Mostraremos los cambios con respecto a la legislación del conjunto de bienes de la mitra que quedan al morir los Obispos, llamados expolios. Estas variaciones no ocurren aisladamente en el campo legislativo, sino que son el resultado de una serie de fricciones en el terreno político, económico y religioso. Estudiaremos la legislación y varios sucesos ocurridos durante el período colonial en los cuales se toman determinaciones con respecto al destino de los expolios. La conclusión relata un pleito entre el Consejo de India y las Autoridades Reales y Eclesiásticas de la Provincia de Venezuela en el cual los familiares del Obispo no reciben los bienes que este les lega. ; Variations based on the legislation of the despoilments. (Centuries XVI to XVIII). We will show the changes regarding the legislation of goods of the mitre that are left once the bishops die, which are called despoilments. Variations do not occur in isolation in the legislative field, but are the results of significant frictions in political, economical and religious matters. We will study the legislation and several events that took place during the colonial period in which resolutions regarding the despoilments were taken.
