Abstract

On the basis of scientific works by Polish authors and own observation the movement of Polish society from totalitarianism to democracy (in 1980-1990) is depicted. Emphasized that Poland has different from other socialist countries : in Poland Catholic Church's activity has always been more independent from the Communist party; there has been private sector in agriculture in Poland; young scientist were living training; students had access to west European literate etc. All these was favorable for oppositional movements development, which consolidated into "solidarity", development of which lead to democracy in economy and politics in Poland. ; On the basis of scientific works by Polish authors and own observation the movement of Polish society from totalitarianism to democracy (in 1980-1990) is depicted.
