Abstract

В статье рассматривается влияние языка на формирование демократических тенденций в обществе. Дискурсивные различия правителей и подчиненных может привести к неверной интерпретации высказываний, дискриминационному поведению и, как следствие, созданию недемократического государства. Так, демократические идеи Конфуция, Иисуса были поняты как антидемократические из-за использования архаичного языка и неточностей перевода. ; The article analyses how language influences the formation of democratic tendencies in society. The author argues that discoursive differences of rulers and their subjects may result in the wrong interpretation of utterances, discriminatory behavior and, consequently, may lead to the creation of a non-democratic state. Thus, democratic ideas of Jesus and Confucius were understood as antidemocratic because of the use of archaic language and inaccuracies of translation.
