Social philosophy: History, current status, and future potential ; Filosofía social: Historia, estado actual y potencialidades
Social philosophy has a future independent of normative philosophy, which could eventually lead to the pretense of a weak and formal anthropology. Basedon recognition theory and given that current social philosophy has a historical basis, together with the stated anthropological dimension it will ensure its survival in the future. This article is divided into three parts: I) History of social philosophy; over the last two hundred years, philosophy has undergone a process of differentiation that has resulted in the creation of several sub-disciplines. For this reason, although the classical tripartition (theoretical philosophy, practical philosophy and aesthetic philosophy) subsists, in practice, other divisions have arisen that hardly fit the aforementioned scheme; II) an analysis of social pathologies, which implies that it should no longer be the State, but Society that slowly separates from it. This is how social philosophy emerges, as an ethical perspective, used to study social pathologies, which provoke social struggles that seek recognition and emancipation; III) potentialities of said discipline for the future. What should be assumed as "normal" about a social way of life that enables emancipation would be validated to the extent that the members of society itself come to a consensus on the desire to assume social development through democratic organization.

; The treatise De regia potestate et papali by John of Paris is considered the most influential work on political theory written during the conflict between Philip the Fair and pope Boniface VIII. This importance stands out against John's earlier silence on political matters, when he taught philosophy and theology at the University of Paris. Why did John of Paris shift his focus to political philosophy? According to established opinion, the treatise was written in 1303 and was aimed to refute the papalist position of Gilles of Rome and the bull Unam Sanctam. This article, however, shows that John was the first theologian to intervene in the conflict and that, in turn, Gilles of Rome and the pope responded to the claims of the royal party. The first draft, written before April 1302, was used by Pierre Flote at the first National Assembly in Paris in order to buttress the royal claim to sovereignty. As a reward John obtained the long-awaited chair of theology at the University of Paris in 1304.

Market, Morals and Democracy in Axel Honneth's Social Philosophy ; Mercado, moral y democracia en Axel Honneth
The present article addresses the relationship between market and morals as developed by the social philosophy of Axel Honneth. By looking at Honneth's assessment of the normative foundations of the modern division of labour, I explore his interpretation of the moral nature of economic or distributive injustices. I also examine Honneth's description of the market as a sphere of "social freedom" that involves a promise of reciprocity which is fundamental to the legitimacy of economic exchange. I discuss these two interpretative models of the relationship between market and morals in terms of their normative contribution to debates on the democratisation of the economy.

The policy of New Normality under the lens of social philosophy ; La política de Nueva Normalidad bajo el lente de la filosofía social
The current epidemic crisis has shaken the confident robustness of the contemporary social system based on politics, science, technology and the free market. This test sets out a critical observation of New Normality policy from a socio-philosophical perspective. It is assumed that this policy is a regression to government phenomena that show continuity in an invented rhetoric and taxation of socio-moral behaviour. The notions of State building, etopolitics and resilience serve as arguments to support that proposition. Finally, a positive discussion was offered on the subversion and antifragility of societies as a political strategy against new rules promise a future time, but not a different socio-economic and political space. ; International audience ; The current epidemic crisis has shaken the confident robustness of the contemporary social system based on politics, science, technology and the free market. Filosofía de las ciencias sociales: ¿Para qué?
In: Revista mexicana de ciencias políticas y sociales, Band 64, Heft 236

Four levels of self-interpretation: A paradigm for interpretive social philosophy and political criticism ; Cuatro niveles de auto-interpretación.
If we are to find the criteria for critical analyses of social arrangements and processes not in some abstract universalist framework, but from the guiding 'self-interpretations' of the societies in question, as contemporary contextualist and 'communitarian' approaches to social philosophy suggest, the vexing question arises as to where these self-interpretations can be found and how to identify them. This article presents a model according to which there are four interdependent as well as partially autonomous spheres or 'levels' of socially relevant self-interpretation that have to be taken into equally account in order to provide a solid basis for social and political criticism. Thus, it is from the tensions and inconsistencies between (A) social ideas and doctrines, (B) social institutions and practices, (C) individual beliefs and convictions, and (D) body-practices and habits that social pathologies can be identified and possible solutions can be envisaged.

The social philosophy perfecting the human race. Eugenics of the 21st century ; La filosofía social del perfeccionamiento de la raza humana. Eugenesia del siglo XXI ; A filosofia social do aperfeiçoamento da raça humana. Eugenia do século 21
The tragic, but brilliant 20th century was a long period of time permeated by enormous political and economic problems, by the dawn of wars and by profound scientific advances, in which, in addition, it was left as a historical fact, the implementation of the conjugation of Charles Robert Darwin's theories on natural selection and the approaches of his cousin Charles Galton Darwin on the natural process that must be followed to eradicate human deficiencies. This conjugation of theories and approaches were called by Charles Galton in 1883 as "eugenics" and whose application determined from the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century that humanity should be decanted into its most suitable races. The aim of this work, through documentary research and a qualitative method of analysis, is to expose that the philosophical theories of improvement of the human race gathered in eugenics and used in the twentieth century, preponderantly by the Nazi regime, the scientific advances in the codification of the human genome, in the techniques of assisted human reproduction and in pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, whose development and consequences, the term liberal eugenics was coined.
