This paper analyzes the influences of generational differences in organizational leaders (founders) on work meaningfulness dynamics in the high-tech sector. Based on a novel interpretative phenomenological analysis of five Finnish case firms, we found that generational differences between leaders concerning work meaningfulness visibly existed. The differences manifested themselves in the form of different views concerning material well-being, house ownership, freedom, teamwork, and the general approach to working life (being a co-owner and being an employee). At the same time, we found that issues like job security, temporary contracts, part-time work, and gig working needed to be seen more in-depth instead of assuming their generic negative influence on well-being and work meaningfulness. Finally, the findings reveal that change is the name of the game for many millennial and post-millennial high-tech workers, and they may not necessarily associate these aspects negatively with work meaningfulness

Welfare recipients are continuously subjected to media debates and governmental campaigns drawing on images and symbols encouraging improved work ethic and individual responsibility. Only few studies, however, have analysed how welfare recipients as 'othered' citizens react to these often stereotypical symbols and images targeting them. In this study we have investigated how welfare recipients in Norway and Denmark, and caseworkers in Denmark, understand and account for images which, through the use of stereotypes, directly or indirectly may question welfare recipients' work ethic and deservedness. Analysing photo-elicitation interview data, we have uncovered a variety of reactions characterized by 'problematization'. The interviewees problematize the image and depicted stereotypes, which they link both with motif and symbols and with surrounding public debates on the work ethic and deservedness of welfare recipients. Furthermore, as photo-elicitation is a rarely used tool in welfare research, we address methodological aspects of using photo-elicitation in a study of 'othered' welfare recipients.

Las formas de la protesta social en España, entendidas como prácticas de participación política, contienen elementos que remiten a la recuperación y la práctica por parte de la ciudadanía de lo que consideran como verdadera democracia. En un contexto de crisis económica y social, frente a la ausencia de soberanía de unos gobiernos sometidos que prefieren rescatar a los bancos antes que a la ciudadanía, la sociedad española intenta rescatar la democracia. En España, tras caer desde las cotas más altas del consumo al enorme socavón de desempleo y pobreza, y tras los sucesos del 15M y el movimiento asociado surgido a la sazón, se puede observar cómo la protesta social ha pasado de la reivindicación de una democracia real como objeto difuso y multidimensional a la reivindicación de recuperación de las facetas concretas del estado de bienestar (principal logro de la democracia representativa liberal) que han sido canceladas por las políticas económicas de austeridad. El análisis de las formas de protesta (movilizaciones, manifiestos) nos lleva al encuentro con dos tipos de participación política: a) un tipo de participación política que supone una continuación 15M (con un mayor peso del componente expresivo, emocional de la acción política) que tiene como marco de producción de discursos y prácticas la idea de transformación social hacia otro modelo productivo y medioambiental, de representación política, de cambio cultural; y b) un tipo de participación política (con un mayor peso del componente racional, cognitivo) que tiene como marco de producción de discursos y prácticas la resistencia (retorno, adaptación), frente a la mutación del Estado. Como ejemplos del primer modelo tendríamos las convocatorias de «rodea el congreso», «marchas de la dignidad» y «escraches»; como ejemplos del segundo se identifican las «mareas ciudadanas». Entre medias se pueden encontrar las plataformas de ayuda a las víctimas de la crisis (PAH).___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ABSTRACT: The forms of social protest in Spain, understood as practices of political participation, contain elements referring to recovery and practice by the citizens of what they see as «true democracy». In a context of economic and social crisis, facing the absence of sovereignty of subjected governments that prefer rescue banks than citizens; Spanish society tries to rescue democracy. In Spain, after falling from the highest levels of consumption to huge sinkhole of unemployment and poverty; and after the events of 15M and the associated movement that emerged at the time, it can be seen how social protest has passed from the claim for real democracy as diffuse and multidimensional object, to the vindication of recovery of specific aspects of the welfare state (main achievement of liberal representative democracy) that have been canceled by the economic policies of austerity. The analysis of the forms of political protest (demonstrations, manifestos) leads us to encounter two types of political participation: a) a type of political participation which is a continuation of 15M (with a greater weight expressive and emotionally of political action) and has as a frame of speech production and practices the idea of social transformation to another productive and environmental model of political representation, cultural change; and b) a type of political participation, weighing more rational, cognitive component, and has as a frame of discourse production and practices, resistance (return adaptation) to the mutation of the state. Examples of the first model would have the calls of «surrounding the congress», «dignity marches» and «escraches»; as examples of the second «citizen's tides» are identified. If this newspaper is known to be the famous "voice of the film professionals", it has also played an effective role of institutional relay for the French Government, during complex affairs requiring a public tribune for the justification of the political action by French authorities. Le Film français plays a foreground social role during more than a decade end enlight great debates and evolutions of post-War French cinema. Basé sur le traitement de ce corpus, cet article revient sur cette fonction méconnue que tient le Film français en tant que courroie de transmission, en s'intéressant, notamment, à l'évolution de sa ligne éditoriale et à la sémantique employée par cette revue pour aborder les questions touchant au CNC et, plus largement, à la politique du cinéma français entre 1945 et 1958.

