Featuring the world's largest concrete dome, the Norfolk Scope (derived from kaleidoscope for it's re-configurability) is a center for sports, entertainment and conventions in downtown Norfolk. It was designed by Italian architect Pier Luigi Nervi who based it on his design for the Palazzetto dello Sport, built Rome for the 1960 Summer Olympics. As part of Norfolk's postwar, the revitalization, funding for the dome came from the federal government after architects solicited Sen. A Willis Robertson. THIS SECTION ENUMERATES THE PROVISIONS OF THE GENEVA COMMITTEE ON DISARMAMENT ON CHEMICAL WEAPONS, AND CONSIDERS THE SCOPE OF THE CONVENTIONS. THE CD CALLS FOR THE PROHIBITION ON ALL MANNER OF HANDLING OF CHEMICAL WEAPONS, AND THE OBLIGATION OF STATES TO DESTROY ALL CHEMICAL WEAPONS THAT CURRENTLY EXIST. THE USE OF PESTICIDES AND RIOTCONTROL TEAR GAS IS AS YET AN UNRESOLVED ISSUE. THERE IS ALSO LIKELY TO BE FURTHER DIAGREMENT OVER DUAL PURPOSE AGENTS AND TOXINS.

The objective of this article is to examine the use of scope conditions in the formulation and empirical test of hypotheses in the social sciences, particularly in small groups research. Ideas are illustrated with experimental workfrom expectation states theory, a comprehensive research program on how interaction inequalities in task groups are developed and maintained. This work provides a particularly apt illustration because expectation states researchers have made extensive use of scope conditions as a strategy in theory development and testing. In this article, I discuss the advantages of this strategy and examine two aspects of its use, namely, (a) the different ways in which scope conditions can be met by the provisions of research designs, and (b) the different techniques that can be used to check that a design has indeed been successful in this respect. The article also includes suggestionsfor improvements in these two areas.

The focus of this paper is the syntax of inverse scope in Hungarian, a language that largely disambiguates quantifier scope at Spell–Out. Inverse scope is attributed to alternate orderings of potentially large chunks of structure, but with appeal to base–generation, as opposed to non–feature–driven movement as in Kayne 1998. The proposal is developed within mirror theory and conforms to the assumption that structures are antisymmetrical. The paper also develops a matching notion of scope in terms of featural domination, as opposed to c–command, and applies it to otherwise problematic cases of pied piping. Finally, the interaction of different quantifier types is examined, and the patterns are explained invoking morphological considerations on one hand and A′–reconstruction on the other.
