Estudios del trabajo en Cuba. Una mirada retrospectiva / Studies on work in Cuba. A look back

Abstract

El artículo da una mirada en retroceso, como expresa el título, a los estudios que han tenido como centro al trabajo, entendido como categoría de las ciencias sociales. Se recorren temáticas, instituciones, autores, influencias teórico-metodológicas ydestinatarios. Se concluye que, sin olvidar destinatarios tradicionales como los empresarios y los decisores políticos, hoy se escribe para un público mucho más extenso: el pueblo y su conciencia pública.This paper presents a backward overview over Labor Studies in Cuba since the sixties up to now, always considering researches that pointed out the work as central category of Social Sciences. Issues, authors, theoretical and methodological influences and other addresses are considered. As a conclusion the paper argues that, aside politic and entrepreneurial managers, the Cuban people and its public consciousness are the goal public of the Labor Studies current contributions.
