Der Autor stellt ausführlich die politische Mittlerrolle Rußlands im Konflikt von Nagorny Karabach dar und beschreibt die in diesem Zusammenhang auftretenden Probleme in den Beziehungen Rußlands zu den Mitgliedstaaten der Minsker Gruppe der OSZE. Abschließend werden die weiteren Verhaltensalternativen Rußlands in bezug auf seine Rolle bei der Konfliktlösung in Nagorny Karabach vor dem Hintergrund der geopolitischen Situation im Kaukasus diskutiert. Der Verfasser rät der russischen Führung, eine Strategie der Entglobalisierung des Konflikts zu verfolgen. (BIOst-Mrk)
