; In the context of presidential elections in Venezuela, the author analyses the experience of Socialism in the twenty-first century from the point of view of the paradigm that studies the relationship between state and the civil society, where he finds unresolved tensions between conservatism, statism, presidentialism, concentration of power, corruption, consumerism, paternalism, the squandering of taxpayer's resources, bureaucratism, governmental inefficiency, several derivatives of the oil revenue and participatory public policies, communal councils, popular democracy and proletariat politisation. From a Gramscian perspective, which views contradiction and ambivalence in state power, it is possible to solve the challenges of an elitist vanguardism and anti-statism. This idea is advanced from the view of a strategic vantage point in class struggle, not free from problems caused by a failure to become socialised, the persistence of the capitalist matrix and the endurance of Chavism's regressive tendencies. In addition, he tackles the question of authoritarianism within the Venezuelan United Socialist Party (Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela), deals with missions, in particular Agrovenezuela Mission (Misión Agrovenezuela), and also the Socialist Guayana Plan (Plan Guayana Socialista) and the 2013-2019 "Simón Bolívar" National Socialist Plan (Plan Nacional Socialista "Simón Bolívar" 2013- 2019), and points out the need to include interpretations of left-wing processes in the context of a proposal for Latin American socialism. ; Fil: Ouviña, Hernan Dario.
