POLITICAL AND CULTURAL ASPEKTS OF COLLECTIVE IDENTITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF CONTEMPORARY POLISH-UKRAINIAN RELATIONS ; ПОЛІТИКО-КУЛЬТУРНІ АСПЕКТИ ФОРМУВАННЯ КОЛЕКТИВНОЇ ІДЕНТИЧНОСТІ В КОНТЕКСТІ СУЧАСНИХ ПОЛЬСЬКО-УКРАЇНСЬКИХ ВІДНОСИН

Abstract

The article states that the Ukrainian-Polish mutual understanding discourse has dealt a devastating blow because of the adoption of the Polish Sejm resolution (11.07.2016) on the recognition of the 1943 Volyn Ukrainian-Polish tragedy as genocide of the Poles. That is, the Poles came under the influence of the technology of "enemy image" creation while reformatting their own collective identity. Accordingly, the reformatting of the Polish identity was directed into the past. In turn, the contemporary recoding of the Ukrainian collective identity in the first place is related to the present day and, secondly, is directed to the future, due to the hybrid Russian-Ukrainian war in the East of Ukraine. At the same time, the future is for the cooperation between the two countries (Poland and Ukraine), that will definitely overcome the current differences and form a non-conflict mutual collective identities.Keywords: identity, collective identity, national identity, the Polish-Ukrainian relations, hybrid warfare, Ukraine, Poland, the European identity. ; У статті зазначено, що дискурс українсько-польського порозуміння набув нищівного удару через ухвалення Сеймом Польщі резолюції (11.07.2016 р.) про визнання Волинської українсько-польської трагедії 1943 р. геноцидом щодо поляків. Тобто, поляки попали під вплив технології створення «образу ворога» при переформатуванні власної колективної ідентичності. Відповідно, переформатування польської ідентичності виявилося спрямованим у минуле. Натомість, сучасне перекодування української колективної ідентичності, по-перше, пов'язане із сучасністю та, по-друге, спрямоване в майбутнє, що обумовлюється гібридною російсько-українською війною на Сході України. Разом з тим, майбутнє – за співпрацею двох держав (України та Польщі), які обов'язково подолають сучасні суперечності та сформують неконфліктні між собою типи колективних ідентичностей.