El propósito en este artículo es exponer una propuesta teórico-metodológica para el estudio de los conflictos ambientales y mostrar de qué manera es posible estudiar sus efectos más duraderos, aspecto que denominamos productividad social. El abordaje metodológico ha sido organizado en torno a dos estudios de caso: el "conflicto por las plantas de celulosa en el río Uruguay" y el "conflicto por la recomposición ambiental de la cuenca Matanza-Riachuelo", seleccionados por ser disputas resonantes en el debate público ambiental en Argentina. El texto plantea preguntas y aporta reflexiones para una discusión sobre los efectos de los conflictos ambientales, las respuestas estatales y los debates sobre alternativas al desarrollo. ; The purpose of this work is to present a theoretical-methodological approach to the study of environmental conflicts and to show a possible way to study their longerlasting effects, an aspect we call social productivity. The methodological approach has been organized around two case studies: the "conflict over the pulp mills on the Uruguay River" and the "conflict for the environmental restoration of the Matanza-Riachuelo basin." These cases were selected for being outstanding disputes in Argentina's public environmental debate. This article substantiates the need for unification of the state financial control system, where unification according to the author is the standardization of the principles and mechanisms of state financial control, which is applicable for any state, regardless of its historical and cultural development. The basic structural elements of the state financial control system were determined to achieve the aim of the research. It was determined that internal audit is important not only for the public sector, as an instrument of control over the use, formation and saving of public finances, but also for the private sector of the economy. In foreign practice, the information base of internal audit is used in risk management to reduce company risks and increase financial stability. The results of the study is the author's suggestion of the unification of the system of subjects of the state financial control based on the type of control they perform. The proposed system is based on the classification of foreign systems of the state financial control, which has developed historically, and international ISSAI standards. The proposed system considers not only the economic aspect of the institution of the state financial control, but also social and global. Based on the social aspect, the importance of public financial control was proved, because in democratic countries, formed social institutions have an important role in the socio-economic processes of the state. In the system formulated by the author, the significance of creating an appropriate supreme body of the financial control, its impact on the lives of citizens, and the importance of cooperation of subjects of the state financial control with public financial control was substantiated. Thus only with this cooperation is it possible to form an effective unified system of the state financial control, which will provide the socio-economic development of the country. According to a global point of view, the need to improve the importance of the international financial control institution INTOSAI, and the formation of a supranational type of control, which should be included in the state financial control system of each country was substantiated. ; В рамках данной статьи обоснована необходимость унификации системы государствен­ного финансового контроля, где унификация, по авторскому видению, ‒ это стандартизация принципов и механизмов государственного финансового контроля, что является приемле­мым для любого государства независимо от его историко-культурного развития. Для дости­жения поставленных целей и задач исследования были установлены основные структурные элементы системы государственного финансового контроля, их виды и взаимосвязи. Было установлено, что внутренний аудит является важным не только для государственного секто­ра, в качестве инструмента контроля над использованием, формированием и сбережением публичных финансов, но и для частного сектора экономики. В зарубежной практике инфор­мационная база внутреннего аудита используется в риск-менеджменте для снижения рисков предприятия и повышение финансовой стабильности. Результатом исследования является сформированое авторское видение унификации системы субъектов государственного фи­нансового контроля на основе осуществляемого ими вида контроля. Предложенная система основывается на проведенной классификации зарубежных систем государственного финан­сового контроля, что сложились исторически, и международных стандартах ISSAI. Предло­женная система учитывает не только экономический аспект института государственного финансового контроля, но также социальный и глобальный аспекты. Основываясь на соци­альном аспекте, была доказана важность общественного финансового контроля, потому что в демократических странах важную роль в социально-экономических процессах государства имеют сформированные социальные институты. В сформулированной автором системе обос­нована значимость создания надлежащего высшего органа финансового контроля, его влия­ние на жизнь граждан, и значимость сотрудничества субъектов государственного финансо­вого контроля с общественным финансовым контролем. Только благодаря этому сотрудниче­ству возможно сформировать эффективную унифицированную систему государственного фінансового контроля, что будет обеспечивать социально-экономическое развитие страны. Была обоснована необходимость повышения значения международного института финансо­вого контроля INTOSAI, исходя из глобальной точки зрения, и формирование им наднацио­нального вида контроля, который должен быть включен в систему государственного финан­сового контроля каждой страны. ; В межах цієї статті обґрунтовано необхідність уніфікації системи державного фінансово­го контролю, де уніфікація, за авторським баченням, – це стандартизація принципів та ме­ханізмів державного фінансового контролю, що є прийнятними до будь-якої держави неза­лежно від її історико-культурного розвитку. Для досягнення поставленої мети і завдань дослі­дження було встановлено основні структурні елементі системи державного фінансового кон­тролю, їх види та взаємозв'язки. Було встановлено, що внутрішній аудит є важливим не лише для державного сектору, у якості інструменту контролю над використанням, формуванням та заощадженням публічних фінансів, а й для приватного сектору економіки. У закордонній практиці інформаційна база внутрішнього аудиту використовується у ризик-менеджменту для зниження ризиків підприємства та підвищення фінансової стабільності. Результатом дос­лідження є сформоване авторське бачення уніфікації системи суб'єктів державного фінансо­вого контролю на основі здійснюваного ними виду контролю. Запропонована система ґрун­тується на проведеній класифікації зарубіжних систем державного фінансового контролю, що склалися історично, та міжнародних стандартів ISSAI. Запропонована система враховує не лише економічний аспект інституту державного фінансового контролю, а й також соці­альний та глобальний аспекти. Базуючись на соціальному аспекті було доведено важливість громадського фінансового контролю, тому що у демократичних країнах важливу роль у соці­ально-економічних процесах держави мають утворені соціальні інститути. У сформульованій автором системі обґрунтована значимість створення належного вищого органа фінансового контролю, його вплив на життя громадян та значимість співробітництва суб'єктів державно­го фінансового контролю з громадським фінансовим контролем. Лише завдяки цьому співро­бітництву можливо сформувати ефективну уніфіковану систему державного фінансового контролю, що буде забезпечувати соціально-економічний розвиток країни. Було обґрунтовано необхідність підвищення значення міжнародного інституту фінансового контролю INTOSAI, виходячи з глобальної точки зору, та формування ним наднаціонального виду контролю, що має бути включений у систему державного фінансового контролю кожної країни.

