; This article is the result of an exercise of problematization about secondary education in today's context, considering the massification of this education level and how it is often seen by young students as an education that lacks meaning. We build on empirical research on the subject, as well as on a few important works that focus on the crisis of authority and how it extends onto the school and teachers, with the resulting generational tension. Then, we reflect on the different meanings school has been associated with due to the social, cultural and political changes that have been occurring. We consider school's massification process and students' frequent perception of a lack of meaning in school as one of the questions that can explain the tension in the school environment. With regard to the outcomes of this situation, we point that in spite of the universalization of access to education, the expansion of education offer, the increase in the schooling period, and the progressive loss of authority by teachers combined with tensioned generational issues in school, we find reasons to believe we are at the verge of building new meanings for both school and secondary education. We view this crisis situation as an activator of other, new school configurations pervaded with value for both teachers and young students.
As a fundamental value of the activity, journalistic objectivity has already been conceptually investigated by several academic studies whose results, although published in books and magazines in the area, did not change the way information consumers, journalists and even journalism teachers philosophically understand objectivity and, consequently, its application in the routines and procedures of journalistic practice. This article aims to carry out the bibliographic review of two important works by Brazilian authors that investigated the notion of objectivity. We will discuss Luiz Amaral's work "The Objectivity of Journalism" and Wilson Gomes's work "Journalism, Facts and Interests", inventing his ways of understanding and discussing this fundamental notion of the activity philosophically.
This article presents the experience inter/transdisciplinary of a team teachers developed collectively by the fourth year of Pedagogy course, of the State University of Goiás, Campus Inhumas, developed in academic year of 2014. The Sustainable Cities and Sustainable Schools Project was organized in the context of work project (HERNÁNDEZ, 1998), interdisciplinary organization (JAPIASSU, 2003) and transdisciplinarity look (NICOLESCU, 1999; Moraes, 2008; Suanno, 2013, 2014) for complex thinking about sustainable cities (UN Habitat, 2014 ; Letter of Medellin, 2014; Sustainable Cities/MEC Program, 2014; Sustainable Schools/MEC Program, 2013; Metropolis Observatory, 2014), taking an ecosystem reflection, complex and phenomenological.
This article broaches administrative practices and office routines amidst Public Education Reform started in 1911 in the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. For this purpose, a series of documents consisting of office letters sent, in 1917, by two teachers to the Director of Education, Horácio Nunes Pires. All the letters analyzed contain requests for the provision of physical structures to the schools were such teachers worked. It is interesting to observe how their demands were set up and how they were combined into the operations (Certeau, 1985). In order to understand the practices in view, the categories of strategies and tactics were utilized (Certeau, 2009). These categories are used to understand the maneuvering of the individuals. This allows to look at their efforts in relation with their functional and political procedures. The goal is to pinpoint the actions of specific individuals placed in the heart of public education bureaucracy in the State of Santa Catarina. Such bureaucracy is understood as breeding ground in organizing practices and maneuvers led by different persons. The assumption is that both teachers produce operations from their individual standpoint in the bureaucratic machinery of the education system. The conclusion is that educational bureaucracy is a field of dispute constrained by several operations, within which the operations of different individuals are made visible.

This article aims to show the pedagogical potential of the use of 'marginal poetry' in Sociology classes. The urban chronicler Miró da Muribeca was chosen to support this work. His poetry, considered by critics as 'marginal poetry', approaches sociological themes and concepts in addition to everyday experiences common to students' habitus. The use of this type of poetry in the classes of Sociology functioned as a didactic tool that enabled the students to hatch from a greater taste by the classes associated to a greater understanding of the contents approached through the partnership between the school and the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarships (PIBID) of CAPES/CNPq. It is possible to develop in this specific case, these activities and bring the teachers in formation from day to day of the school, allowing a connection between the University and school.
This paper reports on an ethnographic multiple case study in Greece. It explores teachers' practices regarding the education of critically thinking citizens ten years into the implementation of an integrated curriculum reform. By means of classroom observations and semi-structured interviews this research explored the role of critical thinking in the classrooms. Findings suggest that teachers refrain from practices that advance critical thinking skills and pupils' empowerment. Instead they tend to implement traditional practices, while their work is largely determined by the standards of achievement set by University Entrance Exams and parents' aspirations. The paper concludes that prevailing expectations in the Greek primary school interfere with the development of pedagogical relationships that would promote critical thinking obstructing the attainment of the aims of the integrated curriculum reform and compromising the project for democratic citizenship.
