La principal tesis planteada aquí es que el uso que se hace de la razón en el proyecto civilizatorio de la ilustración permite instalar nuevos modos de producción de la verdad que serán propios de la modernidad en tanto supuesta superación de un pensamiento premoderno. La crítica de la razón y los cuestionamientos fundamentales al proyecto civilizatorio y la matriz colonial propios de la ilustración y la modernidad, son la mejor evidencia de su vaciamiento, todo lo cual se expresará en el pensamiento posmoderno, poscolonial y decolonial. ¿De qué modo esto supone un retorno a ciertas matrices consideradas premodernas? El trabajo tiene cuatro apartados. El primero trata sobre los fundamentos de la ilustración, entendida esta como una superación de la minoría de edad a través de la razón. El segundo apartado analiza la dialéctica de la ilustración como marco para la superación de la razón. El tercero intenta explicar cómo podemos entender la dialéctica de la ilustración en tanto fundamentos de la posmodernidad, del mismo modo como la ilustración operó como fundamento de la modernidad. Finalmente, en el cuarto apartado se desarrolla la distinción entre sacrificio y martirio, a propósito de los movimientos de resistencia popular recientes, que ubican a la posmodernidad en un proceso de retorno a una matriz que en otro momento se consideró premoderna. En este sentido, premodernidad y posmodernidad no son más que un oxímoron de la modernidad.

El artículo ha sido elaborado en el marco de la conmemoración de los 50 años de Para leer al Pato Donald (1971) de modo que no pretende evitar el tono de reconocimiento a una obra que marcó el rumbo del campo de la comunicación en América Latina. El objetivo principal es reconocer el rol histórico de la obra, así como su estatus en el campo. Desde este lugar, se examina el rol del/la intelectual, evitando caer en el falso dilema de «lo científico y lo académico» versus «lo político y lo ideológico», para lo cual se retoma una controversia generada tras la publicación de esta obra, a inicios de los años setenta. ; The article has been prepared in the framework of the commemoration of the 50 years of Para leer al Pato Donald (1971), so it does not pretend to avoid the tone of recognition of a work that will mark the course of the field of communication in Latin America. La crisis sanitaria global generada por el Covid-19, no sólo ha tenido repercusiones en la salud de la población, porque tiene evidentes implicancias económicas, políticas, sociales y culturales. Lo anterior, nos lleva a reflexionar sobre los modelos económicos y políticos y el modo de gobernar, y a interrogar cómo estos explican la forma en que ha sido enfrentada esta pandemia. En este mismo sentido, interesa abordar cómo en estos modelos y en este modo de gobernar se incrementa la marginalización y la exclusión de las diversidades.

The foregoing leads us to reflect on the economic and political models and the way of governing, and to question how they explain the way in which this pandemic has been faced. In this same sense, it is interesting to address how in these models and in this way of governing the marginalization and exclusion of diversities increases.

Este trabajo examinará el origen y evolución de los términos "cholo" y "criollo", así como la verbalización de ambos, "acholar(se)" y "acriollar(se)", recogidos por primera vez en el Diccionario de Peruanismos de Juan de Arona de 1883. Observaremos cuál ha sido la evolución de dichos vocablos desde su surgimiento en el marco de la fuerte estructura colonial que heredó la república criolla del XIX, hasta mediados del siglo XX, cuando una serie de cambios sociopolíticos produjeron una progresiva deconstrucción de dicho pensamiento conservador en la sociedad peruana. En tal sentido, no sólo apelaremos a una historia de la lengua en tanto rastreo etimológico de las palabras señalas, sino también a una crítica culturalista postcolonial que atenta a las transformaciones de la sociedad peruana contemporánea. ; This paper will examine the origin and evolution of the terms "cholo" and "criollo," as well as their verbalization into "acholar(se)" and "acriollar(se)," first included in the Dictionario de Peruanismos [Dictionary of Peruvian Idioms] of Juan de Arona in 1883. We will observe the evolution of both words from their emergence in the context of the strong colonial structure inherited by the XIXth-Century Creole Republic until the mid-twentieth century, when several socio-political changes led to a progressive deconstruction of that conservative thought in Peruvian society. In this regard, not only will we appeal to a history of the language as etymological tracing of such words, but also to a culturalist post-colonial review concerned about the transformations of contemporary Peruvian society. ; Cette recherche examine l'origine et l'évolution des termes "cholo" et "criollo"1, ainsi que leur verbalisation, "acholar(se)" y "acriollar(se)", attestés pour la première fois dans le Diccionario de Peruanismos (Dictionnaire de Péruvianismes) de Juan de Arona, 1883. Nous suivrons l'évolution de ces mots, de leur apparition dans le cadre de la forte structure coloniale hérité par la République « criolla » du XIXe siècle, jusqu'à la moitié du XXe siècle, quand une série de changements sociopolitiques ont produit une déconstruction progressive de cette pensée conservatrice dans la société péruvienne. En ce sens, nous ferons appel non seulement à une histoire de la langue en tant que suivi étymologique de ces mots, mais aussi à une critique culturaliste postcoloniale qui prête attention aux transformations de la société péruvienne contemporaine.

