The Nuremberg Chronicle presents human history in six ages from the creation to the reign of Maximilian, Holy Roman Emperor, 1493. A seventh age is based on the Revelation story of St. John. Folio CXV, verso shows St. Lucius and his queen in the upper left of the page. Historians, theologians and philosophers line the left and right margins of the page (Pompeius Trogus, Theodosius, Appolonius, Dionisius, Bishop of Corinth, Clemens, and Tertullian).
