; Abstract: The Clan del Golfo –or Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia, as this criminal structure calls itself - is the largest criminal gang in Colombia and is, in a post-conflict moment, one of the greatest threats to security in our country. On February 27, 2016, before an armed strike, the clan launched an Internet portal, similar to one that had already had but was removed from the network. Did this, in its own words, "to spread the true image of our Organization, which has been distorted by the official Colombian State, who, with a cover and a sword, pretend to ignore our realities, with an insistence worthy of a better cause". Since then, and always through this portal, the Clan has published from statements to videos. In this paper, the discourse of the Clan del Golfo is analyzed, taking as an example the work of the Argentine sociologist Eliseo Verón, above all, the analytical scheme he used in his book Perón y Muerte, written with Silvia Sigal, and starting from the hypothesis that the objective of the Clan del Golfo is to construct an alternative discursivity to the hegemonic one: the one of the traditional media and the State. All this with the intention to present itself as a political actor and, in turn, as a forced interlocutor in the middle of a peace process between the government and the Colombian guerrillas. ; Maestría