The youngest survivors of Nazi persecution had experienced a variety of tragic fates: children lived through the horrors of the concentration camps, endured forced labor, and even kidnapping for the so-called Germanization agenda of the Nazis. From 1945 onwards, the military and relief agencies in occupied Germany witnessed the aftereffects of hitherto unparalleled crimes against children. They devised strategies aimed at their care, repatriation, and resettlement. As this article will show, it was by no means always possible to carry out this task successfully. Policies created at the administrative level frequently clashed with the reality of everyday relief work. This article reflects on the current state of historical research regarding displaced children, and in particular the potential of microhistory as a means of improving our knowledge about this aspect of the postwar period. By drawing upon the example of the IRO Children's Village in Bad Aibling, Upper Bavaria, the discrepancy between official policy and the actual struggle in the field - including ideological factors, practical challenges, and the human element - is illustrated. In doing so, the aim is to help refine previous narratives regarding the care for displaced children in the postwar period.

The article explores the potential of the concepts of governance and scaling for the analysis of the spatial dimensions of 20th century political struggles. Selected questions from three strands of cross-disciplinary research - scales of political agency as discussed by critical geographers, patterns of Multilevel Governance (MLG) as analysed by political scientists, and conflicts in various political regimes of the 20th century as studied be historians - are addressed. The article starts by briefly examining some core concepts in these three fields and discusses some recent trends in debates on spatial theory as discussed by the historical disciplines. The following sections of the article address scalar strategies and governance in the authoritarian states of National Socialism and the socialist system of the GDR, governance problems of federalism in Western countries, key aspects of the "age of planning" in the middle of the 20th century and problems of global environmental governance. Finally, questions of knowledge formation in the field of European integration are discussed. In the conclusion some main results of the Forum are highlighted and an agenda for further historical research on problems of governance and scaling is given.
