Today we are entering a new era of responsibility, which involves the development of new thinking associated with more global and deep vision of the rapidly changing situation. Modern time requires special knowledge, all areas of work need not only "socially mobile" specialists, but also who is able to lead, manage responsibly and reasonably. All of this relates to the functional responsibilities of the director of theatrical performances and festivals. Modern director should identify new contradictions, implement and develop innovative forms and modern technology, form a new outlook, thinking, values-oriented activities in a changing reality. Nowadays along with specialist competence, another problem must be solved. It is the ability to gain credibility. It is not only necessary quality of a leader! Image of the organizer, the manager, the director is an important aspect of the profession. In order the image helps the director successfully do his job, it should be actively formed. Today image technologies are taught how to do it. In the basis of these image technologies it is modern psychology (social, political, psychology, mass psychology, advertising, and so on) and the image (at any level) is based on patterns. How great the mission of the profession is! The creative activities of the director is managing of constant inner work on oneself. The ability to feel the time and adjust himself are especially important in any profession and for any manager. This is the basis of the image formation. This is important: the opinion about the director, about the profession in general determines not only personal success of organizer, but also the success of creative teams and festive events in general
