Schools should be active partners in the process of building entrepreneurship as well as fostering entrepreneurs, new heroes for the future! The role of the educational leader is important to reflect on this aspect of the major changes. Can the leader turn apparent problems into challenges, and challenges into creative opportunities? This paper is a presentation of results from research based on interviews with school leaders who have also been students at courses in pedagogical entrepreneurship. The course has been designed with a special purpose in mind: the implementation of entrepreneurial measures at the student's own school in order to help promote entrepreneurship at the school. The importance of the ability to exercise entrepreneurial activity in society is that it forms the basis of achieving economic growth and social security. This well-documented principle applies both to industrialised countries and to countries that are undergoing intensive development. Within the commercial sector it is not unusual even today to see entrepreneurship defined narrowly in terms of establishing companies. But research also demonstrates important links between education, creative business development and production quality. When it can be documented that entrepreneurial training yield an increase in entrepreneurs who can produce qualitatively better results, this will naturally be an important justification for new investment. This paper is also based on a concentrated survey of literature in addition to an empirical study. So – our research question is: What kind of leadership needs an entrepreneurial school? Entrepreneurship is on the agenda in various contexts within the Norwegian society. However this is not typical for Norway, but because of a lack of an entrepreneurial culture, and the importance to have a leading edge in this development, a goal must be to strengthen the competitive ability in schools through emphasising entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is a mindset as well as a force behind developing activities in schools and society. In Norway curriculum for entrepreneurship has been a growing field of interest among politicians, in universities, colleges, and in public school. To start a discussion on entrepreneurship in schools, it should be useful to look at definitions of entrepreneurial education. How is entrepreneurship education defined, and what are the critical components of entrepreneurial training in different contexts? Entrepreneurship education needs to be defined more broadly than business management in that it includes fostering creativity and innovation, traits not normally nurtured in a standard business environment.

Starting new businesses is important for the social and economic development of each country (Esfandiar et al., 2019; Fayolle & Liñán, 2014). However, research on starting a business has so far been more about clarifying the influence of factors on the intention of starting a business (Duong, 2022; Ghosh, 2022; Loan et al., 2021; Vasilev, 2022; Vuong et al., 2020), and there have not been many studies on entrepreneurial success—the determinant of the meaning of starting a business (Wang et al., 2023; Welsh et al., 2023). Entrepreneurial success is defined as a complex phenomenon, and it covers both financial and non-financial criteria (Glosenberg et al., 2022). Initially, entrepreneurial success is often equated to financial/economic indicators (Staniewski & Awruk, 2019). For example, it includes business efficiency, growth rate, profitability, liquidity, market share (Glosenberg et al., 2022), and staff growth rate (Welsh et al., 2023). Meanwhile, it is criticized that, if "entrepreneurial success" is measured only by financial (or economic) indicators, it is difficult to fully reflect the meaning of this term and it should not be limited in one way (Cumming et al., 2022). Entrepreneurial success does not necessarily equate to wealth, and researchers are very interested in entrepreneurs' work-life balance (Yu et al., 2022).

AbstractUniversities are increasingly challenged to become more socially and economically relevant institutions. While this phenomenon has prompted a growing literature documenting the evolution of the contemporary university, it remains at once both too broadly conceptualized and overly fragmented. Thus, while these literatures continue to grow, they remain largely undertheorized. This paper employs the concept of "entrepreneurial architecture" as a more nuanced perspective to understand this new mission of contemporary universities. This newly emphasized mission has been politically driven through public policy and funding. While providing a theoretical contribution to the study of the entrepreneurial university/university entrepreneurship, the paper also has broader implications for institutions and policymakers as a pragmatic approach. Although researchers have identified corruption as a factor capable of affecting the entrepreneurial ecosystem at the national level of analysis, scholars have reported conflicting results regarding the exact nature of the relationship between corruption and entrepreneurial intentions. This paper formulates some propositions about the complex relationship between corruption and entrepreneurship at different levels of analysis and it suggests and explores the socio-cultural consequences of such domains&rsquo ; interactions. Finally, the slippery-slope effect will be discussed as an intra-individual psychological mechanism that could explain why even morally-engaged people might replicate corrupt behaviors. The limitations of this work, and its implications for future researchers and for government policies will be analyzed.

In this paper we study the labour market behavior of employed individuals that have entrepreneurial aspirations in addition to aspirations to switch job, using the Finnish Quality of Work Life Survey from the year 1997. We analyze empirically these two search processes and, inspired by Lazear's (2002) recent jack-of-all-trades hypothesis, focus specifically on the effects of varied experience on them. We report three main findings. First, entrepreneurial aspirations on-the-job are not uncommon. Second, employed people with varied experience are more likely to have entrepreneurial aspirations than others. This finding supports the jack-of-all-trades hypothesis of entrepreneurship. Finally, we propose that the hypothesis is not unique to entrepreneurship, as labour market opportunities available to people with varied experience are likely to be richer than to others. The data support this idea, as the jacks-of-all-trades search on-thejob for a new job more frequently than others. Tutkimme näitä kahta "etsintäprosessia" empiirisesti ja keskitymme Lazearin (2002) "jack-of-all-trades" -hypoteesin (eli "joka-alan-asiantuntija" -hypoteesin) innoittamana erityisesti siihen, kuinka monipuolinen kokemus vaikuttaa etsintään. Raportoimme kolme päätulosta. (i) Työssäkäyvien halukkuus ryhtyä yrittäjäksi ei ole harvinaista. (ii) Monipuolinen kokemus lisää yrittäjyyshalukkuutta, kuten "jack-of-all-trades" hypoteesi ennustaa. The aim of this paper is to identify the presence of various entrepreneurial traits present among the college students. This research will also relate the entrepreneurial self traits to their career intentions. Another aim is to find out if there exists any gender difference in entrepreneurial trait and entrepreneurial intention. Design/methodology/approach – A quantitative approach is being used. The data has been collected by administering a questionnaire including personal demographics and questions on Entrepreneurial self-efficacy, career choice, and intentions. Purposive sampling has been done. Findings – There exist no gender differences in Entrepreneurial self-efficacy and career intentions among the accounting major students. The first choice of the students after completion of their study is to go for Government jobs, the second choice is private jobs, and the third choice is starting up their own business. Research limitations/implications – This research is limited to the Omani Accounting Undergraduate students only. Future researches can include students from all branches, i.e., management, marketing, economics, etc. It can also be extended to inter-discipline like- Pharmacy, Nursing, Engineering, and Arts & Science and across various countries. Originality/value –This research is first of its kind as it focuses on the accounting major students. Due to Omanisation, many accounting jobs are reserved for native Omanis" only. In such circumstances, this research helps to understand the student's career intention and preference of career.
