Abstract

Este artículo plantea cómo fue la primera recepción del debate político ambiental internacional por parte de los partidos Comunista y Socialista de Chile. El artículo se enfoca en el Gobierno de la Unidad Popular que encabezó el Presidente Salvador Allende, dado que su gobierno coincidió plenamente con la puesta en escena mundial del debate ambiental con motivo de la celebración de la Conferencia de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Medio Humano en Estocolmo en 1972. El estudio se realizó sobre el examen a los medios de prensa escritos principales que identificaban a estos partidos. El diario El Siglo para el Partido Comunista y el diario Las Noticias de Última Hora para el caso del Partido Socialista, tomando en consideración que la prensa no sólo refleja la opinión e ideología de quienes escriben en ella, sino que también influye y forma opinión en su público lector.Palabras Claves: Partido Comunista de Chile, Partido Socialista de Chile, medio ambiente, ecologismo político, Gobierno de la Unidad PopularThis article discusses how was the first reception of international environmental policy debate by the Communist and Socialist parties of Chile. The article focuses on the Popular Unity government that led President Salvador Allende, for the reason that his government fully agreed with the staging global environmental debate on the occasion of the celebration of the United Nations Conference on Environment human in Stockholm in 1972. The study was conducted on the review to the main briefs media that identified these parties. The newspaper El Siglo for the Communist Party and the newspaper Las Noticias de Última Hora in the case of the Socialist Party, considering that the media not only reflects the views and ideology of those who write in it, but also influence and shape opinion in its readership.Keywords: Chilean Communist Party, the Socialist Party of Chile, environment, political ecology, Popular Unity government
