Environmental catastrophe
In: Current controversies
"Unlike natural disasters, which happen because of the earth's natural geological processes, environmental catastrophes are devastating events that occur due to humanity's impact on the environment. These can include nuclear bombings, oil spills, and more recently the extreme weather events brought about by climate change. Wildfires, heat waves, flooding, droughts, and numerous other catastrophic scenarios manifest as a result. With the global impact of environmental catastrophes becoming increasingly pronounced, scientists and politicians alike question what the best course of action may be to slow or even reverse the devastation"--
Biopolitique des catastrophes
In: Multitudes, Band n o 24, Heft 1, S. 107-117
ISSN: 1777-5841

Sublime catastrophe
In: Esprit, Band Janvier-Février, Heft 1, S. 192-202

Abstract
This essay argues that black feminist poethics uncovers a deep philosophical problem between pure form and pure matter. Mathematics is the site of such contention, and the decision to retain form or destroy form presents ontological and epistemological complexities for a philosophy of mathematics in Black studies. Ultimately, this essay offers mathematical nihilism as the only hope for blacks in an antiblack world.

Catastrophe in Darfur
In: Review of African political economy, Band 31, Heft 99, S. 160-161
ISSN: 0305-6244
An insurgency war against Khartoum's abusive governance in Darfur Province (far western Sudan) began in Feb 2003. The war had been long simmering because of the many & serious grievances held by the people of Darfur, especially the Africa tribal groups (most notably the Fur, Zaghawa, & Massaleit). The change in governance system for Darfur, effected by the National Islamic Front when it came to power by military coup in 1989, had exacerbated the sense of marginalization long felt by the people Darfur. Lack of political power & a fair share of the national resources, a common theme throughout Sudan, have defined Darfur's fate for decades. Adapted from the source document.