Background: The prevalence of motor delays (MD) in schoolchildren is an intercultural phenomenon which is particularly present among socio-economically disadvantaged children. Objective: to describe and explain the proximal processes for the development of fundamental motor skills (FMS) in schoolchildren from an elementary school (ES) in a coastal city in the Northeast of Brazil. the objective of this study was to describe and explain the proximal processes for the development of fundamental motor skills (FMS) in schoolchildren from an elementary school (ES) in a coastal city in the Northeast of Brazil. Methods: This was a quali-quantitative study. The quantitative aspect was characterized by the use of the Test of Gross Motor Development Edition 2 to evaluate the fundamental motor skills of 104 children from 7 to 10 years old, 56 boys (8.2±1.0 years) and 48 girls (8.3 ± 0.9 years). Regarding the qualitative aspect, the researcher ecologically placed himself in the context and used non-systematic and non-participant observations and interviews with 7 parents, representing the parents-board of the school, 7 Physical Education teachers and 11 classroom teachers from different schools. Data analysis: the qualitative data were organized using the content analysis synthesis. The quantitative data were treated using descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, distribution and frequencies) and inferential statistics (Student t-test). Results: The results revealed that 95.1% of children present MD in locomotor skills and 81.7% in object control skills; girls showed poorer performance compared to boys (p < 0.001). Considering the Bioecological model the MD can be explained by the absence of physical infrastructures and material resources, lack of opportunities and poor teacher training. However, the main explanation was the absence of a pedagogical program to foster MP in schools and youth sports programs. Yet, the Bioecological model allowed us to establish that the MP interferes the way that children interact with the context. Conclusions: It can be inferred that part of the solution to the problem lies in the coordination of exosystem actions (Municipal Department of Education) and in changes to the macrosystem (educational legislation) which guarantee the microsystems (schools and social sports projects) the means to promote MP in children.
This essay aims at tracing some of the paths taken by the elementary education teacher training programs offered by the State University of Bahia (Brazil). From the 1990s onwards, this university offered tree major programs: the Intensive Graduation Program (UNEB Network, 2000) and the State Teachers Training Program (PROESP), and since 2010, the National Training Plan for Elementary Education Teachers, also named Paulo Freire platform (PARFOR). Analyzing more in deep this last program, the article is an attempt to describe the strategies of resistance enacted by work groups that show how creative outputs may result from the own difficulties and shortcomings. In this line, tensions and incompleteness may be understood as opportunities for transformation and evolution regarding both actor's practices and political decision-making. The text explores the idea that policies were, in a way, forced to change in order to respond to the demands and realities of the populations and institutions involved.

To carry out this study a structured questionnaire was appliedto students with sickle cell diseaseand their mothers, teachers, engineers and managers of two public schools in the city of Monte do Carmo -TO. The results evidencedstudents' difficulties with the disease inschool environment, the perceptionof mothers in relation to the limitedpedagogical monitoring of their children from teaching units and the lack of knowledge from education professionals about the subject. Therefore, studentswith sickle cell diseasecan't enjoy a satisfactory learning, as they don't receive proper monitoringin their cognitive, personal and schoolneeds, which signals the need ofcontinuous guidancefor education professionals, focused on this subject.
This research on post-doctoral training is themed actions and transdisciplinary teaching strategies that are developed in the College Logosophical of Goiânia. From the moment that this school does not have the basic presupposition of the theory of transdisciplinarity, it is interesting to research by the fact that the actions and used teaching strategies, based on the Logosophical Pedagogy, based on Logosophy recommended by the Argentine philosopher Carlos Eduardo González Pecotche are compatible with this theory, expressed in the actions of teachers and the school management, and strategic shares present in the planning done together and on a daily basis with students. The theoretical contribution is based on Moraes (1997, 2004, 2008), Pecotche (2008), Ausubel (1982); Morin (2007a), MVRSuanno (2013, 2014), & Violant tower (2006a) and JHSuanno (2013, 2014). The goal is to identify the pedagogical actions and transdisciplinary attitudes built by Logosophical College faculty in Goiânia that contribute to the development of students as individuals with human, social and environmental responsibility. This goal stems from the need to know the disciplinary pedagogical actions developed in the College Logosophical of Goiânia.
