The study catches a glimpse of the different faces of "communist death", imagined as "assumed death", "egalitarian death", or exemplary (i.e., heroic) death. In fact, this was really the death of individuality. The goal of this study was achieved through transdisciplinary methodologies, which involve the specific tools of social investigation, interconnected disciplines (see political history, political, cultural and funerary anthropology, social psychology, art and architecture history), through convergent usage of historical sources specific to recent history (official documents, newspapers of the Stalinist period, memory literature, ethnographic sources, funerary inscriptions, interviews). The aim is to present the operations involved in the ideologization of death, a process demanded by "the hunger for legitimacy" of the communist system.
The paper presents the theories of 195 great specialists in the field of organizations, the selection being made according to several criteria: originality of ideas and style, academic recognition and applicability. They are sociologists, psychologists, economists, management experts, engineers, philosophers, political scientists, historians, journalists, lawyers, but all have enjoyed a professional fame that has crossed the borders of their country. Their multiple specializations have enriched the field of organizations, and the dynamic, high, engaging style has made them enter global university circuits. Managers understood thanks to them that for the development of their institutions they have to work closely with specialists to increase their visibility, to impose a good strategy and for the well-being of themselves, employees and society.

A common argument for the nomination of the Romanian city of Sibiu as European Capital of Culture 2007 by the European Commission is the actual local multiculturalism, which makes the city seem somehow different when regarding the more general ethnic background in Romania. The aim of this article is therefore to map the local multiculturalism and identify its limits. The conclusion is that the local context is multicultural in fact, yet some ethnic tensions are to be taken into account. These tensions are rather symbolic and still weak, and are related to the way one might conceive local public space. The findings not only confirm the initial supposition, but they could become a starting point for a future comparative analysis of ethnic contexts in Romania.
