; Under the conditions of the accelerated development of Russian economics, commercial sector and due to a great number of international private companies we can see the intensified problem of tolerance of future diplomats, international specialists, regarding to the system, its the main components such as political, economic, military. It is supposed, that in the modern student environment of future diplomats we can notice the exaltation of values of individual pragmatism and increasing the lack of sociality by deciding of questions about their present and future professional activity. Sociological researches carried out among the students of faculty of international affairs in 2002, 2007 and 2012 review different factors of professional and communicative tolerance. The author of this article markes and diagnoses the materially pragmatic and art-substantial values of the chosen profession and it''s given an interpretation of value orientations content on the categories of employment after the university graduation. Students'' estimations define the personal competents of government employee, which are necessary for the successful carrier in the system of MFA of Russia. The interpretation and the real content of communicative tolerance levels are reviewed in the article. The ethnic component of communicative tolerance is studied separately. In conclusion of the article we can define the role of material differentiation of students in the context of communicative tolerance. According to the analyse it is confuted the initial supposition about the glorification of individual pragmatic values and shortage of social responsibility in the student environment. It was found out, that in the communicative tolerance the level of empathy in the personal contact is keeping to be prevalent and stable according to different years of survey. However, it is deduced, the occurred for 10 years the growth of students material welfare didn''t contribute to the growth of communicative tolerance. On the whole, data analysis for 10 years of monitoring shows, that the balance of tolerant and intolerant factors regarding the selected profession and communicative practices is keeping to be the same in the student environment.

Trade fairs are events that attract extensive media coverage, and thus also many journalists. This is why the PR work of trade fair companies is a multifaceted field, which must take into account a variety of influential factors. Cooperation with media professionals is vitally important for project-related PR in particular. Continuous and balanced press work utilizing the full spectrum of PR measures is indispensable for such cooperation. Trade fairs and the media work in a partnership, and they are mutually dependent. To strengthen this partnership and to ensure that both sides can enjoy the most effective working relationship, methods must be used that not only ensure an optimal supply of information to media professionals, but that also maximise benefits for trade fair companies. Multimedia communication technology makes it possible to provide the most important information to journalists and media representatives in a rapid and affordable manner. As the primary research and publishing tool used by both sides, the Internet is playing an important role in PR today. The web can intensify the notion that PR is a service for the media, as something that makes it much easier for the journalists to do their jobs. But nevertheless, trade fairs are gathering places, opinion-shaping events and marketplaces that, unlike other enterprises, offer a product that brings together representatives from the worlds of business, politics and the media at one location. This is why public relations must do more than just provide information. Multimedia PR can ease the workload of media professionals, but it cannot replace personal relationships. The top priority of public relations departments at trade fair companies should be to build trust and to work to ensure enduring, consistent partnerships. The possibilities of multimedia communication technology can only supplement such efforts. But the basis for maintaining these relationships is still personal contact and face-to-face discussions between PR specialists and media representatives. And trade fairs, which are media events and communicative marketplaces, are especially well-suited venues for such interaction and conversations.

The book is a group biography of the 175,000+ Latvians who fled their homeland during the final year of World War II (1944-45), lived until 1951 as refugees in Sweden and Germany, and then dispersed to other countries throughout the world. The post-1945 history of these Latvians includes a description of their lives in 'displaced person' camps in post-war Germany, dispersion in the 1949-1951 years, resettlement in new host countries in Europe and overseas, strategies of adaptation to the new circumstances, organizational efforts, acculturation and assimilation, measures of cultural and linguistic preservation, renewal of contacts with the old homeland, generational change and disagreements, political mobilization, changes in personal and group identity, and, after 1991, the inclusion by the Latvian government of the descendants of this post-war population into a formally designated 'Latvian diaspora' (Diaspora Law, 2019).
"In Neighbourhood: Designing a Liveable Community, renowned architect, professor and urban planner Avi Friedman describes the planning of a new neighbourhood in Middlesex Centre, a rural municipality in southern Ontario. Friedman explores how good and bad design affect our homes and civic life. In his quest to build a new kind of neighbourhood, Friedman talks about personal architectural and community touchstones that have informed his work through the years. Over the past decade or more, worrisome signs--climate change, depletion of natural resources, unrelenting urban sprawl, the tyranny of the automobile, the decline of face-to-face human contact--have motivated us to radically rethink home and community design. In Avi Friedman's view, these issues have combined to force us to question fundamental practices and come up with better solutions."--
This is Gerald McGhie's fascinating and insightful account of some of the highlights of almost 40 years service as a New Zealand diplomat - most notably in the Soviet Union - twice - first during the Brezhnev years of the Cold War; and second from 1990 when he witnessed the dramatic events that led to the fall of Gorbachev, the rise of Boris Yeltsin and the collapse of the Soviet Union, which saw him become New Zealand's last Ambassador to the Soviet Union and first to Russia. McGhie worked in Samoa earlier - shortly before independence in the 1960s, and later in Papua New Guinea. The author also presents a snapshot of the activities of a Wellington-based foreign service officer during the period he worked closely with the Foreign Minister on the sporting-contact issue in the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games in 1990. He also provides a personal perspective on New Zealand's foreign policy inthe modern era

