Indonesia has been well known for it's beautiful batik. In fact UNESCO has been awarded batik Indonesia as a masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage of humanity. UNESCO insisted that Indonesia must preserve its heritage. Batik has been part of creative economy in Indonesia. Jawa Timur province had many batik industrial center spreaded in several city, such as Madura, Sidoarjo, Tuban, Tulungagung, etc. Batik, especially hand drawn batik company in Indonesia usually run by entrepreneur of small company. The success of financial performance in hand drawn batik industry was supposedly the result of entrepreneurship of batik company owner / manager, and good operational performance in their internal business process. This study focused on the mediating effect of operational performance on the relationship of entrepreneurship toward financial performance in batik hand drawn industry in East Java Province in Indonesia. This study used quantitative approach. The sample of this study was 111 small business batik company, and analyzed using Warp PLS. Result of the study showed that operational performance mediated the relatioship between entrepreneurship and financial performance. The result of this study contributed input to the policy maker in East Java Province government abot developing sustainable and successful batik industry to boost creative economic activity in East Java Province. This study also gave a contribution in management accounting area especialy about factor that giving impact to financial performance in batik industry.
SME has a very important role to boost economic growth in Indonesia. The Indonesian government through the enterprises owned by government (BUMN) create a partnership program to support SME growth through capital assistance and also training regularly. However, the growth of SME is not optimal yet. One importance factor that determines the success of SME is the role of leadership, such as framing the challenge, absorbing uncertainty, building commitment, specifying limit and path clearing, such roles are importance factors in determining successful of the business and also support the sustainable value creation of business. This research using quantitative approach, include 119 SMEs owner as research sample. Data analyses by Partial Least Square (PLS). Result of the research, indicate that four components of entrepreneurial leadership, framing the challenge, absorbing uncertainty, building commitment and specifying limit, have a significantly influencing sustainable value creation, and one component call path clearing, indicate insignificant in affecting value creation. The result of this research realize that its very importance for the owner and also a manager of the SME have a good entrepreneurial leadership, specially framing the challenge, absorbing uncertainty, building commitment, specifying limit and path clearing components as a role to increase the success of the business through value creation as well.

This condition is represented by disparity between potential and actual collection. In Islam, the objective of zakatis not only to collect wealth and keep it idle, instead zakat should become a source of productive fund to fulfill societal needs. Some countries with advanced zakat institutions have developed zakatto become a pillar of economic development. Today, each zakat institution is competing against each other to innovate in zakat fund management. Empowerment in zakat institutions with the appropriate strategies will enhance zakat management and distribution for the betterment of zakat recipients (mustahiq) and the Muslim society at large. Design/Methodology/Approach: This research is aimed to analyze optimization of management in regional zakat institution with SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) analysis approach with IFE-EFE Matrix. Descriptive qualitative analysis is used to explain optimization of fund in zakat institution. Major Findings: Findings of this research shows that zakat institution should improve their strategy by developing strength and turning threat into opportunities. Originality/Value: The study provides a guideline for regional zakat institution on how they can enhance their role and efficiency to boost the economic growth for the Islamic community in Indonesia. It may also be instrumental for the government to improve in efficiency and innovative manpower, considerable research and development in optimizing Islamic Gift Economy to enhance economic growth of the Islamic community of Indonesia.

since 2007 ASEAN has moved towards an ASEAN Economic community(AEC) as an economi integration of member states based on four economic pillars. One of AEC economic pillar the single market and Production base, means,the region as a whole must become a single market and production base to produce and commercialize good and services anywhere in ASEAN. The establishment of AEC is offering opprtunities in the from of a huge market of US$ 2.6 Trillion and over 622 million people. Of this number, around 40 per cent or 245 million people live in Indonesia. Numerous officials and othes have their doubts and worried that Indonesia will mainly be the market for the AEC and Indonesia's progress in developing its human capital will be negatively impected compettition from other ASEAN nations. The crucial futher step of the AEC is to implement the free movement of skilled labors as one of five core principles of single market and production base pillar, as it will boost economic integration in the region levels. This research aims to analyze the City Branding model "Pemalang pusere Jawa" in Pemalang Regency, which focuses on the strategy of the Government to develop a new brand of Pemalang. "Pemalang pusere Jawa" has shown an impact on increasing tourism in Pemalang, Central Java, Indonesia. The Government supports the success of the City Branding program, and the people involved in the program, stakeholders, and culture, to boost tourism, which will have an impact on the economic sector and increase tourism significantly. Data were analyzed using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) approach in qualitative research that defines and explains distribution characteristics. The data were collected through interviews with six key informants who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Document studies were also conducted to support data analysis. This research uses the NVivo 12 Plus application to analyze data consisting of Concept Maps, Group Analysis, and Cluster Analysis. There are three points found in this study, consisting of 1) Program; the program is based on Pemalang Regent Regulation Number 27/2017 Article 7 concerning Utilization and Implementation of the City Branding Logo. The branding "Pemalang pusere Jawa" was launched in 2016 and the Visit Pemalang application is used to assist tourists in exploring tourism in Pemalang or known as a tour guide application. A Visit Pemalang application makes users easier to find tourism sites in Pemalang Regency by displaying the distance from the users' location to the destination. 2) Partnership; this program is supported by infrastructure stakeholders consisting of the Planalogy Team, the Architect Team, and the Economic Development Expert Team. Program implementation involves the Government and the Community. 3) Culture; various annual events are held as an effort to preserve culture in Pemalang such as "Festival Wong Gunung" and other annual events. Community involvement in the implementation of City Branding is one of the success factors of the program. ; Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model City Branding "Pemalang pusere Jawa" di Kabupaten Pemalang yang menitikberatkan pada strategi Pemerintah dalam mengembangkan brand baru Pemalang. "Pemalang pusere Jawa" berdampak pada peningkatan pariwisata di Pemalang, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Pemerintah mendukung keberhasilan program City Branding, serta masyarakat yang terlibat dalam program tersebut, stakeholders, dan budaya, untuk menggalakkan pariwisata yang berdampak pada sektor ekonomi dan peningkatan pariwisata secara signifikan. Ada tiga poin yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu 1) Program; Program tersebut didasarkan pada Peraturan Bupati Pemalang Nomor 27 Tahun 2017 Pasal 7 tentang Pemanfaatan dan Penerapan Logo City Branding. Branding "Pemalang pusere Jawa" diluncurkan pada tahun 2016 dan aplikasi Visit Pemalang digunakan untuk membantu wisatawan dalam menjelajahi pariwisata di Pemalang atau yang dikenal dengan aplikasi pemandu wisata. Aplikasi Visit Pemalang memudahkan pengguna dalam mencari lokasi wisata di Kabupaten Pemalang dengan menampilkan jarak dari lokasi pengguna ke tujuan. 2) Kemitraan; Program ini didukung oleh stakeholders infrastruktur yang terdiri dari Tim Planologi, Tim Arsitek, dan Tim Ahli Pembangunan Ekonomi. Pelaksanaan program melibatkan Pemerintah dan Masyarakat. 3) Budaya; Berbagai acara tahunan digelar sebagai salah satu upaya pelestarian budaya di Pemalang seperti "Festival Wong Gunung" dan acara tahunan lainnya. Keterlibatan masyarakat dalam penerapan City Branding merupakan salah satu faktor keberhasilan program.
