Spain and the Soviet Union during the final stage of the Cold War ; España y la Unión Soviética a finales de la Guerra Fría
This article analyses Spanish-Soviet relationships from 1977, when Spain's diplomatic relations with the USSR resumed, until the end of the Cold War. On the one hand, the reestablishment of diplomatic relations expanded the framework of bilateral agreements signed in different areas by both countries. On the other hand, Spain's joining NATO for good a few years later had a negative impact in the Soviet Union. The Soviet propaganda duly echoed this from a political perspective. Gorbachev's undertaking the General Secretariat of the CPSU in 1985, brought about important changes in the USSR with the implementation of Perestroika and a new foreign policy, novoe myslenie. The latter became the protagonist in Spain of the propaganda displayed by Spanish-Soviet friendship associations existing since 1979. These is due to the fact that they served as a showcase for the Soviet vision of international politics. Scientific and Technological Development in the Soviet Union (1917-1991): A Synopsis ; El desarrollo científico y tecnológico en la Unión Soviética (1917-1991): Una sinopsis
Throughout its existence, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) experienced a series of political, economic and social transformations that converted the former Tsarist Russian Empire of agricultural economic base, into a superpower characterized by its progressive industrial development. In this process, which ranged from the triumph of the Russian Revolution (1917) to the dissolution of the Soviet Union (1991), scientific and technological development was fundamental due to the support that the Soviet State provided to science and technology in the construction of a socialist economic model, a process that experienced its contradictions under Stalinism and that received a significant stimulus with the development of the arms race and space exploration during the Cold War. The changes experienced by the Soviet Union in the 1980s were also reflected in its techno-scientific development.

The objective of the research was to study Russian State and Orthodox church relations in the context of world war II and the early post-war years. The line of this article is due to the important role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the history, modern political and cultural life of Russia. In this sense, the period of State-Church relations in the USSR during world war II, known in Russia as a great patriotic war, is of great scientific interest because it was the time when the government was forced to make adjustments to its religion policy. Methodologically based on a wide range of documentary sources, the authors of the article have identified the place and role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the foreign policy of the USSR during the approach. In this sense, it is felt that the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in building relations with the allies of the anti-Hitler coalition and its place in the expansion of the Soviet political system in Eastern Europe was of paramount importance as a foreign policy factor.

In the course of the last two decades of the twentieth century the Soviet Union went through great changes in its political structure, but, above all, economic changes. The set of economic reforms that began to be implemented in 1985 completely altered the thinking of the Russians and, in addition, had a great impact on the way in which the economy was taught in the universities of this nation. This research work aims to show the changes in thinking about the profession of the economist in the Soviet Union and what the changes were in the programmatic contents of Russian universities due to Perestroika and the fracture of the Union. It also aims to show the impact of the two processes mentioned earlier in the history of Russia's most influential economics faculty: the one of Moscow State University. La mujer rusa en el imaginario de los Amigos y Enemigos de la Unión Soviética (1905-1945) ; The Russian Woman in the imaginary of the Friends and Enemies of the Soviet Union (1905-1945)
; In this article, we review the current knowledge on the role of Russian women in the Revolution of 1917 and the propaganda that circulated in Spain about their situation in the Communist State. This is supplemented by an exploration of how Francoist supporters, the dictatorship and especially the Feminine Section of the Phalange took it upon themselves to insult these "denatured mothers" behind the iron curtain, caricaturing them, at least until the end of the Second World War, as an Anti-Spain and No-Woman representation.

The terrorism as a "counterpower" against the United States after the disappearance of the Soviet Union
La Unión Soviética y Afganistán: una aproximación desde la teoría del caos ; The Soviet Union and Afghanistan: an approach from the Chaos Theory ; A União Soviética e o Afeganistão: uma abordagem a partir da Teoria do Caos
; The events that occur today in Afghanistan are not the result of chance or destiny, but of multiple confrontations, wars and crises in which the country has been involved over the years, which is why, through a review Historical documentary and in line with chaos theory, this paper aims to explain the social and political effects that were generated in Afghanistan from the Russian intervention in the framework of the Cold War and that continue to this day. A theoretical approach to the roman of totalitarianism in the Soviet Union during the stalinism and the Khrushchev's thaw ; Aproximación teórica a la novela del totalitarismo en la Unión Soviética durante el estalinismo y el deshielo de Jruschov
This article presents a useful theoretical approach to define and explain a novelistic typology –so far no determined as a corpus– whose thematic and poetic core focuses on the political, sociological and psychological aspects of the Soviet Union and, more specifically, in the periods governed by Iósif Stalin and Nikita Khrushchev, considering both stages as consecutive moments of the same totalitarian system. Here, we proposed how the works belonging to this novelistic typology –which we'll call the Roman of Totalitarianism– uses the resource of a political conscience that allows its enunciation from a need to denounce the forms of totalitarian oppression, in order to materialize in a text whose form and meaning synthesize the various aspects of such oppression.
