Many different positioning systems for ordinary IT users were developed since GPS technology became available not only to US military. Those systems led to new kind of services – location-based services. Some of the widely used positioning systems are analyzed in this work and their main functionality is marked out, positioning technologies compared. Architecture of multi-user positioning system and its main implementations aspects are given. Also there is an analysis of distributed system development and testing issues that may lead to project failure or its cost rising and a software development and testing model suggested. This is a practical model which lets reduce the risk of failure.

Object of the research: absorption of the EU funds in agricultural holdings. Aim of the research: to analyse the means of the EU support for agricultural holding modernization and shortcomings of the methodology during submission of proposal evaluation of farm activities applied for the means by National Paying Agency and received funds absorption, to discuss theoretical indicators for economic lifecycle and investment project evaluation and come up with suggestions for improvement of this evaluation methodology. Objectives of the research: • To perform detailed analysis of agriculture holding modernization means and to present evaluation of analysis of effectiveness of fund absorption applied by National Paying Agency. • To provide theoretical benchmarking of economical lifecycle measures and evaluation methods of investment projects and to develop methodology for evaluation of fund absorption effectiveness on agricultural holdings; • To test empirically possibilities and shortcomings of the methodology application of by 8 farms. Research methods: during the research the overview of scientific literature and legislation, statistical data analysis and systematic methods were applied. While analysing performance of agricultural holdings, quantitative and qualitative analysis and comparison of results were carried on. Research results: • Part One deals with detailed analysis of agricultural holding modernization means and evaluation of effectiveness analysis of fund absorption applied by National Paying Agency; • Part Two presents theoretical benchmarking for economical lifecycle measures and evaluation methods of investment projects as well as developed methodology for evaluation of fund absorption effectiveness in agricultural holdings; • Part Three focuses of empirical testing of outcomes and shortcomings of the methodology application by examples of young farmers' farm in Kaunas county.

Radiated susceptibility is mandatory test for both successful electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests and product certification procedures. It also reflects the quality of the electronics design and technical solutions to ensure product shows no degradation of performance by presence of any electromagnetic (EM) signals, noises and interferences. This is very important for medical, automotive, aviation and military applications where electronic devices might suffer from high level EM interferences and device operation is related to critical safety. Though high precision and repeatability far-field testing methods often preferred by the full-compliance laboratories, they are lacking of information and often limited to "Pass/Fail" type of results. The proposed improved spatial resolution magnetic near-field probe, the adaptive scanning height methodology and the instruments enables radiated susceptibility mapping and hotspot localization of radio frequency printed circuit boards (PCBs). The detailed analysis of the common electronics components, the PCB layout and the scanning height influence for the -6dB magnetic field aperture size and shape was determined. The developed methodology allows RF susceptibility mapping and hotspot localization for high integration RF devices that might contribute as a helpful tool for troubleshooting and analysis for EMC laboratories.
