Social Representations is one of the most important theories in contemporary social psychology. Since the social psychologist Serge Moscovici developed his theory of social representations to explain how a scientific theory such as the psychoanalysis turns into a common sense knowledge many studies have been done by different social psychologists. The analysis of the social representations of women as represented in myths & popular beliefs is an excellent opportunity to study how this theory can be applied to this representational field. At the same time it makes possible to understand the formation of attitudes towards women.
; Throughout the history of art there were different modes of representation. After the mimetic representations of the classical period and the modern episode of selfrepresentation, artistic contemporaneity presents new paths in the construction of its thematic references. Under this new condition, the works of art of different artists recover, through contemporary modalities, the representation of thematic areas typical of political art or autobiography. ; Facultad de Bellas Artes
Through an analysis of the relationship between legislation and language, equal rights laws, and parliament and language, the author maintains that the integration of women as subjects, which has led to the inclusion of the word that designates half of the human race –woman– in constitutional texts which define the political pact of citizenship at the highest level, as well as in national and regional laws concerning the equality of women and men, should necessarily be reflected in the language of every norm. The definition of laws as norms of a general nature which apply equally to all people without exception was developed, particularly, as part of a break with a system whose general rule was that of discrimination. Therefore, if one of the main criteria of laws is quality, the gender perspective should also be incorporated, since language plays a decisive role vis-à-vis the interpretation of the contents, something which has been understood in the laws of equality cited in this study. Language should reflect reality, in this case, the existence of women and men, and adapt itself –just as institutions do in other fields– to the changes which occur.
; Through an analysis of the relationship between legislation and language, equal rights laws, and parliament and language, the author maintains that the integration of women as subjects, which has led to the inclusion of the word that designates half of the human race –woman– in constitutional texts which define the political pact of citizenship at the highest level, as well as in national and regional laws concerning the equality of women and men, should necessarily be reflected in the language of every norm.
This paper works on the representation in Law. After distinguishing among representativeness, symbolic representation and practical representation, the paper focuses on the last one (there the representative «acts for or in the place of» the represented). Depending on the nature of the represented, three kinds of practical representation must be found in Law: individual, institutional and collective ones. There are very different ways of generating the representation relationship, but it always implies both a constitutive aspect (the consequences of the representative's acts are attributed to the represented) and a regulative aspect (the representative must act in the interest of the represented).

; This article is based on the following hypothesis: in Jacques Rancière's reflectionsabout emancipation, the modes of appearance of social movements do not have anaggregated sociological nature; instead, what is at stake is the creation of their scene ofappearance. For Rancière, the relations between art and politics are not founded on theircontents but on the modes of their realisation. But they are not only configured throughdiscursive forms; images also play a crucial role in the creation of sensitive worlds vis-à-visthe presentation of the dominant discourse. Based on this hypothesis, this article arguesthat Rancière's philosophy contains a 'methodology of edges' that is useful for exploringthe ambivalent capacity of images in geopolitics to produce territories, to trace lines ...
