Abstract

Статья посвящена сложным отношениям между Россией и Англией в условиях Балканского кризиса середины 1870-х гг. Особое внимание уделено анализу восприятия британской и российской периодической печатью событий русско-турецкой войны 1877-1878 гг. Авторы публикации на материалах прессы различных политических направлений стремились показать, как в новых условиях военного противостояния периодические издания этих стран не просто регистрировали ход военных действий, но и пытались активно в них вмешаться, направлять процесс формирования политических настроений как в своих странах, так и за их пределами. ; The article is devoted to the complicated relations between Russia and England under the conditions of the Balkan crisis in the middle of the 1870s. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the Russian-Turkish war (1877-1878) events perception by the British and Russian periodicals. The authors, by press materials of different political directions, show how the periodicals of these countries not only recorded the course of military operations, but also tried to intervene actively in them, to direct the process of political sentiments formation both in their countries and outside them in the new conditions of military confrontation.
