This paper examines the reading of Hans Jonas about the impact of new technologies on human and extra-humanlife. He highlights, in particular, that new technologies have assumed an excessive power to the man, who bringsboth good and disastrous consequences, which may even lead to the extinction of the present and future life. He confirms that this significant increase in technical knowledge. Unfortunately, that was not proportional to the increase of human wisdom. So, our intention is to present, according to the understanding of Hans Jonas, the proposed review of the prevailing ethical levels along the western philosophical tradition; elucidating the main features of modern technology; presenting the shortcomings of traditional ethics before emerging problems in the contemporary world; circumscribing how ethical principle of responsibility emerges and showing how extent scientific progress demands ethical prudence. Therefore, we support the idea that the ethics of Hans Jonas goes beyond the anthropocentric relationship, promoting bio-cosmocentric ethics that includes the extra-human, considering the development of ethical awareness and the responsibility of man to the present and future of life on the planet.
This work is part of my current line of research focused on the study of the Church in modern Spain as a social and power institution and, in particular, on the monastery of San Jeronimo de Cordoba, Valparaiso, where I have started a case study because of the inquiry, redemption and valuation of one of the most outstanding, richest and most significant accumulated documents provided by the Jeromes, Cordoba: the so called "Protocol" or book "Tumbo". The formal analysis and mainly the content of private church documents is the core of this contribution. Its information on assets, novice admittance, real protection, relations with various institutions in the city, charity foundations and creation, expansion and maintenance of the monastery, are definitely necessary to get to know the newly born Valparaiso economically, socially, politically and culturally in the early fourteenth century, maintained until the first confiscation in the nineteenth-century as a genuine example of the Iberian Order to which it belonged. ; This work is part of my current line of research focused on the study of the Church in modern Spain as a social institution and power and, in particular of the monastery of San Jeronimo de Cordoba Valparaiso, which I have started a case study precisely because the inquiry, redemption and valuation of one of the most outstanding, rich and few significant accumulated and provided documentary traces the Jeromes Cordoba, namely: Its called "Protocol" or book "Tumbo". The formal analysis and above all this great content is private church documents the vital center of this contribution. His information on assets, income novice real protection, relations with various institutions in the city, pious foundations and creation, expansion and maintenance of the monastery, are definitely necessary to meet economic, social, politically and culturally to Valparaiso, born, Indeed, very early in the fifteenth century, maintained until the first confiscation and important nineteenth-century as a genuine example of the Iberian Order to which he belonged.

This study analyzes the relationships between personality traits, human values and socio-economic characteristics and intertemporal financial choices among young soldiers in the Brazilian army. Through the use of a survey, 218 young men in compulsory military service between 18 and 23 years of age from Cascavel, PR participated in our study. The results of our analyses suggest greater patience than impatience in their intertemporal financial choices, in a constant, non-hyperbolic discount model. Many young people did not present intertemporal discount models. The Pearson correlation coefficient revealed a significant association between personality traits of openness, conscientiousness and extroversion; basic human promotion, suprapersonal, existence and interaction values; and socioeconomic characteristics such as the mother's level of education, marital status, family income, growing up in a rural or urban environment and the size of the municipality of origin. These results suggest which emotional or contextual factors affect young people's intertemporal financial choices and how they can influence information processing and individual decision making through affective heuristics.

An evaluation of Argentine, Brazilian and Chilean cooperation on security policies over the last decade demonstrates that high levels of trust have been sustained. This article proposes a heuristic model for the analysis of cooperation between states on matters of security policy. The model that is suggested is based on three levels of analysis that condition the security policies of the countries under consideration: 1) State and society; 2) inter-state relations and 3) international systems. Next, it is argued that common rules shared by different countries are more easily established when this involves small groups of states at a regional level, and not at a world scale, in which it is much more difficult to achieve unanimous or consensual acceptance of rules. Following a macro-theoretical debate on states' motivation to cooperate in an international system, the author introduces Karl W. Deutsch's concept of "security community" and questions whether such a community can be found in southern Latin America. The heuristic model that is introduced should permit answering the questions posed and determine the phase of integration.
