The aim of the article is to identify and critically assess the key concepts, ideas, and the epistemological principles of the contemporary sociological theory. In light of the "peripheral" concerns, the aim of the paper is to identify and critically assess the meta-methodological principles of the contemporary sociological theory. The article focuses on the relations between sociology, society, modernization, and globalization, including the "borderline" Lithuanian case. In the later analysis, the paper focuses on the differences of social theory and sociological theory, the sociological forms and the criteria of their differentiation. This paper analyzes the legal framework of the Exchange Rate Mechanism II (ERM II), its objectives and practical aspects. This mechanism is the exchange rate policy of the euro area and non-euro area EU Member States participating in this mechanism, which aims to ensure the economic stability of the European Union and to prepare the countries for the adoption of the euro. ERM II plays an important role in Economic and Monetary Union as mean to ensure a stable economic and monetary system and stable prices. Moreover, it is one of the stages for countries to join the euro area. The ERM II is regulated in the most important legal acts of the European Union - the Treaties of Rome and Maastricht, as well as in more detailed legislation - the resolution and the treaty. When a Member State joins ERM II and agrees on central exchange rate and fluctuation margins, it is supported by intervention at the marginal and coordinated intramarginal intervention mechanisms. Intervention at the marginal is performed automatically, but also countries can agree on coordinated intramarginal intervention. Both types of intervention are carried out by the national banks of the Member States and the European Central Bank through the intervention to the foreign exchange market and thus adjusting the exchange rate. For a long time, Lithuania used the currency board as a currency management mechanism and used to fix the litas exchange rate with the US dollar. Finally, Lithuania became one of the first ERM II members, of those who joined the European Union in 2004. ERM II was used by Lithuania for more than ten years before the euro was introduced in 2015. ERM II will continue to be one of the key mechanisms in the European Union's public finance sector, but most of its participants will only be temporary as their participation is only one of the convergence requirements.

The problem arises in finding the balance between regulation and competition. Regulation itself limits competition and restricts the economic growth, but can minimize the risk of failure in the business activity. Competition encourages the economic growth and but if there is no regulation and control over the business activity, the risk of failure is high. In order to find the balance between regulation and competition, it is important to understand what are the main principles of Competition law which provides with the main principles of competition and rules encouraging a healthy functioning of the market. The Regulation shall help to implement the competition rules in the everyday and in this way to implement the aim to encourage the economic growth.

Constantly changing world political situation, Lithuania was necessarily included (depending on the term - and his involuntary) held in military actions in the world. The state claimed in a constant state remedies: fortifications, buildings and so on the XX centurie's third decade the new fortification concept was formed - enshrined in the territory of the districts, which are designed to protect the border. The aim of the thesis - to evaluate old and abandoned military object mapping capabilities. The investigation object is selected Kalvarijos municipality in old and abandoned military sites. Thesis developed research methodology was based on the literature of studies object, cartographical materials and field research evaluation results, which allowed accurate and thorough examination of old and abandoned military object mapping capabilities. In order to accoplish thesis objective, five objects were formulated:the literature analysis and literature review established military items of inventory demand, developed the old and abandoned military object mapping methodology, evaluation of military items in the Kalvarija's municipality mapping capabilities and field studies caried out "Molotov line" sample. During field studies, 28 military installations located in the municipality Kalvarijos data were collected. The study showed that the Lithuania of old and abandoned military cartographic material objects are not sistematized. Data on military objects are incorrect: cartographic database are not available for users, there is no map, too much information, inaccurate localization of objects. One way to identify the subject - object identification in determining the precise coordinates of the object localization by providing descriptive information about the object. Designed for military items - Kalvarija's municipality located in the old and abandoned military objects database that, for military destruction, for finding new or additional, updated information or the occurrence of presence, is not complete. Therefore, in order that the edge of the military objects in the database is accurate and complete, it needs to be constantly adding and updating.
