into the KVP model to design and implement this program. The mixedage teaching was conducted with 12 fourth- and fifth-grade girls from the Truku tribe primary school in Xiulin Township, Hualien, who received a total of 18 lessons and 720 minutes of program teaching. The data which included teaching videos, study sheets, questionnaires, and interviews, used descriptive statistics and qualitative process to analyze. The result of the study was that the indigenous girls learned to understand the influence of the weaving women culture on the formation of sex/gender identity, the knowledge of sex/gender equality during adolescence, and the love for self and respect for others are true love. The girls were extremely satisfied with this teaching program, showing that their favorable teaching interventions were multiple teaching activities, opportunities for group discussion and sharing, and the teacher’s providing sex knowledge and practicing communication skills based on their questions raised.</p>

<p>本研究目的為探討運用線上學習與反思寫作於大學生性教育的學習,對其經驗與感受。以方便取樣方式選取某科技大學101位學生為研究對象,</p>
<p>以國衛院提供之性教育影片進行線上學習,觀看後每人完成反思寫作一篇。以主題分析法進行檢視反思寫作內容。</p>
<p>多數大學生對於運用線上學習與反思寫作方式學習性教育採取正向態度,認為對於親密關係之建立有很大幫助。此外,採用線上學習方式可自由選擇較有興趣的影片,可以保有隱私,且能配合自己的作息,還能克服疫情的限制,是非常合適的安排。針對大學生學習後的經驗與感受,文本中出現五個主要的主題包括:安全性行為的重要性、對親密情感的渴求、愛也需要學習、性應該平等與互相尊重、體認與包容性/性別的多樣性。</p>
<p>線上學習輔以反思寫作方式對大學生在性教育的學習經驗與感受確實有所助益。建議線上學習影片需適時更新,並搭配最新及時事信息,以符合年輕人的想法。</p>
<p> </p><p>The purpose of this study is to explore the use of online learning and reflective writing on the study of sexuality education for college students and their corresponding learning experience and feelings.</p>
<p>A total of 101 students from one of the universities of Science and Technology in Taiwan were selected as the research subjects by convenience sampling. The sexuality education videos provided by the National Health Institute were used for online learning. Each participant completed a reflective writing after the online learning. Thematic analysis was used to examine the content and meaning of the reflective writing.</p>
<p>Most of the students showed positive attitude toward sexuality education using online learning and reflective writing methods and thought that it was very helpful to the establishment of intimate relationship. Moreover, they expressed that online learning was a very suitable arrangement because they could freely choose videos which were interesting to them, maintain privacy, follow their own time schedules, and at the same time overcome the restrictions of the pandemic of COVID-19. Regarding the students’ learning experience and feelings, five main themes emerge in this paper: the importance of safe sex, the need of intimacy, the necessity to learn love, sex equality and mutual respect, and the recognition and inclusiveness of gender diversity.</p>
<p>Online learning supplemented by reflective writing is indeed helpful to college student’s learning experience and feelings in sexuality education. It is recommended that online learning videos need to be updated in a timely manner and matched with the latest current affairs to meet the thinking of young people.</p>

<p>本文整理從1977年筆者學成返臺,到2021年之臺灣學校性教育工作,共44年,可分為四個階段。第一階段是「進入校園萌芽期」,第二階段是「組織發展推動期」,第三階段是「課程全面實施期」,以及第四階段「延伸發展精緻期」。回顧這四個階段的工作和發展,筆者心中充滿感恩,最後也為臺灣學校性教育的未來提出個人的期許。</p>
<p> </p><p>The current author reviewed the development of School Sexuality Education in Taiwan, beginning in the year 1977 when the author returned home from studying aboard till 2021 across 44 years. The school sexuality education development in Taiwan could be divided into four stages, I) Budding stage of entering into the school campuses. II) Promoting stage of organizational development, III) Full implementation stage of school sexuality education curriculum, and IV) Extended stage of quality sexuality education. The author was grateful, and some conclusions were made at the end of the article.</p>