Publicada en la década del ochenta, la novela breve Montacerdos de Cronwell Jara (Piura, 1949) narra –a través de la voz infantil de su protagonista, Maruja– el fallido intento de adaptación de una familia migrante a un barrio periférico de la ciudad de Lima, Perú. Historia de miseria, relato de violencia y carencia, Montacerdos es también un texto abundante en la grotesca sobredimensión de la voz testimonial. Como observaremos en este trabajo, el testimonio de la protagonista, la representación del enllagado Yococo y la narrativa de su fracaso comunitario, deben leerse como una denuncia de las ineficiencias del proyecto moderno de la nación peruana. ; Published in the eighties, the nouvelle Montacerdos by Cromwell Jara (Piura, 1949) narrates –through the childish voice of its protagonist, Maruja– the failed adaptation of a migrant family that tries to settle in a peripheral neighborhood of Lima, Peru. History of poverty, story of violence and lack, Montacerdos is also an abundant text focused in a grotesque hyperbole of the testimonial voice. As we will see in this paper, the testimony of the protagonist, the representation of Yococo and the narrative of their community failure, denounces the inefficiencies of the modern project of Peruvian nation.

This book addresses new conceptual bases for thinking critically about communication as a necessary way in which to confront power, property and the market as part of the daily resistance of Latin American subaltern cultures. The chapters research an urgent field of situated knowledge and spark a much-needed dialogue. The editors view emancipatory communication experiences as disruptive acts of resistance, prompted mainly by social movements. These experiences have opened up political modes of communication by establishing a decolonising axis in the field of communication and reconstructing the history and memory of Latin America. The present article proposes to advance in the configuration of a new Latin American Communicology from the survey of the critical theory of social mediation, the encounter with the emancipatory and antagonistic academic culture of the Latin American School of Communication (ELACOM) and the fundamentals offered by the Decolonial Giro to rethink the Political Economy of Knowledge. The bet on the decoloniality of knowledge-informative power poses the challenge of reformulating the bases of the dominant paradigm of communicational science by means of a "dialogue of knowledge" with the cultural and epistemic matrices that today emerge from the Amerindian paradigm. ; El presente artículo propone avanzar en la configuración de una nueva Comunicología Latinoamericana a partir del relevamiento de la teoría crítica de la mediación social, el encuentro con la cultura académica emancipadora y antagonista de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Comunicación (ELACOM) y los fundamentos que ofrece el Giro Decolonial para repensar la Economía Política del Conocimiento. La apuesta por la decolonialidad del saber-poder informativo plantea el reto de reformular las bases del paradigma dominante de la ciencia comunicacional por medio de un "diálogo de saberes" con las matrices culturales y epistémicas que hoy emergen desde el paradigma amerindio.

Visible light communications (VLC) have been proposed for several applications beyond the traditional indoor scenarios, from vehicular to underwater communications. The common element in all these applications is the use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in which the forward current that flows through each LED plays a major role. Therefore, knowing the electrical equivalent of the LEDs is a useful tool for the proper design of the VLC systems. Currently, some measurement instruments exist, such as the LCR (inductance, capacitance, and resistance) meters or impedance analyzers to characterize the main parameters of the LEDs. However, these instruments and measurement procedures are subject to satisfying some requirements, such as a minimum value of the input impedance or the maximum forward current. In this work, the LED LXHL-BW02 is used to obtain its equivalent circuit, using different measurement methods and traditional methods of measurement with our proposed method. The equivalent model is implemented on the simulation tool LTSPICE. Violence against women is considered a public health problem that affects women worldwide. Recently, the Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization declared its serious socioeconomic impact in the Region of the Americas and committed to undertaking actions in the health services to address this problem. Within that framework, this paper describes the steps of a participatory action research (PAR) approach that is being implemented in the Wenteche Territory of the La Araucanía region of Chile, which aims to strengthen community bonds, rekindle opportunities for dialogue with and among the people of the territory, foster social participation and democracy in the generation of pertinent, participatory knowledge regarding this problem, and obtain information to support design of an intervention model adapted to local characteristics.