First published in 1925, this selection of letters throws light upon the life and character of Constance Lytton (1869–1923), a brave and influential figure in the movement for women's suffrage. From an aristocratic background, she became a member of the Women's Social and Political Union in 1909, calling on the support of her many contacts. Among her achievements was the first-hand exposure of the poor treatment and force-feeding of working-class women on hunger strike in prison: she deliberately had herself arrested and imprisoned in disguise and under an alias. Compiled by her sister, Betty Balfour (1867–1942), these letters cover her adult life, mainly comprising correspondence from Lytton to close family members, interspersed with illustrations of her and her family. Despite omissions - particularly details relating to her personal relationships - this collection remains an important tribute to her life and to the history of suffrage and prison reform

AbstractThis article focuses on the role that local employment services (LES) play in informal social capital building for young people with a disadvantaged social background. The personal networks of these young people usually embed few useful resources for labour market integration, and LES actions may be an opportunity to informally build a network of contacts with better resources. To explore this possibility, biographical interviews were conducted with 24 young adults who used LES actions, and their employment trajectories were analysed. The findings highlight that these actions—especially those consisting of training or internships—provide social capital that is useful for labour market (re)integration. Linking social capital is the type of social capital that is most useful for job seeking, and it is especially effective in non‐metropolitan rural areas.

Until the end of 2021, in accordance with the Act on Personal Income Tax (PIT Act), persons single-handedly raising children benefited from joint taxation with a child, while as of the beginning of 2022, they are entitled to the tax relief of PLN 1500. After growing criticism of the recent amendment to the act, our government decided to return to the former legal status. The aforementioned tax advantage, while being of great practical importance, raised and will continue to raise several doubts after the amendment. One of the most important issues is the precise definition of who is a "single parent" – whether this criterion is met when a child lives with one parent, but contacts the other parent and spends time with him or her occasionally, or when divorced parents have joint custody of a child. The Polish Deal (Polski Ład) partially addresses these doubts, but obviously does not dispel all of them.

The article recounts the changes in the security perception of Poles after the outbreak of the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic. Upon utilisation of comparative empirical research carried out in 2020 and 2021, using the diagnostic survey method with the survey techniques, the conclusion confirmed that Poles' sense of security decreased in 2020 and 2021. According to the respondents' answers, the most frequent explanation for declining security perception coincides with the threat of contracting the coronavirus. Those include losing a job due to the restrictions introduced in economic activity, determined by the appearance of the coronavirus, and the introduction of restrictions on movement in connection with the occurrences of COVID-19. In addition, the study found that the respondents' most frequently chosen methods of improving their sense of security include using personal protective equipment, avoiding contact with other people, and refraining from leaving their homes.

The earliest responses to the social, economic and health crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia came from local community initiatives. Around the country, local community groups, neighbourhoods and villages worked to organize community lockdowns, providing personal protective equipment (PPE) for health workers, and food and goods for people who had lost income. Within weeks, local governments responded by closing schools, implementing work-from-home policies and imposing local and provincial movement restrictions. These efforts effectively slowed the spread of the virus in the first half of 2020, providing a window that should have allowed the national government to mobilize adequate resources to establish the effective testing and contact-tracing infrastructures which international epidemiological guidelines and experience have shown are critical to containing a pandemic. ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the experience of military nursing in "Operation Return to Brazil" in an aeromedical evacuation. Method: this is an experience report of the nursing staff in the Aeromedical Evacuation of potentially-contaminated Brazilians who were in Wuhan, China, after the outbreak of the new coronavirus. Results: the report was constructed from nursing care performed in three stages: pre-flight, screening, and flight. Pre-flight care would include aircraft configuration and material prediction. In screening, the staff was concerned with being properly attired. In the health assessment of returnees, in-flight, attention was focused on Personal Protective Equipment handling to minimize the risk of contamination by prolonged contact with potentially-contaminated passengers. Final considerations: nursing was committed to planning all the actions of this mission, which was one of the longest, strenuous and unprecedented in the history of aeromedical transport in Brazil.

The present research intends to analyze the maturity of the use of Web 2.0 technologies in the Portuguese bank sector, trying to determine which one of these institutions is more present in social networks and best practices. Technological change is the major cause of most of the changes that have taken place worldwide, from cultural, social, political, economic, personal and even psychological changes. It was determined as a general objective: to identify what is the information that different institutions put in the most popular social networks (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter). In order to integrate research in the field of study, the several interactions of the institution and the clients in the Web 2.0 were regularly analyzed; in this case, the Facebook official page of the institution and the aggregated pages of the same social network that can assume the same role of direct contact between the institutional image and the clients and users.
