This article discusses some aspects of developments in the Czech Republic during the 15 years since the downfall of the Communist regime. At the level of social structures, the dominant trend has been a rapid growth of inequality, which has blocked the development of a middle-class society. At the political level, the most salient tendency is the growth of a 'silent majority', not least due to the murky methods of privatization and the manifest corruption among the new elite. The problems of the ecological movement exemplify the difficulties faced by nascent civil societies in post-Communist conditions. Finally, the author tries to identify likely trends linked to the dynamic of globalization. Here the most serious problem is the stagnation or even decline of the employees and small entrepreneurs who were once expected to become the backbone of civil society.

Leadership has been a topic of investigation in organizational studies for many years. Several researchers have investigated the ideal leader, and even more theories and models have been built around the concepts of leadership style, behavior, personality, performance, competences, skills and so on. However, studies of how these characteristics are combined as 'personal brands', and how they are perceived by the social environment are clearly lacking. The aim of the paper is therefore to identify the dimensions of CEOs' personal brand, in other words to investigate the aspects that apply to leaders' social environment and to perceive and evaluate them. Using exploratory factor analysis on a Hungarian sample, three factors have been identified as the basis for CEOs' personal brand: competence, morality and humanity.

This article examines the problem of investment activity of the population. For the Russian Federation, in contrast to foreign countries, this problem is acquiring a character of particular relevance. Households as macroeconomic agents are little involved in the country's economy and their potential is practically not used for economic growth. Meanwhile, this kind of investment ultimately contributes to the positive dynamics of the development of society. The purpose of the study is to identify and substantiate the inhibiting factors in the development of investment activity of the population in modern Russia, as well as to develop appropriate recommendations for activating this process. The author presents possible instruments for transforming the financial resources of economic entities, including households, into investments. Also, key directions for increasing the investment activity of the population in the stock market have been developed and proposed. The research methodology consisted of the use of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis of information, economic analysis, the method of abstract logical cognition, which allows, through retrospective analysis, to generalize the theoretical aspects of investment behavior and financial literacy. The work uses the scientific results of Russian scientists posted in electronic scientific resources with open access.

The objective of the present research was to identify the solid waste management procedures and general aspects of basic sanitation in the rural area of Patos-PB. It is a case study, with a qualitative research, because it intended, through the application of a questionnaire with structured and semi-structured questions to the target audience, to identify the socio-environmental and economic aspects and the dynamics of waste handling and sanitation. The study was developed on the territorial scale of the municipality. After analyzing the data, it was found that the disposal procedure for dry waste used in most rural households in the municipality is burning. It can be seen that this practice is rooted in habits and customs acquired over time, due to the lack of collection by the public service, leaving the generator responsible for the destination. Among these residues that are burned are those that are subject to reverse logistics such as pesticide packaging. There are also no adequate conditions for the treatment and disposal of domestic sewage. The general conditions of basic sanitation are still problematic and seem to be far from being solved.

School libraries are the backbones of the mother body, which is a school. They are also regarded as the hub in which a wide range of library collections are made available in order to meet the information needs of learners, students and teachers. There are more challenges that are associated with libraries in South Africa. The research method employed to collect data concerning school libraries in South Africa, their challenges, and the current status of school libraries in South Africa, is a literature review along with narrative and integrative approach. Considerable literature exists on various aspects of a school library and the challenges faced by them in South African schools. The aim of this conceptual article is to highlight the school libraries in South Africa as well as the current status of school libraries in South Africa. Based on the literature review, this study brings to light the different aspects of the school libraries. The study recommends that a school library should be a place that is conducive to learning. The library should also provide both teachers and learners with a location that encourages individual study, group cooperation and a big group exhibition.

This article assesses how the concept of territoriality can expand our understanding of the relationship between space and political mobilization. While the spatial aspects of social movement mobilization have received increased attention over the last decade, the specifically territorial aspects of mobilization remain undertheorized. This article elaborates on Sack's (1986) characterization of territoriality as a means to exert power by delimiting area. We analyze territoriality's role in the civil rights campaign in Northern Ireland through the late 1960s. The empirical analysis indicates that significant campaign power was rooted in the territorial boundaries and contexts that were deployed in the course of mobilization. Our intent in introducing the concept of territoriality is threefold: first, to help explain how mobilization is interwoven, through agency, with local context; second, to emphasize the utility of spatial concepts in the social movement literature; and third, to broaden the comparative range of case studies in the field of collective action by considering societies where boundaries are actively contested (weakly "naturalized"). We conclude with a discussion of how the concept of territoriality enhances a new reading of our empirical case and an analysis of the study's theoretical implications for our understanding of the relationship between mobilization and boundaries.
