Peace Education Does Matter! Zwischenergebnisse eines Forschungsvorhabens zur Friedenspadagogik in Konfliktgebieten

The objective of peace education in conflict areas is building up peace competencies among members of conflicting parties. These competencies include at least skills for conflict transformation without the use of armed forces. The different types of measures realized in peace education projects are presented. An ongoing field research project provides an insight into an experimental versus control group design on peace education projects in seven Countries (Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Israel/Palestine, Northern Ireland, Sri Lanka, Sudan).