<p>西元1994年刑法納入強制診療之規範,開始了性罪犯應該被治療的觀念。綜觀1994年至1999年我國對性侵害防治之立法,有別於其他人犯之處遇型態,建立起相當特殊之「刑前鑑定治療」、「獄中治療輔導」及「刑後社區治療輔導」制度。從把性侵害犯罪當成是一般犯罪行為,到性侵加害人須接受診療的觀念,這其中的轉變,涵蓋的思維包括:</p>
<p>一、性侵加害人可能是有心理疾病的。二、心理治療可以協助避免再犯。延續著這群人可能有著心理疾病的觀念,給予心理治療以協助這群人疾病好轉。由於觀念的改變,性侵加害人必須接受強制治療,開始引入大量的醫療資源。在司法精神醫學與心理治療工作中,治療師除了個案的內心世界,也需注意個案的外在世界,個案對他人的傷害及處於服刑狀態都是外在的現實面。心 理治療要針對個案心理真實面的想法感受進行探索,如何能協助個案更為守 法,外部現實的需求是一項困難複雜的任務,需要平衡內在要求和外在法律的 衝突,這也是司法心理治療的一項重要目標。</p>
<p> </p><p>The concept that sex offenders should be treated under criminal code was introduced in 1994 with the inclusion of mandatory medical treatment. From 1994 to 1999, our legislation on the revention and treatment of sexual assault was different from other types of offenders and established a pecial system of “pre-sentenceidentification and treatment”, “in-prison treatment and counseling” and “postsentence community treatment and counseling”. From treating sexual assault as a general criminal act to the concept that sexual assault perpetrators should receive medical treatment, the changes of ideas behind this change include: 1. Sexual assault perpetrators may be psychologically ill. 2. Psychotherapy can help avoid recidivism. Continuing the notion that this group may have a mental illness, psychotherapy should be introduced to help them mentally. As a result of this change in perception, sexual assault perpetrators are required to undergo mandatory treatment, and therefore significant of medical resources are introduced. In judicial psychiatry and psychotherapy, the therapist needs to pay attention not only to the inner world of the client, but also the outer world of the client, where their harmful actions and their sentence status are actually at, the outer reality. Psychotherapy should explore clients' true psychological feelings and houghts, and help them on how to be more lawabiding. Satisfying one’s needs in external reality is a difficult and complex task, which requires balancing the conflict between internal needs and the external law, which is also an important objective of judicial psychotherapy.</p>

<p>為因應教育部《性別平等教育季刊》中一篇對臺灣性教育課程的指教,特別撰文說明。首先從臺灣健康教育課程發展史談起,接著提到其中有關「性教育課程與研究」和九年一貫課綱「健康與體育」領域中之性教育內容,並列表比較了與UNESCO國際性教育指引中的八大面向。之後,特別將全面性教育和遭誤解之「全人的性」(Sexuality)教育再加說明,同時引UNESCO「全面的性教育的證據基礎」說明我們做法一致。最後在結論中盼望「性別平等教育」在尊重多元的價值觀下彼此溝通與了解,共同努力!促使性別平等教育和性教育相輔相成,造福青少年!</p>
<p> </p><p>The current article was written in response to an article published in 《GenderEquity Education Quarterly》, commenting on the sexuality education curriculum inTaiwan.</p>
<p>It first talked about the history of health education curriculum in basic education,the sexuality education curricular study, and the content of sexuality education in the《Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines》. Then, it explained particularly the Chinese translation of the term “sexuality education” which appears in the 12-year Basic Education Curriculum Guidelines and made comparisons between the content of “comprehensive sexuality education” (CSE) and “sexuality education” in the curriculum, based on the evidence of the CSE, noting that both were highly similar. In the end, it is hoped that people in gender equity education to respect different values and to cooperate together with sexuality education professionals to bring benefits to adolescents in our society.</p>
