Parliamentary performance of PVEM: LVII-LX Legislatures ; Desempeño Parlamentario del PVEM: LVII-LX Legislaturas

Abstract

The paper describes the work of the Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) in the House of Representatives during the Legislatures LVII-LX (1997-2009) from a quantitative and qualitative analysis. So in one hand, using the rate of legislative efficiency and in the other, accentuates the topics that emphasized or omitted during their work. Thus, attempts to demonstrate the importance of the PVEM Parliamentary Group on environmental issues and how the Party obtained a high level of support in its initiatives within the Congress ; El artículo describe el trabajo parlamentario del Partido Verde Ecologista de México (PVEM) en la Cámara de Diputados durante las LVII-LX Legislaturas (1997-2009) desde un enfoque de análisis cuantitativo y cualitativo. Así, por un lado, utiliza la tasa de eficiencia legislativa (Te); y por otro, subraya los temas sobre los que enfatizó u omitió su labor. De esta manera, trata de demostrar la relevancia del Grupo Parlamentario del PVEM, al evidenciar su trabajo en asuntos ambientales y cómo ha logrado obtener un alto nivel de apoyo en iniciativas aprobadas dentro del Congreso
