Abstract

The article considers the problems of morality, as the identified problem is a quite important component of education and personality formation in modern Ukrainian society. It is noted that at the present stage the content of moral education is determined by the urgent needs of society. Emphasis is placed on the importance of inculcating moral values among the younger generation. The main theoretical provisions concerning the content and essence of the process of education of moral values of a growing personality, in particular, on the basis of analysis of philosophical, pedagogical and psychological works of leading domestic scientists, is highlighted. The modern interpretation of the concepts «morality», «moral education», «morality» is revealed. The results of determining the priority of value orientations of modern children are presented. The analysis of tendentious changes in the modern society as a result of political, economic processes in the country, as well because of military events is carried out. Particular attention is paid to the psychological and pedagogical interpretation of the concepts of «difficult child», «difficult upbringing», «deviant behavior», «immoral behavior», «moral defectiveness». The importance of morality as a social quality of the individual, its role in the regulation and formation of social relations is revealed; the influence of the environment on the moral formation of the personality is considered.
